I'll grab a few packs, but only for the lobi and mats. If I get a Connie, I'll pick a random ToS lover from ESD chat and give it to them for free.

0. Im not a TOS fan but I cant support releasing these beloved ships this way. As a TNG fan I can go to cstore and buy a T6 Galaxy for $30 a TOS fan should be able to do the same for their ncc-1701.

In the first days to over a week your probably right but if past RD/DOFF pack ships like the t6 bugship and others are any indication the t6 connie will most likely reach 350-400 after a few weeks when all the EC rich players that want it got it and demand starts to drop.
I'll try maybe 10, but that's it. Not going to spend a lot of cash trying to get it.

Why not spend your hard earned bitcoin to purchase some just as hard earned zen that you can use to unlock hard to earn R&D packs to obtain a very very hard to earn special promotional starship?
I would buy R&D packs for the sake of buying R&D packs.... like other people said, the ships are just a bonus for moi.
If I do get one of the ships, I might sell it on the exchange (trying to accumulate enough EC for a Vengeance or D4x, those ships are amazing) or I might keep it, if it has decent stats.
For ships? Zero. (I won't lie, I want them, but not in "OMG, I must have one, money is no object" way.)
For lobi, maybe a few, because I spent most of it on my agent (was worth it) and want to build up a reserve again. Would’ve been a definite "yes" if it was DOFF packs instead.
