I like the look of the event ship enough to actually bother with the summer event this year. Thank you for adding a ship to the event that wasn't another one of those ships that look like they were made by the Junkion's from Transformers.

I like to use a quick FaW+APB to soften the targets up a little.

I get the account unlock portion of it... but why give an option to purchase an extra one at a "significant discount"? Is this alluding to getting an extra boxed ship, presumably account bound, that we can pass on to future characters?

I think is supposed to allude to the fact that you can pick it up for free in the event store. Like the other event ships.

It's saying "any character on your account can claim the Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort once you've earned the ship on a single character", just as with any other event ship currently. The first part is just a little in-universe window dressing around in-game UI interactions (there are in fact no real Risians to negotiate with.)

Probably because Cryptic seems to want to improve on the quality of mixed ships, so no Torp only or Beam only. FWIW, rainbow and skittles were a laughing stock for a long time and are way better now (rainbow arguably more so), there are traits like "synergy" for using both torps and beams.
About the ship: I don't really need another escort, but since I kinda like the gameplay I'll take it. Which is more important to me than the actual reward. To get me to play the mirror event with its annoying players who complain more than actually play the mission again, you'd probably need at least a T9 ship and 10k zen as a reward. Summer and winter events are fine though.

Look forward to Risa nonetheless despite no T6 Corvette. Maybe more STO friends & fleets will come back online again. Can also use a few more swimsuits as there's no such thing as enough.
The space caracal ship looks adequate. Does it come with a nice interior? Preferably with big windows that my caracalitian crew can sit at?

There's only so much one can do for male swimwear, unless you want to run around in a mankini (think Borat) or some sort of Chippendales outfit.
I, for one, like the event ship... I'm planning on using it as my T6 Vulcan starship, as it has that feel to it... Until they make a T6 Vulcan ship, this will be the one...
Can't wait to see the stats on it and start planning my build for it. May have to switch from the current plasma build to a tetryon build for it from what I hear...
