Now if we weren't limited on where we could use the outfits and people could still earn ships from the past few years. Might actually make this mind numbingly boring event worth doing.

    Can I Haz Ur Stuffs?

Me, I'll be having fun flying around in my jetpack for a few minutes a day and earning a shiny new T6 starship account-wide unlock for all current and future characters. Thanks Cryptic!

Why would I be giving away anything? Just because I find an event that hasn't changed much since it was first introduced boring?

Wow, I've been doing some window shopping courtesy of @dabelgrave 's fabulous Ship Comparison spreadsheet, and isn't it interesting how similar the new event ship is to the Lifer Heavy Escort? Tell you this much, I won't feel bad anymore that I can't have that Chimera! LOL! Now they'll have to roll out some other OP Lifer ship.

It will still be nice having the Heavy Escorts since they are faction designs instead of alien. Also, the torp buff trait is nice for a torp boat.

Yeah, you've got me there. The Starfleet pedigree of the Chimera is a nice look. It always feels awkward tooling around in alien designs for a Starfleet Captain/Admiral.

I'd like it more if it would build up Synergy stacks more reliably. I oftentimes get stuck with 8 or 9 stacks of it, and it absolutely refuses to spill over into 10 (even if my energy weapons keep activating). It'd also help if I had a better visual cue to let me know when my limited window is, and when it's recharging. They both use the same icon, and the only difference is the length of the timer, meaning 10 seconds left on your Synergy recharging is identical to your Synergy buff is activated and you have 10 seconds left to fire your torps for the buff

Mousing over the icon is highly inconvenient in the middle of combat so I can know which is which.

I would enjoy this event more if I didn't have to lower my graphics settings to almost zero, just to get decent frame rates.

This map and new Romulus are really badly coded, but at least on New Romulus you don't have to try and fly around the map...

    According to the website blog...
During Star Trek Online’s 2016 Summer Event you will be able to obtain Lohlunat Prize Vouchers (2016) by participating in the Flying High event.

However the High Flying Event is only giving Lohlunat Favor, not Lohlunat Prize Vouchers.

I've done this event 10 times trying to get the vouchers to no avail.

Is this going to be fixed?

The prize vouchers are on a 20 hour cooldown, you can only get them from the quest once per day.

More like.. who among the development team is a glutton for punishment:open_mouth:

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I like this event a lot. Forgot how fun it was. Finally tried out that giveaway mini board, its nice but I'll buy one of the bigger ones since I find them better looking. The new jet packs are ok, nothing special just some stripes sprayed on. I have yet to buy myself that retro bikini or whatever its called. Already bought that new cat pet, paradise type and looks really nice. Can't wait to unlock the new vorlon ship.

According to the dev blog, one of the new rewards is a Tropical Tribble - can anyone enlighten me as to how/where on Risa I can get one from?
  • dirlettiadirlettia Member Posts: 1,632 Arc User
like all event tribbles, just feed an event food to a tribble.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

I am confused! When I go to run the Flying High daily, it tells me the reward will be 20 Favors. How can I earn my daily 40 whatever the rep currency is when it only offers me Favors?

There is a 20 hour cool down similar to how the special rewards for CE and MU events were given. Assuming you did the flying high immediately after it became available yesterday then the reward will be available in another 1.5-2 hours from now. The vouchers will be rewarded for the first run. After that count down for 20 hours again. To avoid confusion you can use a rep project daily or a R&D daily both of which have a run time of 20 hours.

In mean time the reward is favors.

Or you can use the new "show cooldown" option in the PVE queue window.

I think I preferred it better when going to the contact and it showing the mission on cooldown better. Have one entry for the daily and one entry for the rerunable one for favors so it is clear which one a player is running.

Or that.. new goodie i had not yet discovered.

I've tried that with a Risian Sunrise and got a Risian Tribble, and with Baked Risian Beans which got me a Lohlunat Tribble...does anyone know if the Tropical Tribble mentioned in the dev blg is just one of those by a different name, or is it something different and there is a specific item or combination required to get one?

Feed a tribble the new blue rare risian food for 8 favors to make a new Risian tribble.
Feed a tribble the previously available green uncommon risian food for 5 favors to make a Lohlunat tribble.

Ah, so the Risian Tribble and the Tropical Tribble from the Dev Blog are one and the same.

    Thank you for the clarification.
  • officerbatman81officerbatman81 Member Posts: 2,761 Arc User
I believe there is just those two tribbles. As there is only two grades of food.

Are they going to fix the hanging up that occurs when switching between toons? I don't have any problems with framerate or anything else on Risa, just the abysmally long loading screen, over a minute sometimes.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D
