Well, a T6 Connie after years of "there will not be an endgame Connie" would be enough for a blog on its own, so if there IS a T6 equivalent coming, with backwards compatability, they are probably just saving that announcement.
But if they DO give us a T6 analogue, I hope and pray it can use the Refit and Excalibur parts as well.
I think it depends how TOS faction will work in the actual in game universe. Will they have access to 25th century tech or not?
Since they are based on the 23rd century it seems only natural for them to have only 23rd century ship technology. But on the other side the Temporal Agent pack includes some pretty futuristic future looking T6 starships.
But if they are basicly time travellers with access to future Starships, why call them TOS-faction in the first place?
So this whole matter looks a bit confusing to me to be honest.

The thing is they said if you have the T6 and TOS versions of a ship, you can put the TOS parts on the T6, so the questions are do the TOS characters have access to the T6 ships (current timeline feds clearly will have access to all this at least), and will there be a T6 Connie analogue announced closer to the expansion
Let's put it this way: they paid ThomasTheCat to go through the efforts of creating an entirely new Connie model and textures (not just a retexture like on most of the other updates, an entirely new model). While it *might* have been done just for the sake of better looking cutscenes, I think you can read between the lines here.
I watched the trailer again and the Enterprise in it seems to be slightly different skin than the t1 connie Ive seen in game... perhaps there will be a "Fleet" t5u version for us? Im cool with that. Esp if we can use TMP skins
Guys many of you missed this. Go back to the trailer and re watch it. LOOK at the Enterprise. it's not the same as the tier 1 constitution. There may be hope yet.

Well..now that is an interesting turn of events - who knew that TtC would go to such lengths!
"If you own a TOS ship and its T6 equivalent, you can put the TOS costume on your T6 ship!"
What kind of meaningless double-talk is that?! There's currently only 1 TOS ship, the T1 Connie. If the Temporal Game Pack offered a T6 version of it (which it doesn't), you'd already have a T6 Connie. And since they won't offer a 'T6 equivalent' of the ship we already have, we won't ever be able to skin a TOS ship as such either!
We see three other TOS Era starship classes in the third screenshot here:

Connie was 'T6' of it's era (the best of the best).
So assuming it will remain 'the best of it's class' for 'that era'. A T6 Connie may be viable strictly within the parameters of the new season. But NOT within the universe as a whole.
First off, my compliments to the OP for his effort keep this topic of a T6 Exeter as on topic as possible. I respect your efforts to keep it that way. Today's announcement, as well that Tweet, certainly put a new spin on it. Would you agree?
I was already in favor of your reasoned request. And would have been happy should your effort succeed as originally suggested.

So a T6 Daedalus is going to be possible with this expansion! Something I've wanted forever and ever ... an endgame Daedalus. Not just a golfball, but THE golfball!
for me this is the /micdrop
T6 Connie would be awesome too, but I'll take my T6 Daedalus and be over in the corner with my precious!
I still think the fact that Trendy has not closed down a T-6 Connie thread (or equivalent) in over three months, is the most important thing to take into consideration.
Before that, they were closed quite rapidly and with warnings given out.
In my personal estimation, we WILL be getting some version of a T-6 CONSTITUTION with this expansion.
Thanks to Mr. Dan Stahl 'Never say Never' has finally come true.

that is not what i mean. i mean, is the connie included as a "new ship" because it has been updated recently and could be put out there as a "new ship" or is the connie not included?
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
I'm really stoked about this, means I can finally use the T'Liss TOS skin on my end game T'varo and yes I would appear that there is the possibility of an end game connie however they may have redone the model just to bring it up to the same standards as the new TOS ship models.

Remember Delta Rising, how they redid the model for the Intrepid-class ahead of the launch, and then didn't announce it as part of the expansion and everyone freaked out because they thought they weren't getting it, and then the Pathfinder was released in the C-Store right after the expansion went live?
I'm not sure that TOS Temporal Whatevers are going to be an actual faction of any kind, more like an alternative way of leveling a Fed char until they arrive in 2409. They won't (and probably can't) put a whole different game into this one.
And since we ultimately arrive at the same point, the Connie has to stay T1, because that's where it is in 2409
Not YET.... besides the ranger is damned close. I doubt they really went through all this trouble to overlook that unless CBS just seriously puts their foot down.
They have been for half a decade...I don't know why people would think they suddenly would change their minds...
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
funnily enough I would like to know a couple of things about the ships also, what do you get if you don't buy the ships?, also will you have access to other c-store & event ships you have unlocked on your account and will you be able to access the TOS pack with your regular characters.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Not YET.... besides the ranger is damned close. I doubt they really went through all this trouble to overlook that unless CBS just seriously puts their foot down.

Ummm...
The FIFTITH (50th) ANNIVERSARY of The Original Series...
And a complete STO Expansion dedicated to that same event.

I don't know why people would think they suddenly would change their minds...
Because a lot of us have posited/speculated/theorirzed/worn tin foil hats guessing that the only thing holding back any movement on this was licensing issues related to JJ Abrams' films being at the forefront of Trek. And some of us have been saying for years that once the third film was out and done (and Abrams having firmly moved on to Star Wars) ... that this might change the landscape. And still more of us suggested that CBS was holding back a bit because they had nothing going on in the TV series arena. Now, in one crazy fun year we're getting:
1- The third of the three film deal of the new Star Trek films.
2- A new TV series in production.
3- The 50th Anniversary of TOS.
So the time was ripe for something like this, with all this retro 60s looking sci fi Star Trek tech and look. When framed around a time travel story, it's just good fun. And quite an opportunity to revisit this idea. And with many of the speculated obstacles now being less of an obstacle ...
Who knows. Maybe things have changed!
Or not.
But a T6 Ranger will be viable. And a T6 Daedalus. I'm fine. We're all fine here. How are you?
Not YET.... besides the ranger is damned close. I doubt they really went through all this trouble to overlook that unless CBS just seriously puts their foot down.

Whatever reason CBS originally said "no" may very well have changed. IMO, there are 2 most-likely reasons:
1) the time period STO is set in
2) something to do with the JJ-movies
If we're talking about #1, then this new expansion would suddenly change that and may allow the connie to be used in the TOS faction, if not the normal Fed faction. If we're talking about #2, pretty much all business restrictions come with expiration dates, and it's possible that issue may have simply expired by now.
Of course, we don't know. But I have a feeling the 50th anniversary is pretty much 'now or never'. This is the most likely time we would ever get an end game connie in STO. And if it doesn't happen this year, it probably never will.
Again I say...
The fact that we've been essentially allowed to go amok talking about a T-6 Connie (and its ilk) for the last three months or more, with no Mod telling us to stop...,
Is the best clue to one actually coming down the pike.

I agree. That is very compelling evidence.
I'm going to keep my expectations in check mind you. There's no official word yes, and still you know the post and the FCT entry, official word saying no. BUT ... there's a lot of hope and reason to speculate. Which is cool.
And really I know people are combing over the blog post and the offer sheet and the dev tweets like crazy analyzing every minute detail, but this is pretty standard operating procedure for their PR cycle. They haven't told us all of the details. And will be releasing it in drips and drabs. So like one very valid guess is there is going to be a T6 "Cruiser" that is an analog to a T1 Enterprise Class cruiser. And that will allow skin swapping. But they're saving it for its own big announcement. Maybe? I don't know.
Either way, what I've already read and already seen is awesome and has me happy. I get to go play TOS space barbie!

THAT is the question because atm with that pack the connie is the only one of those TOS ships w/o a correlating t6
