Look I love you guys but I'm slightly pissed off because the Romulon AND KDF versions get to break your own rules about five consoles... what gives?

Forgive us for doubting, oh mighty ship artists! Those Fed ships, one and all, are beautifully done. The angularity of the Tac variant isn't my cup of tea, but it's beautiful nonetheless.

You know I was afraid you guys would go over the top and give the science a commander slot. Now I'll safely go open my Paradox box. I may get the kdf tac version for the heck of it.

Is that a typo, or does the Sojourner Class actually get one more Boff slot than the other two variants?

EDIT: Either I looked too quickly or it's changed, and while the Sojourner has an odd layout, it is the same number of seats. Very different from the other two variants.

Why does the Endeavour have a 4/4/3 console layout, as opposed to a 4/5/2 it logically should have to mirror the Yorktown?

Boo, no hangars on Odyssey/Bortasqu'. :p

On a more serious note: Can the T5 flagship set be used on the T6 flagships?

KDF tactical has five tac consoles despite being a cruiser with a commander engineering, this goes against the policy they set up during Delta Rising.

Science Scimitar has five science consoles despite not being a science ships with a commander science... again it defies their own rules though I'm sure the T5 versions do the same thing I just never payed attention because they were ugly.

Still worth pointing out this discrepancy.

How come You don't give us a 'downward' pylon/nacelle combination anymore with the Fed ships?

The Fed ships are quite disappointing. The Romulan ones are as expected, not having real opinion on the KDF ships.

They also have it off between the Endeavour and the Yorktown, slightly favouring the tactical variant here over the others.

Is that right about the Martok getting 5 tac, 3 eng, 3 sci console setup? That's kind of a big change from the T5 version being 5 tac, 2 sci, 4 eng. Not that I mind but I'm just wondering if it's a typo.

Well, I was thinking of getting the Fed (at the least) pack but after seeing them still not being on parity with the Rom flagships and not having any real advantages over my Fleet Yamato, I can wait to get the traits, since that's why I would buy them. Nice that they tie in with the anniversary ship. I also think Thomas did a fantastic job on them. But for now, I'll stay in my Yamato.

What I want to know is if the T5 Flagship consoles work on the T6 ships?

Indeed! You can use the T5 Odyssey consoles on the T6 variants. Same is true for Bortasqu' and Scimitar variants. Note that the 3 new consoles found on the T6 variants are in their own separate set.

The T5 tac Bortasqu has 5 tac consoles and is infact the first ship ever to have 5 tac consoles in the game.

What makes the FED "Flagships"? I feel the FED flagships are underpowered compared to their counterparts. No hangar. Stuck at the slower turn rate. No cloak (obviously, and not required on FED ships). No 5 tac consoles for the tactical version. No extra weapon power. Smaller crew. It just seems to have a moderately okay hull (only better than the romulan one) and a little higher shield modifier.

    Am I missing something?

Am I the only one here who noticed flagship technologies set using krenim science ship console as a set part?

    REALLY?!
    AGAIN?

Cryptic haven't yet resolved issue of people that missed 5th anniversary ship not being able to have a full set of command battlecruiser consoles and now you are doing exacly same thing with next anniversary ship and following zenpacks?

this is one of the most Illogical things I've noticed in game development - wasn't community whining about samsar console laud enought or what?

Hmm... All 3 KDF ships look amazing both stat wise and cosmetically. This is going to be a difficult choice.

They are a bit odd for sure. I'm wondering that they traded HP for shields while the Battlecruisers for some reason get the highest HP of the bunch. But other than that, the fed ships are more balanced than the others. And smaller crew is actually an advantage as long as nobody at Cryptic bothers to rework/fix crew mechanic.

These ships were made before T5-U/T6 ship rules and break the "no more than 4 consoles on an off-Commander profession". It's something we're aware of, and had to respect their stats since T6 ships are based off of T5-U stats, which are based off of T5 stats.

Ok, Yorktown will make the perfect replacement for my T5U Amby on my Sci Captain. Upgrade & SA as an added bonus.

I do far prefer the Sojourner Hull, very reminiscent of the Ambasadador & Galaxy.

Not a fan of the Fed Tact hull.

KDF & Rom ships look great but satisfied with my lineup until a T6 Vor'cha or Kamarag comes along.

But love the Sojourner hull, Yorktown is very nice, but Sojourner is my favorite.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

Interestingly enough, this announcement comes about a day after the point that if you didn't start the anniversary grind, you have no chance of completing it. This is sort of odd.

Ships all look fine to me. Only thing is, the original Bortasqu is an amazing looking ship. Hard to top that. Still, some of those KDF Flagship images are pretty hot.

There's a whole lot of Flagshippy goodness here. I'll probably grab the whole blasted megabundle at some point. I just have so many new ships right now, I need a moment to breath. :)

Only one complaint and is just something from an engineering view, why just why are there weapon emitters on the engines? Who in Star Fleet would think its a great idea to put a phaser emitter on a warp nacelle. A high energy weapon firing from a place where you never want high energy weapons to hit or cause an inbalance in the energy flow. It just takes me out of the game when ever I see a ship firing off a beam from one of the nacelles.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

Ah, that makes sense. They just retain their T5 stats, but it's causing quite a bit imbalance in the ship line-up. But thanks for clarifying. pig-1.gif
