Bought the presideo because everyone seems to rave about the ship. Personally don't need another cruiser but people say the trait is a must have. I've been holding off buying it, 20% though is a good incentive to do it. Also thought of buying the Yamato, but that'll have to wait until the next ship sale.
I considered picking up the Jupiter but the trait is not something I believe was not worth the zen for at the moment. I may consider getting it another time. I got the Scryer for my Science character instead and this ship has so much science / intel potential as well as a must have science trait. I also picked up the defiant bundle as I did not have money when it was initially on sale. Hope to give all the ships a shake down soon.
None. Cryptic was a day late and a dollar short with their sale. I had already spent my holiday cash by the time they got around to it.
How were they a day late on their black Friday sale? :P
Every other game that I play started their Black Friday sales bright and early on Thanksgiving morning. By the time Cryptic rolled out their sale, it was the afternoon on Friday in my timezone. I had already spent my cash by then.

well, all those games TRIBBLE up then, because thanksgiving is always on THURSDAY, not FRIDAY, which is when black FRIDAY takes place; cryptic did it right

For the most part I agree. But Black Friday creep has become rather widespread across all the retailers in the US. I mean some of them started Black Friday deals on Nov. 1 lol. More like Black November now I suppose. Ah well, in the end I just felt that they were too late so I opted not to go for it. If they decide to have it on earlier next year, I might pick something up.
so what ship did you all get at a discount price on friday?
me I got the new jupiter class starship along with the t6 galaxy dreadnuaght bundle pack
None. With the jump in the dilithium exchange black Friday was not a discount but additional fee. Not to mention that my dilithium stock is still in the process of recovering from previous purchases through the dilithium exchange.
I did the math and found that, even with the slight spike in dilithium vs. Zen, it was more cost effective to buy during the Sale since...
12,000 Zen x 100% x 230 dil/Zen = 2,760,000 dil cost
12,000 Zen x 80% x 250 dil/Zen = 2,400,000 dil cost
...so...
9600 Zen could have been sold to buy 2,400,000 dilithium
...and...
2,400,000 dilithium could have been resold later to purchase about 10,435 Zen if rates dropped back to 230 dil/Zen
...which is...
Not enough to buy what I wanted
...and so I got the Pilot Escort Mega Pack. In the end, the Dilithium Exchange fluctuations still made it a better deal to buy the ships then than to have a volume of dilithium. It only worked out to like a 14% discount when you compare resources, but I'd been wanting the Pilot Ships anyway, and being a "functional alt-o-holic" I wanted the full 9-pack. I generally prefer the cross-faction packs, since I don't buy solitary Fed offerings as a means of metaphorically thumbing my nose at the almighty metrics that limit KDF/Rom development cycles; the cross-faction packs allow me to maintain that stance while not abandoning my Fed characters entirely in terms of ship options (and now Admiralty).
I wanted the Kolasi too, but my resources didn't quite support getting it on top of my other acquisitions... next time.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I got the Resolute because I discovered an awesome kitbash. Initially, I hated on that ship when they released it. I have to take some of that back now.
True, the Resolute model itself wasn't all that great and not looking like an Excelsior at all with that hideous chevron.
I tried kitbashing and got something out of it though. I mixed the Resolute's main hull, neck and pylons with the saucer of a refit Excelsior and put on the warp nacelles of the original one (the lit version).
The result looks pretty awesome with the new hull material actually. My only gripe is the somewhat lackluster BOFF layout.
I should mention that I grinded this thing with dilithium so I might feel better about rather than spending 30$/25$ on it.
So ya, I like it now, just needed some customization lol
I didn't. There were a few I was tempted by but in asking myself what my future self wants he definitely replied back "that Zen for a T6 Sovy and no major grinds between now and then."

I bought the Multi Vector Escort, and had enough left to buy 1 key, I opened a Herald box with it, and got exactly the herald weapon I wanted. SCORE!
Money went for Christmas. And the Dil to Zen exchange is too costly. I don't have even close to the amount for a ship. Its way too high for now. IF it was back at 130-150 range I would got one. I can't play that rich man's exchange at this moment.

Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
I got the pilot mega pack. Was considering purchasing some other multifaction packs but really I only like piloting escorts and the odd cruiser. So it was hard to justify dumping a bunch of money on stuff I probably would never use. But I suppose if they had a cyber Monday sale I might reconsider buying some more packs since I have 15000 zen burning a hole in my pocket haha.
Harpia - considering Rom Sci wasn't even on the distant horizon, it's going to be a long while, and I've already waited around much too long.
Vastam - the art designer(s) of this had some serious inspiration going on there, combined with specialty ship, AHOD, and wanting something heavier than the Aelahl.
Ning’Tao - best BoP design ever, wish I could use it on the Kor. Already took it into advanced STFs where it did its Raiding provided the team could tank some of the torpedo spam. The quad cannons aren't spectacular after private pvp testing but they look great firing and get extra shots on target while turning in/out of firing arc in the long intervals the DHC are on CD.
B’Rotlh - for the set bonus (for fun) and costume unlock on the Kor which happens to not work despite saying it does in the release blog of the Kor/Defiant bundle.
T1 T’Varo - set bonus (for fun) and singularity stabilizer which on paper looks better than singularity inverter for maximizing up time, and when combined should keep that singularity near-always full.
Services - these things are so costly when you add them up.
Saving the rest waiting on a T6s: Rom Sci, Scimitar, Vesta, Odyssey, though at the same time I am fed up with paying 2x for the same ships which has happened with the B'Rel, Avenger, and that ridiculously expensive MVAM from T5 Prometheus for Hestia.
Carrier + fleet version. Nice ship in terms of boff layout and stats, not so much visually but wth Also, my only "small" ship is a T4 Patrol Escort, so I got myself a Phantom, especially for the trait. Wish I had some more zen left for the pathfinder but yeah, can't have everything eh
