The Resolute came out AFTER the Command Cruisers though. So saying they are the same as the Resolute is putting the cart before the horse so to speak. And you can kitbash the three Command Cruisers to make a pretty good, hugh quality mockup of the Typhoon. The Typhoon model was low quality compared to many of the ships we had in game. ESPECIALLY newer ships.

None of that does invalidate Artan42's point, though. The command cruisers look like inflated resolutes and they look nothing like the old Typhoon. Low poly model or not, the command cruisers do not look like a HD makeover nor a evolution or modification of the Typhoon model. They were replaced with them, obviously, but that doesn't mean they have anything in common.

    what part of this Concordecbc.jpg
    looks anything like this?
    ResoluteClass.png
because the only similarity i see is the HULL COLOR

    the nacelles don't match
    the secondary hull doesn't match
    the saucer DEFINITELY doesn't match

so i don't know what similarities you people are seeing, but they don't exist

Command Cruisers are more like the Typhoon then the new Jupiter is like the old Jupiter.

Funny enough, had Cryptic named one of the varieties of the Command Cruiser as Typhoon, probably a lot of people hating on it now would be lapping it up. Typhoon, Cyclone, Hurricane.

They have design similarities in the same way the new Jupiter does to the old one.

    That qualifies.

Don't think it will. The Atrox was also a sci carrier and didn't have that. Its not a dedicated Science Vessel like the Pathfinder.

True but the Atrox is a T5/T5u I mean SA should be included at the absolute least as a T6 Ship.

I could live with just a secondary deflector, it's a TRIBBLE poor science ship currently. Only four console slots and no secondary deflector lessen it's usefulness.

    I know it's a carrier but still...

Did we all ignore the one I posted? Which basically has the identical secondary hull and nacelle angle? pig-39.gif Aside from, as artan said, we all have the game and can see for ourselves.

It is true that it's only one variant and possibly kitbash leading to that result, but that's the point. Before the resolute people were rather convinced that the command BC is supposed to be the T6 Excelsior.

Except the Jupiter has been confirmed to replace the old one. It's been striped down to its top hull and rebuilt from that. If Ctryptic had named one Typhoon, I would have grudgingly accepted it. As it stands the CC's are completely unrelated to the Typhoon.
