Pfff... Played all the species and missions but I'm bored every time I hit lvl 60 with a char I deleted why because I don't want to do all the darn grinding. Anyway did the new missions a few times bought a bunch off ships from the exchange upgraded them to an worth playing fleet ship. all that done and still bored out of my skull, did try to make another char but I just fail to have the spirit sounds I need a break, But I can't I'm still upgrading my main to Mark XIV, did a lot of grinding and dilithium rewarding missions to keep going but men there is so little spirit to continue because there is not much else to do while waiting on the R&D Timer. You can't even research epic stuff... And with the new Cardessian series is not much wrong but it's a hasty job some sounds are not working and the enemy are to darn easy plus the rewards are less then expected. even with the new grind they introduced only earning you 50 thousand dilithium ain't really a prize right ?
Did they really have 6 month's work on a season with only 4 missions a admiralty system witch is great if you pick the right missions that is. and some bug fixes along the way.... Alright I would say there is a content drought, I really thought they would do lots more stuff.... to the game like make the fleet stuff all to Mark XIV all other stuff upgraded to Mark XIV.. Instead that missions gave out Mark XI that they would have upgraded it by now they give LvL 60 chars Mark XIV stuff.... Well to stay short here just expected a lot more from this season thats all...
So did you expect more from the Development team ??

Can I haz ur stuffs?
That said, if you're bored take a break. No game is worth playing indefinitely. You enjoy it, let it go for a while, maybe come back, drop it again, come back, repeat. That (from my experience at least) is the normal cycle.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence

If you're bored.. quit.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but enough with the threads to tell everyone you're not happy.. no one really cares. When I get to the point where I no longer enjoy the game I'll simply stop playing it. It's what any rationally thinking person would do.
The need to start a thread telling everyone you don't like the game or your going to quit is just a shameless cry for attention. It's a game, it's not your job.. if you don't like it then stop doing it.
Enough of these pointless 'I don't enjoy the game anymore' threads. No one cares. It's one thing to post ideas or suggestions, it's another to just try to get people to sympathize with your discontent.

What to do at endgame? Why upgrading? To do what???

STO need good, balanced PvP system...
Territory control, Fleet vs Fleet fighting for sector space, for all map...
Free PvP zones where people can fight for endgame mk xiv gear, for marks/dill, for PvP ranks...
List the playstyle, how is that any different than PVE? Grinding is grinding. If you can make any grand pronouncement on what STO needs (ie. what works and would work better if there was more of it, and for the record I don't think you really can make such a statement reasonably) it's more organic content. Specifically, something like an exploration/patrol system revamp, integrated with the Admiralty/doffing system [so outcomes there affect available missions in some way, and vica versa] mixed with a continued emphasis on episodic content and, for good measure, a bone thrown to the Foundry community as well. We are getting quite good at mission building...

YOU TRIBBLE
1: Quit... Go away for a while... 3 months... 6 months... Whatever... Then come back, play whatever new content, and then stay away for another while.
2: Become freinds with the foundry... Lots and lots of missions there, some worse than others.
3: Find a new goal in STO... Build a new fleet, get all the accolades, build a dream-queue-team...
You don't know anything about what a good or poor player is if you think it's about what mark level your gear is lol.
My level 60 characters with mark XII still far outperform plenty of other characters with epic mark XIV because Synergy > Gear level
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
PvP players happened.
Why they fail to do this is beyond me.
If it is all about maximizing profits for PWE, then it must be fear of losing control, and of having players discover something actually fun, and make what's essentially a solo grind look terribly bleak by comparison from first hand experience.
Part of that is also making sure the repetitiveness stays high, to have incentive to constantly buy in hopes of adding more new things to do and experiment with. This works up to a certain extent, but nowhere compares to expanding the gameplay aspects altogether.
PWE needs to reinvest into the game, cut Cryptic some slack, instead of just sucking up every penny of profit until it's all empty and everyone's elsewhere if most aren't already.

Maybe try out other queues? Sure, they don't pop as quickly, and they don't give the same rewards per time, but since everybody states that you don't nee the rewards, why care?
Increasing Mark on your equipment has nothing whatsoever do with skill. It's costly, it's time consuming, it may need a lucky roll, but having better gear has no immediate connection with being a better player. Better players tend to have better gear because they know what's better, but it certainly doesn't work the other way round, and some do not care enough to spend most of their time crafting.
While it certainly is no substitute for content, the fact that we are getting more and more voice overs on missions suggests that they're not yet in the state of milking without investing IMO.
No sympathies for the OP, since I have experienced over the years that almost everything you enjoy is subject to change. It may swing back, it may not, but you can get tired of everything.
Once mirror invasion is done I plan on spending a month or so clearing out my steam library. Already completed wolfenstein old blood. Got a ton of games I need to complete.
Who told you I was quiting the game ?? NOT I'm just bored didn't say I was quiting....

I like the sound off it !!!
"Coffee: the finest organic suspension ever devised. It's got me through the worst of the last three years. I beat the Borg with it."
I don't, for the simple reason that it's illogical. If you are into PvP, then play a game made for that or live with the PvP here. If PvE is boring for you, no amount of PvP will change that.
Some people actually don't like PvP, no matter the quality. And if you don't like PvE, you picked the wrong game. LoL is over there !
Hey and I'm not crying about it just wanted to know how some players thought about it without flaming my TRIBBLE off...

I've done it four or five times already. A week, a month, three months, whatever. I come back refreshed and ready to play some more. In fact as soon as Fallout 4 reaches my PS4 I'm going to take a lengthy break from STO myself.
Fair Enough.
If anything, I'm happy to see that for once you didn't add a poll.
No, I expected them to tend to issues peeps complained about the past year. Most of the time it was XP issues as well as alt-ing.
The admiralty takes care of both and helps me to reduce my gaming time to about 20 mins a day on a character in order to achieve optimum progression. I have fun playing teamed advanced and elite PvE maps during that time.
Instead of seeing the mirror universe incursion as a grind I saw it as shortcut to deal with the new reput. 3-4 runs are needed for a character with sponsorship token to max out that reput. It’s nothing.
As far as the rest of your post is concerned it all seems to start with the attitude in each player. You seem to have lost yours so I suggest you take a break from game to regain it.

You are butt hurt over being called out on your judgements of a new season based on ONE mission now you are making all manner of excuses to justify your posting. Do yourself a favor you dont like being called out or flamed don't post or grow a pair. End of problem.
