Hello,
trying to patch the game on 2 different systems - during patching there is a message Error:2 File not found, restarting in...
Vorce verify was not successful. Any advice?

    Also running into this issue today. Rebooting does not help, nor does setting a Patch Server Proxy.

    edit: Just ran a tracert to the patchserver and the string just flat out dies once it hits the patch server IP. perfectworldent-4.border11.bsn.pnap.net is the last good hop and then it just times out.

    same bug for me sometimes at 6 % and then at 45 to again bump at 6 next try

    I got as high as 99%.

    Same boat here, even tried doing a force verify first. No effect. just keeps giving the same error, then restarting.

    Happening to me too. Though it seems to be progressing, it's taking a long time with all the restarts.

    same here. The new T6 Dreadnought seems the one to blame ;)

    The patchclientlib is internally recording error code : 2\nFile not found - data/texture_library/UI/Kits/Shield_Tray/Hull_Bars/Ship_Health_Dreadnought_Cruiser_T6_Fleet_Bar.wtex

    having the same issues here, patched one com yesterday, no problems today, patched my laptop, error 2 no file found, anyone get any responses from sto about this yet? did it just start recently or is this another one of those ongoing will never fix because not many people have this issue?

    I have the same issue. Seems Cryptic don't want me to buy zen.

    Same issue here, OK, lets try and see if we can do anything to help Cryptic diagnose the faults.

    I can get a trace all the way to the end (although one of the hops doesn't respond to ICMP traffic) I eventually hit xboxpatchserver.crypticstudios.com with my trace. I am in the UK (South London) using the ISP Plusnet. Does anyone have anything in common with this?

    I am having the same problem. It can't seem to get that last 84mb patch. I don't know how to do a tracer, so I can't trace it like that.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    I have also encountered this error. I recommend reinstall, if not, contact Cryptic and inform them of the problem.

    to do a tracert, open the command prompt (go to start menu, run, type "cmd" without the quotes in the box, and it'll open a DOS prompt like window), then type in the command "tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com" (without the quotes) after the c:\whatever folder\whatever folder>

    From the error that Renaorn is posting looks fairly damning, I didn't realise that the logfile existed, but I managed to find it, I get the same error on the same missing texture (I assume) file.
    I'm getting it from level3.stohttppatch.crypticstudios.com Did they miss it when they rolled out the patch yesterday? It seems unlikely, people would have been shouting last night, did someone accidentally delete a file from a mission critical system? Ooops, that would win you a spanner of the week award on your desk at my place.

    Does reinstall fix it? I don't want to play STO bad enough to try. Honestly, if it is too much of a pain to fix, I do have other things to do with my time.

    I contemplated reinstall. Thanks for saying it didn't help. Now I know not to do it.

    Going to launch Oblivion instead and play that. My current character has some enchanting to do.
    Now a LTS and loving it.

    Yeah i just sat through it, it got error 2 about 3 times during the full install. first is was 11 gb to install then restarted to 8gb, then restarted with 2 gb left and now i have 88 mb's left and it just keep dropping that error 2
