Thank you for contacting us. Engineering is aware of the issue with the patch server and are looking into it. We ask you to please remain patient and to just try again after a little while. If I find out more about this I will let you know.
For the people above, talking about reinstalling, Cryptic appear to be confirming Renaorn's suspicion that this is a missing file on the patch server, Don't bother reinstalling, its something that will have to be fixed at Cryptics end. (Although I should add the disclaimer that although I am an IT pro, I don't work for Cryptic & no nothing about the internals of the game)
Also, I'm getting this on a 100mb file and the error pops up at a different point of the patch sequence (different amounts patched) each time it restarts. Best I've got is 95% complete; worst is single figures.

It's a set of texture files that seem to be failing on download.. you can see it in the errors log file in the star trek dir or do the shortcut of the exe with -console as they said in the other post that Trendy started - Patcher Issue: File Not Found
For crying out loud, whining and demanding are not going to speed things up. They're looking into it and it will be fixed as soon as they figure out what's broken.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
