Much as I hate these two designs (as much as I hate all the others), I'm inclined to believe my own conspiracy....Omega seems to be the closest to an actual carrier design of the lot.
Similarity to horrid Jupiter-Class aside, the side-profile does have that "negative Space" element which suggests a side-launching hanger bay, & it does have a feel of a large, hulking vessel, which is what a double-hanger carrier should be.
But as with my other votes, this is just me trying to vote for the least-offensive designs.
My thing is, people who're voting for Omega keep talking about 'the hanger in the middle' - where does anything say that's a hanger? Show me. It keeps getting compared to Jupiter, look at Jupiter, there's a neck in front and then nacelle struts in the rear with negative space in between, if 'Omega is the New Jupiter', what makes people think that's a hanger and not the same negative space?
Adding to this, from an engineering and combat viewpoint, Sigma makes sense.
I was thinking of voting for Theta until I took a closer look at Sigma. Now it looks like Sigma is getting outvoted. And with Theta gone before I could think of a design to settle for, I'm glad I don't have a dog in this fight at all.
Omega is so damned ugly, but they made it look similar to the Jupiter. That's not fair, they played the nostalgia card. Sigma is one the best designs in the competition if not the best.
I'm putting my money on Sigma. It has a nice compact design that really seems to "work". It feels like Trek. Why do you need a ship that's sprawled out in all directions in order to dispense fighters? Did you ever consider the possibility that Sigma might actually be a bit larger than Omega if it gets modeled?
Another vote for the losing option! )= It would seem that my taste in ship parts is fairly opposite of those voting. @pwlaughingtrendy Would it be possible to have the two ship image choices for each poll posted in the first post, please?
So it appears I am in the minority... again. I am doomed to be in the minority throughout this whole thing. Oh well.
It'd be a shame if Sigma lost. Probably the design I appreciate the most by far. I've never been a fan of the 4 nacelles, but this design is one of the very few that pull it off along with the Prometheus and command cruisers in my eyes.

Hear hear. The interesting choices seem to have been nixed by the majority - i'm actually not looking forward to seeing the release of the carrier at this point.
Yep... Im not surprised that Omega is gonna win this one... and Id bet that Omega takes the whole thing just because there are so many people who want a Jupiter-class, and Omega is close to it... such an ugly ugly vessel.
Bonus for me though... if Epsilon or Sigma dont win the contest and dont become the new carrier... I dont have to spend money on a new ship...
Has to be the Sigma, the omega looks like someone put a Jupiter through a couple of rollers and flattened it out a bit. The omega does have the unique 'sidways' launchbay (or thats what it looks like anyway) but the Sigma looks to be the more compact but powerful design that looks like it could also go into a battle along with its pets instead of being in a standoff role like other carriers in the game.

I want my Jupiter 2.0. Also has the largest hangar, if that white strip is the hangar bay (compared to the Andromeda's hangar bay on the skin, or the tiny hangar bays of the Command cruisers, or compared to the open force-field protected hangar bays of the Atrox).
Surprised, really, that there's no one commenting negatively towards the fact that with a 'Starfleet' full-carrier for T6, the Caitian Atrox is now no-longer special...

Personally, I like the nacelles on ships to be closer together then on something like the Jupiter, lots of people want the Jupiter, including me, but I do think they'll give it to us, Jupiter is a dreadnought though and not a carrier. I want the Omega because we don't have that huge TRIBBLE ship for the Federation yet. The Jupiter would be that ship but it is unplayable, and a carrier is suppose to be a big TRIBBLE ship, otherwise, you get the half carriers, which the Federation already has. The Odyssey is big, but not huge. For me, I want this carrier to act like the Vo'Cuv, in the fact that the Vo'Cuv can carry birds of prey, to have this carrier carry small escorts would be amazing. As good as some of the other designs are, they would be great for small to medium ships, but not a carrier. This is why I think the Omega should win overall.
Also, gonna call it now and say it is gonna come down between Alpha and Omega, funny enough. Epsilon is too much like Sigma and I feel like Gamma was the best out of two 'okay' choices.

The Atrox was special for being the only full carrier built for the Federation. Plus, the hangar pets it comes with isn't good for dps. I replaced those with Elite Scorpions.

Now THAT'S a carrier!

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.

They should really rename the contest, "Watch Cryptic tease you with Omega aka Jupiter for 3 to 4 week before anyone can get it"

To be quite honest, Omega is kind of a less compact version of Epsilon as well. And I voted for Theta.
