c'mon People have a look at that Private Design that i linked on the Previous site ( and the Escort that could be a new Frigatte Pet for it or even later a new Playable Escort) there is more than Just Alpha and Beta! If there is enough Support they may think about it!

they can contact the Designer, i mentioned the site and his name and i cant imagine why he should have anything against his Design being used in STO, HELL i will Contact him Personaly and ask him, maybe even encourage him to Post his Ship here himself! Lets be honest, that Private Design look SMEXY as hell and way better than those Schematics, it would be AWESOME if they would use this Design (and maybe that Escort Desin for a New Frigatte Pet for it).

I like the Alpha nacelles better also. But when I saw what looked at the six eight doors on top of Beta's saucer I could just imagine all of the fighters streaming out at once...
It wasn't easy to decide. Beta looks like it would be able to carry more pets and it seems to have more room for an hangar deck, but at the same time the ship looks powerful enough to the point it shouldn't need any hangar pets.
Man, I'm usually against any new Fed ships before getting more KDF and Romulan, but I'll agee that the Fed side has been lacking in decent carriers. I love the Atrox look but can't stand the layout.
I suspect the creation of a true fed carrier will be deployed along side a KDF t6 update of the voquv, could be wrong, but since the devs have been seeming to deploy a "basically the same ship with same trait" for each faction as of late, I'm thinking the devs might be wanting to give feds a proper fed carrier to mirror the voquv so they can both launch the the same trait. Perhaps then the atrox and karfi will show up side by side with similar traits as well... or perhaps I have the match ups backwards and it will be atrox/voquv and whatever the fed carrier ends up being/karfi.
The Nebula-configured Odyssey needs to be a thing.
It's with dismay that I note that it's looking more and more like Cryptic is going to do yet another end run around fixing the damn Galaxy X. I chose the Beta, I like it's lines and is a welcome departure from the lately overdone arrowhead shape. Some the others look more like Prometheus variants and those with vastly different sized warp engines just look odd to me.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
Beta looks far more like a true Federation ship (remeniscent of the Galaxy Class) and would look far better than Alpha as a large vessel. Alpha looks too much like some sort of escort.
I think a quad nacelle set up would be in order for a large carrier vessel.
This is kind of what I was thinking: this ship might well need the extra power to avoid being a total sitting duck on the battlefield. If this design were chosen, or another powerful-looking four-nacelle design, I would insist on increased turn rate compared to (for example) the Obelisk.
You do realize that the warp nacelles are just dead weight at sublight speeds, right? So four nacelles are more likely to hamper sublight, i.e. combat/turn speeds and they do not provide power, just warp propulsion, power is generated by the warp core, so having two more nacelles strapped on just gives redundancy for warp drive, which isn't really a consideration in this game as it's not a simulation.

I love most 4 nacelle ships,, but the saucer on Alpha is a killer for me. I would like the next ship to have a more rounded saucer like the Galaxy. The Chevron saucer just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Bridge Officer layouts, console slots are just as important. I fear the same guy who recently gimped Alita, Resolute and Hestia will also work on the slots of this ship and make it useless.

If I had to pick one over the other then Alpha. saucer on beta Dosn't look right. Looks like a Mushroom.
