Agreed, I'm a sucker for those "mean" lines on the nacelles. It even reminds me of a Polaris-class variant I used to fly (Reconnaissance Science Vessel).

Beta is the way to go, solid nacelle and pylon arrangement, and the body looks like it's ment to haul fighters. Alpha just looks like a over large saucer with some nacelles strapped on.
I think a quad nacelle set up would be in order for a large carrier vessel.
This is kind of what I was thinking: this ship might well need the extra power to avoid being a total sitting duck on the battlefield. If this design were chosen, or another powerful-looking four-nacelle design, I would insist on increased turn rate compared to (for example) the Obelisk.

This was difficult. I like the axial view of Alpha better, but the Saggital profile for Beta is better. I think the Saggital profile has more of a visual impact, so I'm voting Beta.
The Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual (pages 63, 65, and 66) states that the experiments with single and more than two nacelle designs, conducted in 2269, proved that having two nacelles was the optimal configuration for vessel control and power generation.
Gonna have to go with the Beta.

I voted Beta, but personally I really don't care for that Saucer Section. Everything else (ie nacelles, apparent hull layout, and what appears to be a roll-bar) looks great for a carrier.
Comments
I voted Alpha.
Now if the Beta nacelles could be reworked onto the Alpha, then it might be a better design...
Thank you for the time...
Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:

I just want a romulan science based carrier.

So, Beta it is.

I like the 4 nacelle and Delta shaped saucer.
