Here's my one disappointment, and it goes along with the pizza lol. We can use the older round hulls, but they are not up to snuff graphics wise as the newer hulls, and REALLY show their age. Yeah, I am pretty curious as to why Cryptic didn't update the model for the Excelsior. They did with the Akira ship, so why not the Excelsior?
I'm betting, although a Dev favorite (so I hear), resources went to the Akira.
A shame really. They botched a lot of the minor details when swapping out the parts. Several of the red pinstripes on the Excelsior Refit are misaligned when joined with the Resolute parts. Oh well, can't expect much from Cryptic anyways.
It's a Sovereign with an Excelsior secondary hull. I got one word for this: Sov-celsior.
I personally feel the best looking ship in the game for the Feds is the Excelsior, but it's so out classed now I never fly it. IMHO, I wish they would let us modify our ships internal capabilities and forget the skins.
We've got a fleet starbase, a fleet mine, research station, embassy, fleet dyson sphere house of pancakes, tennis court, fleet car wash ETC.....and 30 starships we don't use in our inventory. Here's an idea, lets build a fleet SPACEDOCK that players can dock a vessel and complete a series of 'tasks' and after lets say 30 to 45 days you have a ship you always liked that you can use again. Let me spacedock my Excelsior and after contributing a few thousand dilithium, useless bajorans and assorted materials let me modify my ship to fit my gameplay. I personally would spend a month grinding some "list of spacedock projects" to be rewarded with a modified mission vessel. After that, give me a way to "level" my ship to obtain a trait or something (I love that game ad-on, BTW) and once that's done I'll dock that pig and overhaul it again for a new set of goals. Hell, the next exploration in Star Trek might be onboard your own vessel.
How many people out there would love to change some device slots or bridge officer layouts for their Sovereign (anybody remember that ship? I know, it's been a while. It's parked right next to your Oberth in your ship selector) or maybe your Galaxy?
Thoughts? Rants? Raves? Donations? I take paypal..................
I completely agree with the above proposal. And I think you need to post that suggestion in it's own thread and not have it buried in this one.

I agree, If the Nebula. the Rhode island, the Titan and the Prometheus all got reworked, I'd be very happy.
