Assuming of course that Hakeev would be the head of the Tal Shiar in the new timeline. Because it sounds like he became leader of the organization after the destruction of Romulus.

All hail Emperor Mudd, Ruler of the brave new world created by using an idiot's weapon.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Here's the thing. Some people are assuming Annorax's Timeship is going to be built and used be the Alliance. I don't see this happening.

    1. The Temporal Prime Directive would absolutely apply and be enforced by Starfleet.
    2. Section 31, although in itself is out to protect the Federation at all costs, would not risk any change to the timeline that would result in obvious damage to the current timeline.
    3. The UFP itself would find the absolute annihilation of a species abhorrent.

You only need to watch Cpt. Janeway's reaction upon realising what the vessel does to understand.

And the biggest mistake in building this vessel would be that it would allow the Krenim to go straight after the Vaaduar, restoring the Krenim and affected races back to what they might have been and worse. Let's not forget how arrogant and bullish the Krenim Empire was when it was a large power. All you need is an ambitious and selfish person from the Krenim to realise this dream and potentially create a galaxy ruled by a technology that rivals the power of the Q!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

i don't remember if i said it in this thread or another, but the temporal prime directive, like the prime directive, is overridden by the omega directive when it's in effect, and it still is and has been since the end of sphere of influence

Starfleet didn't exactly shed a tear when the Founders were dying from an incurable disease.

I still say the temporal weapon can be used to move the Iconians out of our timeline like the Krenim did to hide and that will have some effect on their minds. Also doing so will not alter the existing timeline's past. When the Krenim hid it didn't alter the timeline.

The Omega Directive over-rides the Prime Directive (as stated on Memory Alpha), not the Temporal Prime Directive.

Seriously!!! You shouldn't insult people with an unproven theory, on top of the fact you also insult the lives of all those lost. Don't post stuff like this!

I never said to erase them. In 1 FE we learn the Iconians can't time travel and in another FE, the temporal equitement can manipulate time without erasing stuff from the timeline. Think about that solution.

Exactly. All you have to do is zap the currently living Iconians with something that causes them to travel 1 second forward or backward through time. Since their minds can't handle that, all you'd have left is a dozen or so brain-dead drooling Iconian idiots. Problem solved! Well, you still have to finish off the now leaderless and disorganized Heralds, but you can't have everything. >:)

I am not sure the Temporal Prime Directive is actually a Starfleet rule. Picard suspected that a time traveller might adhere to it (you remember the episode with the time traveller that killed the original time traveller?), but it did not sound as if it was an established Starfleet rule with the same relevance as the Prime Directive.

But even if it exists (at least now) - Starfleet has used time travel before. Kirk actually got the order to travel back in time once.

I think the bigger issue is that Starfleet probably doesn't allow genocide. So I think whatever they do, they will not want to use it like Annorax did and wink civilizations out of existence.

This is definitely how the story should go! BUSH DID IT! George W Bush suddenly shows up riding a horse through space swinging a lasso, and he gives those Iconians what for! :|

people, this is the same starfleet that only enforces the prime directive when doing so would get a whole lot of people killed. of course they ignore the rules don't kidding yourself thats what starfleet captains do, in less ignoring would actually save someone then after much soul searching they will decide not to... of course a crew member will decide the captain is wrong and save them anyway, and get at most a very stern talking to, really they'll even make a frowny face and everything.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

The Omega directive with the Voth, the infiltration of spacedock by the Undine, and now the Time manipulation of the Kremin. These are just storyline for a game. A game that cannt even figure out how to make the Romulans a full faction after three years. The op seems to think they wont just rewrite anything in this game that conflicts with the new storyline.
