We're proud to announce a brand new set of Tier 6 Heavy Destroyers for our 1,000 day Veterans! These ships come loaded up with tons of new options for Captains!

Now is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on these new ships!

    Not many people are fans of the Chimera. But I love the Chimera. And I love the Chimera because it's a reminder of all the Star Trek Lego ships I built when I was little. And I love Legos.

    So this. This is nice. :)

    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Just got my Manticore and I can confirm the best part is... wait for it... The Nacelles work in sector space again. :D

    EDIT: Also is it just me or does the "Pathfinder" like deflector make the under bulge a little less ugly.

    Second EDIT: Just took her through a Gateway to Grethor and while not perfect she still is quite a beast. :) Also after looking over all the new parts I'd say its a definite improvement over the Chimera visually. Heck, even the deflector is growing on me. :D

    Third EDIT: Oh yes, thanks Cryptic. In my excitment over the ship and fixed nacelles I forgot to say this but I felt the need to add it.

    I saw this post and I was extremely excited about it..... then I saw /command and was completely disappointed....

    Why oh why did you decide to make destroyer class ships command when either intellegence or pilot are more appropriate?

    Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.

    I thought there was new vet ships coming.. But I was not expecting them this soon.

    The Fed ship is evolved from it previous and is the Rom, but that KDF.. that looks like entirely new construction... much much sleeker then the old..


    Damd.. 2 new toys to play with..Vet T-6 DD, and Ferrengi t6 war ship..

    Very much a out of the blue surprise.. good job of keeping THIS under yer hats!

    ....And I've kinda gotten used to you guys over the years.. I KNOW it wasn't easy to NOT let a hint out..

    I am too, it was my favorite vet ship until the Daeinos came out, and just generally one of my favorite ships.

    I'm so glad you guys revamped the art on the Peghqu' for the T6 version, I barely used the Peghqu' because it just didn't look like a Klingon ship to me. But this, this upgrade looks like they strapped more and bigger guns on a Raptor. It's much more predatory and aggressive, just what you'd expect from the KDF.

    The Dinaes and the old Daeinos are reminiscent of the old FASA designs, so I've never had a problem with it since I was a huge fan of the FASA Star Trek board game. Looks good.

    Anyway, thanks for the upgrades, I definitely appreciate this and I can't wait to try them out. And it's awesome you can use the new parts for the T5s, very sweet.

    It’s a good idea but rather underwhelming from the way the blog reads. I might change my mind after testing but it’s a trait made for mixed projectile & energy weapon setups but doesn’t look worthwhile for those same setups to take. The bonus damage looks to be too short and will often trigger at the wrong time so your projectile get zero benefit. You can potentially get 5+ triggers and 0% extra damage.

    You just made a grown man squeak with delight, with the ability to dismiss my breen collection and free up some dock space these vet ships are just the dogs bollucks :)

    I honestly doubt I'll be using them much since I worked the past few weeks on improving my Xindi ships.
    Add to that the .9 shield modifier and only 10 console slots and I think my other characters might as well use the Intel Escort. Not really impressed tbh.

    That said, thanks for this change to the subscription rewards. It's nice to see that our Lifetime rewards are kept up-to-date :)

    Just loving this. Thought the ships looked good but they remained in drydock with all the new hotness around... now they ARE the new hotness.

    I would have rather preferred an LtCmdr Engineering/UniSpec, or at least /Intel, but I do appreciate the work that went towards LTS'ers like myself.

    Aside from that, I have no real issues with the new designs and capabilities. Thank you for remembering us.

    Now I can make a much better Fed HY Plasma Bomber with the Manticore (previously, the Samsar, Andromeda, and Command ships could, but the latter two were slow and all 3 better suited for beam assaults).

    As a 1000 day vet, thank you.

    Though it would have been cool to see it added as a new expansion of the Veteran Level system.
