They really should have Followed the Typical Risa / Civilian Ship Themes, a Ferengi Design for the Rise Festival is just...sad and does not Fit.
We allready have a Corvette / Speedboat (Tac) Luxuiry Cruiser / Yacht (Eng) so a Great Idea and what they Definately should have done is Follow that Line and come up with the Missing Science Ship Based on something like for Example a Space Submarine (Was Discussed in the Game by many People Inlcuding me and also on many other Sites, following Pictures Show what i mean:
those are just a Few Ideas that me and many others so Wished that Cryptic came up with something like those, such a Space Submarine as a Science Carrier like the Sarr Theln, with Corvette Frigatte Pets would be a AWESOMNES Overload and would have boostet the Participation in the Summer Event by Several Times i bet.
Sad that they have Decided to go with a Ferengi Design Instead..hmmm.
Thats what Most People expected and hoped for....not a Ferengi Ship for the Risian Event

I haven't done the summer events cause the ships stink (look-wise) imo. Now I have a reason too! After 3 years (when the Marauder first came out) of posting on the forums to put forth a new ferengi ship with is own console set... its finally paid off!
Glad to see the Lobi Crystal Consortium expanding and working with other "businesses".
The first Belfast was commanded by Captain Ve'Kal Shon until its destruction in 2409. A new ship was commissioned bearing the same name and registry as special dispensation to then newly promoted Captain Edward XIII for his pivotal role during the renewed Dominion War.
Last one kind of looks sort of like a Scimengi Ferengitar...
Though, really, if the Ferengi could get their hands on a T6 battle cloaking dreadnought with Tactical seating that's capable of launching frigates... there are a few markets they could crash.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Yeah, they have to be spent before June 4, otherwise they'll be useless. Though I did notice something odd about the buyback store. You can't buy the any of the Spec Points items unless you have 800 pearls.
You need to be level 60 to buy them. So you should have spent the last days power leveling your peral-hoarding toon...
Now you're screwed. At least the upgrade tokens are not utterly useless, which is nice. I guess.
Due to some rather distasteful actions on Cryptic's part, our Fleet will be boycotting this event.
I sincerely hope they learn from their mistakes and we will see everyone at the next event pending evaluation of Cryptic's behavior towards our members between now and then.
It's easy to boycott/ignore this event since the risian ships are no longer available (W.T.F.?)
Well, cryptic is run by ferengi, so what else can we expect?
PS: Nothing. If they find another way to suck the fun out of an event like this, expect it to be implemented ASAP.
No Risian ships for Delta recruits? Well, this really sucks..
Event ships [including the old ones] will be made into account unlocks. If you own the ships, your recruits will at some point [to be announced] get access as well.
Here's the official word [pearl retirement thread]
We will be making every event ship you’ve ever earned and every event ship moving forward total account unlocks. As soon as one character on your account owns a ship, every single other character on your account that exists now or you will ever create will have immediate access to any event ship you’ve earned. There will be no need for your alts to play the event mission, no hoops to fly through other than picking up the ship from a store. Hopefully taking this extra step will address any lingering concerns you have with the overall change. Thanks for reading this far, and I look forward to seeing you on Risa soon!

Indeed, in fact this feature just went live on Tribble.
Added a store tab to the Event Reputation Store called "Account Reward Claim".
Here players will be able to claim event reputation project starship rewards earned on any character.
For example, if a player has earned the Risian Corvette on one character, all characters on the account can claim the Risian Corvette for free from this new store.
Also, any character on an account which has earned one of these ships can reclaim the ship for free if it has been discharged.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

You TRIBBLE... you had to pick the ONE time within 7 years that I'm going back to Germany for longer than 2 weeks... <sigh> guess I'm not going to be able to complete THIS project...
Nope, because any unfinished projects will be removed (and any progress in them lost) at the end of the Summer Event. Nor will you be able to slot the project and do extra runs next year to help out their participation numbers...
That aspect of the whole thing mystifies me; don't they want more participation?

So the event ships will be available to delta recruits when the event starts? Well, that is very nice indeed.
What does it cost?
Thank you two for this information
Nothing, so long as you already earned them. You just won't have the option of earning them this year, unless you left a project slotted at the end of the last Summer Event.
When this goes live, I will have year-round account access to 4 T5-U11 ships and 2 T6-11 ships, with another T6-11 ship unlocked by the end of the Summer Event. That is awesome for me... it just sucks for new players or folks that miss an Event. I just don't see how limiting access to prior Event offerings will increase participation if it means less things for players to participate for...

Didn't you know? There are plenty of exploits out there to get around that. Are there still Gorn on Drozana in swimsuits? That exploit was reported multiple times in different threads and was never addressed by the devs. Why not? It didn't effect the important metrics I guess. And dude there are plenty of other fantasy MMOS where you can run around as a barely dressed female char, why not go play one of those?
but it was fixed a few weeks after the bug went live. that doesn't fix the existing costumes, just future ones, so as long as they don't try editing them, they'll have those forever.
it's like how the kobali boff used to have a tail, if you added it you'll keep it on forever until you try editing her again.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.
"Something" tells me, that the Nandi Warship is a Science Warship, and therefore i gues some People here, esspecially the ones who were happy cause they thought it will not be a Science Ship, will be Dissapointed.
The Rest Inlcuding me who wanted a Science Ship, will be Happy, even so i wish it would be a Risian Design, but well, one cant have everything.
I Just hope that it does not look like a Flying Bug like the D'kora but something more Cool.

They've already posted about this. The reason for it is because they don't want people just buying up the new ship and then ignoring the event. This forces continued participation for those wanting the ship, as was the case in the first year.

Science Warship nice joke.
How many the "Rest Inlcuding you" in this thread? Three - four people screaming about science ship...
Heck, i barely see someone using them in Game. Majority loves Cruisers/Escorts and Cryptic know that.
Nandi Warship will be similar to Nicor/ChelGrett Warship (Cmdr. Tactical, Ltcmdr. Pilot, 4-5 tac. consol slot).

Well look at it this way, its additional incentive for earning the ships as they come around (play now or you'll never get this tremendously potent character resource.) Its holding our feet to the fire, but its not surprising in the least to see a business act in a business-like way (at least they're not charging us for this as a c-store account service).
It also does one thing for newbies: prevents them from spending their time grinding for a T5-U cruiser when a T6 warship is available. Ideally you would assume they know the difference and how it applies to them. However when its entirely conventional to assume they're absolute dimwits who can't tie their own shoelaces without looking at the manual (just see any PVE PUG complaint thread) its not exactly fair to conveniently assume that same cohort of new players has the ability to rightly consider all possible consequences of their actions (since that's just selecting the line of reasoning which best suits the feature that we'd like to see, in spite of how it probably leads to a self-contradictory point of view.)
Therefore, leading them to make the "correct" decision (ie. pick the ship which in the game now has the greatest general value, however when we start comparing T6 ships then this question should definitely be re-opened) isn't a bad thing.

Not bad, no. Though definitely more science focused than I was hoping for with the name, especially with that trait. That said, I'll still get it and probably dump my Ferengi toon into it just because.
