Compared to 43 days last year, and 54 days for the first year?
you only need 25 days to get the ship, even less if you can do it every 20hrs, you have 35 days so 10 days you don't need to play although in this day and age with laptops and mobile internet unless your in hospital or something there's no need to even miss 1 day.

so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I quite agree, I like the event also & the winter one but there have been many complaints there are too many events especially the long ones its getting to a stage they cant just play the game (in their opinion).

With the new ship being Ferengi, any chance you can revisit and overhaul the forever broken Ferengi Lobi store space set? The console has always been great, the torps iffy, the mines beyond broken.
+ 10 Characters for allowing recent new accounts and all who didn't participate last year or any year before to slot and build the old ships at 40 vouchers then they could still get the ferengi ship and you would still have your retirement of the old pleasure ships.
i mean you are allowing allready slotted ships to be completed by the end of this event. so why not allow some to get the ship this year? one last go before retirement. your still retiring them on july 16th.

It isn't shorter. 35 days is the base length for these events. Extensions come on top of that.
And...looks like my prediction about the begging for extensions starting on day 1 was wrong. The begging has already started a week before the event.

In Every Company when the Employes Missuse their Authority for Bad, there is always Consequences, here it should not be Different, thats why we are now Researching to find the Right Place for such Complaints.
Yes they are Mods, and they are here to Moderate the Forum and uphold the Rules, but iam sure there are also Rules for them, reagarding how to Treat and how to NOT Treat the Customers, and what i see here is that there went something Wrong, anyway, thats all i have to say about that.
The Nandi so far has potential, but of course all we know about it is it's name. I'm guessing it'll be ZOINKS a tier 6. It's still a shame to any new players & all of the creative efforts that went into making the Risian ships that they're being moth-balled. Just when I was beginning to believe Cryptic was leaning back towards having STO being inclusive for many they rubberband back to becoming more exclusive. The announcement wasn't very customer/player friendly neither. They should've stated this would be the last year for acquiring the Risian ships for now, but still allowed the opportunity. Those type of tactics is why I stopped contributing money into the game & just make-due now while trying to have fun.

Exactly how would it had hurt to make the discontinuing announcement while allowing a "last chance" this year???
Thing is this type of change would've taken time to conceive & develop so they probably knew they were going to do this right after last year's summer event.
The silver-lining is that they are offering compensation for all the past Pearl efforts I guess.
Pathetic customer service in marketing upon that decision.
Certainly sucks for any new(ish) players that began after last year's summer event. I am guessing this is foreshadowing for other events too to follow-suit. Based upon what I had read I was looking forward to the event & earning the Risians. I had my game-plan all mapped out too for my (4) characters. I still like the allowance of after earning one ship your other characters only need minimal to earn it too. <--- That kind gesture is a bit shocking given this contrasting action about the Risian ships. Now, if the Ferengi Nandi looks like I might use it I'll participate otherwise probably wont bother.

Meh, Risa is a fun place but there's only so many times that you can milk the same theme before it starts becoming a bit stale. I won't say that would have happened this year with yet another Risan ship but I do like the new angle, myself (and the fact that it didn't take a large-scale burn out for cryptic to change directions).

Well, with the upgrade announcement leaving NX and Connie fans in the dust again, can we restart / revisit the T5 Connie and NX threads - since they will no longer be "truly" endgame ships... (after we get the T5 versions, it'll be time to see them added to the T5U upgrade charts too...
Were you aware that CBS gave specific instructions that the Constitution could never be released as a top tier ship? I think they said something about not wanting players running around with 50 000 other Connies.
My thinking exactly. I'm pretty sure the Nandi is going to be a T6 D'Kora. Wonder if it'll have all the same amenities, and/or if it'll expand the interior at all. It's a bit... cramped in my Dabo room.

Sadly, that Black Friday event wouldn't work, not with the winter event starting in early December.
Okay.. something I'd like to ask anyone else who was hoping that PWE was going to release a T6 Corvette this year: Why would you even think/hope that? Re-releasing a pre existing ship simply to update it while still making the original available is, quite frankly, silly. It's far simpler just to tweak a BOFF station on the model and have players swap out the old ones while providing a different ship.
The ship wasnt only powerful, but was a status symbol for someone that was there when the event ran.

The event ships are the Toyotas (or, whatever common car brand you'd prefer). They're good ships, but just because last year's model isn't sold anymore this year, doesn't suddenly make your neighbors jealous of you having one. :rolleyes:

This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
These are used to finish any un-finished projects from the event. What I don't see is how you earn these, which either means they're supposed to be the same as the Lohlunat Prize Vouchers (2015) just spelled differently, or I'm gonna have to pay Lobi just finish last year's ship.
I may just be over-thinking it, but seeing how there's incorporated next to one and not the other is suspicious to me.
