Nog commands the veteran ship?!?

SCE ship U.S.S Chimera

Is it possible that it is the first vessel of the Chimera Destroyer? (Like the USS sovereign and USS galaxy were the first of those respective classes)How on earth did NOG of all people manage to get it!?:eek:

So,T6 veteran ship confirmed?:confused:

    Hmm...that is an interesting supposition. I very much would like to see a T6 veteran ship (even though I don't currently use one). Even more so if it includes another set of customization options.

    I doubt we'll hear anything about that though until they're planning on doing another sale on lifetime subscriptions...

    The background for the chimera specifically says that the starfleet corps of engineers built it, and the blog says Nog is in the SCE. So, most likely, he gets to command it because he was on the team that built it, if not the main designer or something.

    Assuming it really is a chimera class of course, but that does seem likely.

    Not going to get my hopes up for a T6 version, but I'd certainly be happy if it happened.

    In my fanfiction he commands the USS Prestido, though this works...

    I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice if this signaled a possible T6 Chimera for LTS Veterans coming in the near future.

    Yeah I hope this means T6 Vet ships too. I don't expect it, but do have some small hope for it happening eventually.

    Well, there was a LTS sale last summer... that's when I got mine. :)

    i wonder if the chimera is going to be pulled out and a brand new version put into its place as a vet ship, i mean we got far too many escorts as it is, one more wont make any difference.

    Why..... are you assuming this? I mean, the announcement of his return literally has a a picture of Nog on it.

    Also, I don't know why everyone is assuming that Nog captaining a Chimera class means it's going to be a T6 ship. I mean, Harry Kim is in the Rhode Island, and that certainly isn't a T6 ship.
    Plus, we already can encounter or spot NPC Chimeras here and there in-game. They've never been T6 and that probably isn't going to change any time soon.

    Also, no, that is frankly an incredibly dumb notion.
    And technically Chimeras aren't full escorts, they are destroyers.

    No, just pure speculation.

    In fact, we don't even know if Nog is commanding a Chimera-class ship... but the name "U.S.S. Chimera" seems to point to that, at least.

    It also works because he might be concealed by a "chimera"...

    Idk who (and first and foremost why someone) comes up with designs like that.

    it's got potential to be a gorgeous ship, just need a nip and tuck here and there.

    Personally the only thing I dislike about the Chimera is that big ugly deflector!

    I really like the Chimera in it's phaser lance mode. The saucer expanding and the necelles shifting position gives it a more menacing appearance that I very much enjoy.

    agreed, lol.. when I saw this ship for the first time, it was a top and side shot.. I was like f... yeah man, that looks sweet.. then they released a pic where we see the very disproportional bear belly it has and I lost 100 percent interest..

    if that secondary hull was half the size it would look awesome.. but alas we got a terd instead. lol..

    as far as nog getting command, it is a little far fetched, and just because he was in sce doesn't mean he "deserves" to command a vessel he built.. I mean with that logic, you could say the guy who painted the vessel deserves a chance to command the vessel..

    I doubt Starfleet gives prototype ships to people who built it, im sure they find well qualified, experienced command crews for it.

    this Is yet another reason why the writing in this game is border line atrocious... its the little things. its almost like the write up they gave us on the temporal ships.. lol..

    Placing a bet on T6 Defiant right there. Doomed to happen at some point: with the Pilot tree that has just been expanded, it makes sense.
    Entitlement for T6 vet ship is strong lol.

    Not necessarily, there were Starships that did have the name of another class of Starship but werent the first of that class, one example being the Intrepid.
