I don't think a T14 runabout is in the books, but I think we do have one lined up in the T-mid-20's?

    sold. . . Now just to wait. . . . tick tok. . . 👅⏳

I am happy with my Intel Sheshar.

Isn't it time for "true" universal stations?

We're pleased to announce that our Elachi Sheshar promotion is now live! Captains can enjoy both 20% off R&D boxes as well as either 10 Lobi or the chance at our Sheshars!

I have a still boxed sheshar also and wonder too if it's retroactive to use command (but I guess it's not). Personnally I wouldn't mind if it was kind of both and you can choose one and change your playstyle at will. Altho we tend to all use the same strategies anyway (crtdx4 ap beams anyone?). But at least that would give me a reason to unpack it, as now it doesn't give me that much of an upgrade.

It would also be interesting to get specialized Boff seating to T5-U older ships for free like the jem dread or the escort carrier but i guess we'll see a special new tier 6 versions that will render the older ones obsolete like it did with the JHAS.

I also find the release speed of those recent ships, (Sheshar 1, JHSS, Sheshar 2 new pilot, T6 iconic ...) interesting. I guess that at this rate we'll get an even better Jem Hadar Battleship (with a fourth not so useful console) or Iconian ships, that will blow away everything we have yet, right after Summer event. And maybe pilot versions of many other ships as well, like i guess the JHSS with pilot special maneuvers (like roll and stuff). Whatever it is, then the rant will begin anew.

They are saving that for the Tholian Tarantula... (...dreaming)
Guaranteed sale for me. BUT! Only if it's a Sci Dreadnought with the Web Cannon and teleport to front ability (Bortasqu has it as one console ability; could be a set bonus). We haven't had a Sci Dreadnought since... Forever. Much less one that would make other ships cry as much as the Tholian Dreads have, and Sci captains need that much love.

No, my old boxed one changed its box icon, now it has a intel symbol on the lower right corner of the box.

    http://s10.postimg.org/84ouyo4np/sheshar_intel_icon.png

I tried opening it on tribble and didnt get a choice, it just opened the intel version on a single step.

The downside of this is that there will be 2 versions of the box on the market, one with intel seating and another with intel and command.

For folks who bought the old one for resale (not my case), I anticipate that they will get some devaluation compared to the new box that offers a choice.

I find myself agreeing with VirusDancer here (which I admittedly tend to do a lot). No one lost anything. Their ship did not get nerfed in any way. What they bought and paid for, they received. Just because an upgraded version of their ship came out for sale doesn't mean they are entitled to that same upgrade. If I go in and buy an ipad (or whatever) and they then release a version that has a slightly better camera only, do I get the new one? Absolutely not - I bought the product as it was advertised.

The concern that I do agree with is the general trend of repackaging the T5 ships as T6 versions. We really were led to believe that the T5U was the path of upgrade for these ships and nothing beyond it would be available. The T6 Intrepid and Galaxy showed that this was not true, and all our old ships truly would become obsolete requiring new purchases to stay current. But at least these had new art assets through the costumes (Pathfinder and Andromeda) which showed there was actually a new ship being offered.

But to take a promotion/lockbox ship and straight up take the same art assets, ship name, and everything else and just copy-past into T6 status? That concerns me to the point that maybe this game won't have the long-term Dev support I was hoping for. Taco even made a statement about how each of Cryptic's games gets the Dev support equal to its revenue. I hope this is a one-off and we can't expect the exact same ships released as T6 due to limited Dev support. Honestly, I hope it is just a lazy cash grab and not something more dire.

But, this idea would require some forethought... the decision they went with instead, however, reflects poor planning and a bit of desperation. TRIBBLE T7 ships... THIS is likely their plan for the foreseeable period. Releasing the same ships, over and over, with razor-thin differentiation.
If the Sheshar was Pilot-capable as in the Pilot Officer ad; it would have at least sold more, despite capitalizing on the Pilot-spec class.

However, I do agree that someone or a group of someones lacked the foresight, Intel (hah), and planning to really do justice both to the Promo ship and to the player base. It would have been understandable if they delayed a promo ship due to needing more time to get things figured out; they did so for the planned FE though, so why they didn't with this is unknown. And bigger still, is why did they not reuse the JHSS if they're just aiming for a Promo ship with Command seating? At least that would have sparked far less outrage than the Sheshar, and they could continue to ignore the playerbase's request for a ship capable of using any Specialization (Sheshar rightfully gets to be asked for UniSpec on the grounds that it was shown using Pilot abilities, and now with them seating Command abilities on it, and is a Promo ship; which as said would have been the smartest and richest business decision in awhile).

I guess all the competence went to the ones who chose to delay the FE this time rather than release it bugged as-is. Probably that's all Cryptic has the capacity for at this tme; which is a shame, since Cryptic has proven they could do a full quality release if they only tried.

Everything's a sure reward if you open enough boxes.

I bought 12. The Sheshar was in box #2.

Agreed. Maybe there is even a science specialization around the corner. Would be rather awesome indeed.

Sheshar exchange price in 1st day of promotion tell me everything about this ship (I was lucky, and sell my Intel Sheshar for 500mil before news of promotion)...

Changing Intel to Command doesn't save this ship, actually its only make it worse + completely useless starship trait... meh.

C-Store Command Cruisers (read Presidio) so popular because op "All hands on deck", and what can offer Sheshar?

You think this will stop with the uber prize ships?

The surprise here is that ANYONE thought they wouldn;t do something like this sooner or later.

Hell, a large percentage of the posters dismissing concerns over the Risian Ship Retirement, either predicted or demanded "Bring the old ship back as a new ship with a spec boff seat as lockbox/lobi".

So, rejoice, they did what people asked for, just to a different ship... Re-speced the Shoeshine...

The ship is ugly as hell, in fact, a large majority of T6 ships are ugly. Plus, all current content of this MMO can be completed with a T5-U ship. People need to find other things to complain about.

    Next topic please...

Quick question, if I do wind up getting the ship, is it account wide or just on the character that opens it?

Compared to the hundrets of dollars people keep spending, then leaving and blaming cyptic for their decision to spent money in the first place.

And compared to the time between this and the last event, where the ship was only available at the very beginning (on the exchange), and after the event, a ship (or so...) per month, on the exchange, for about 500 mil (or sometimes for 600 mil only on the trading channel), which is 100-200 mil more than right now.

Then yes, (+if you're prepared for such events), it's dirt cheap.

I found the trait situationally useful, like some of the other Starship Mastery Traits.

It's pretty useful on Plasma bomber builds; moreso on Command-capable ships using Concentrate Firepower. You can literally stack HY3 + HY1 + HY1 + HY1 on a near-endless loop if using CF2 or CF3. Even more lethal with the Lobi Plasma Torpedo (on Plasma builds) and an accompanying Plasma Emission or some other torp.

The only real problem I see is that it requires the Romulan or Reman 3-pc set to make those torps faster, or a build with GW1 capability.

I do hope they eventually release a TS1 version of the Sheshar's Mastery Trait; it'd be perfect for all my other torpedo boat builds.

I've bought 4 R&D packs (thus 16 containers) and nothing, just lobi crystals.
How much money will one have to spend in order to acquire the dreadnought?
    That's the problem.
Maybe I'll get it if I buy just one more R&D pack, maybe I'll have to buy dozens more.
Well, I give up. Spending on a ship pack seems to be more reasonable, at least the ships will be mine for sure.
This hide and seek game of R&D packs may be too expensive.

Almost $300, till you get what you want.
