The game devs can't fix the lag... its the network engineers who have to deal with that. So the game devs can keep making things for the game and have no direct access to the code or systems that might fix the lag. That's PWE's problem at this point.
As to why it hasn't been resolved, who knows. Maybe they are underestimating how many instances they need.
I just got an update I added something to the Q/A section
Q: Are there any restrictions to using Pilot Maneuvers?
A: Yes. These Tactical Maneuvers are disabled while your engines are offline, you are cloaked, or you are under the effects of skills such as Eject Warp Plasma, Gravity Well, and Tractor Beam
Curious...so not the potential escape maneuver they would have appeared to be...hrmm.

What about Reversed-Tractor Beam Repulsors?
Also that's great to hear.
The Romulans definitely look like Reman designs this time around, with the Jaeih looking like they partially disassembled then rebuilt the captured Elachi S'Golth. I don't mind that at all.
And the ships' capabilities is just screaming for EWP spamming (or it's Pilot equivalent), with the Sci one asking to GW then dive in with EWP/Metreon Canister/Theta Radiation/Eject Cryoplasma active.
Also, Kinetic projectiles? Damn; I wish the Ferengi Missile Launcher was buffed, and the Tal Shiar Shrapnel Missile console available to use on these ships. I want my Macross Missile Massacre.

Well, no. One of the issues causing lag is that some powers are extremely expensive for the servers. They're working on how to fix the problem, but since it's probably a design problem rather than a straight up bug, it's not a simple fix.
They could fix it by sticking everyone in T1 ships until a real fix is found, but that'd probably just make the Miranda nuts happy.
I'm not a fan of every ship, especially the romulan ones, but wow there's a lot a variety in the look of these things. Thank you to the art team for all those customization options!
Phil, the powers look fun, thanks to you too. I'll be naming my very first mercury the U.S.S Synapse in your honor ^.^ (and because its fitting for a speedy thing like that)

Just upgrade the ferengi missiles, at least they can get close to in line. And double on the shrapnel missles. However as a quick sub, try using the ferengi missiles, the missile console from this set and the torpedeo defense turret.
Think that with torp spread will be enough missile for you, at least on the fed side. The KDF ships look like fighters. And I'm waiting for someone to find the right combination on the Fed side to make the ship from Gradius.
If the lag isn't fixed the ships are useless. No point in sinking more money in a game that's unplayable. Adding additional abilities and more ships is not helping the lag, it's just adding more variables to sift through as Cryptic tries to fix it or at its worst adding to it.
Pretty much. The main thing I'd want to do with a new ship is take it into an ISA to parse and get a sense for how it handles. I haven't been able to run even a halfway smooth ISA for months now. If I'm only running GGA every few days to work on Iconian rep, what exactly do I need a new ship for?
Not to be a prick or anything but I did happen to notice that starfleet seems to be the one making and providing us with the information even on our KDF and Romulan Republic ships too lol. So I take it also though we will have to go to ESD on our KDF characters to get the ship

Don't forget the oberth and Connie fan clubs. And I love my t'liss. ^.^
What about customization ? Do we have to buy the whole set to get customization parts ?
I think that's obvious.
Just like it has been even prior to Delta Rising (skins tied to C-Store ships, and 3-pack ships needing ownership of all 3 to fully customize; in the case of the Scimitar, DSDs, Vesta, and Andorian Escorts).
I've been saving my Dil, and I'm just 50k way from having enough to get me an Icarus
Don't fly too close to the sun.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Actually, you're wrong on one point:
Game devs CAN fix the lag, in terms of graphical effects. In terms of coding of said effects. Both of which have HIGH impact on players overall lag experience. The more they continue making super-intensive effects (pilot ship maneuvers, and pilot ship consoles will only increase this problem), the lag will continue.
It CAN'T be fixed, if they continue coding the game incorrectly, and using too demanding effects.
just use aux to dampeners 1 with the buff enhancement doff.
will give you freedom2move 2/3rd of the time as well as some nice decent "resist all" for same time.
btw this also helps against most of the disables the heralds use.

personally i like the federation ones. i like the edgy design like oversized smallships. its like the old federation raider used by the maquis now.
i think for me it will be the eng variant, maybe mixed with the nose of the sci variant.
i must say im deeply relived for the fact that the mercury isnt the only version. i kind of dont like it visually and im deeply happy with the engineering variant. though i had preferred the scivariants seating over the engineering ones. so i may buy the 3pack mabye.
I've been sitting on a huge pile of Dilithium for a while, now. I went ahead and got the 12k Zen to get these. I agree with others here that the Klingon models look fantastic, as do the Feds. I'm warming up to the Romulan (my favorite faction). The best thing about getting the bundles is then you have so many options to customize the ship, so I expect to be playing with that for a while.
I've been fortunate in that I have not experienced the consistent and excessive lag others have reported, so I'm pretty confident that these ships are going to be a blast to fly.
I have the Intel ships and the Command ships, so that's gonna be it for a while, Cryptic. Really. Maybe...
Klingon Raptors have always been among the most maneuverable and powerful ships in the quadrant...
Klingon raptors were always on the slower side (most manoeuvrable ships in the quadrant would be the raiders, aka Birds of Prey) and clearly less powerful than KDF battlecruisers.
But that's just game text...
Now onto bigger problems:
Starship Ability Package (Escort/Raptor)
Precise Weapon Systems (+Accuracy)
Tactical Maneuvering (+Defense)
Enhanced Weapon Systems (+Weapon Damage)
Devastating Weaponry (+Critical Chance)
This thing is wrong. The above masteries are used on escorts. KDF raptors use the raptor/destroyer mastery package. That is, instead of +defense, they get +15% CritD. With one exception: the Mat'Ha has the escort package instead of the raptor/destroyer one: reported here.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
I do wonder if we'll get double Iconic bundles or just one in about a month or two from now.
While the Cruiser X-Faction bundle was straightforward due to the fact that they share near-identical layouts, the Defiant and BoP do not, whereas the Defiant and Raptor do, with the T'Varo coming close, while the BoP and Aquarius share near-identical loadouts.
So if following that; we should see two:
- Defiant/Raptor/T'Varo - Similar setups.
- Aquarius/BoP/New Rom "BoP" - Similar setups.
Otherwise, we could expect 3 ships not exactly balanced to each other and completely their own thing, but sold together akin to the DR Pack:
- Defiant/BoP/T'Varo
Personally, I prefer the former; two packs of Iconics, for more variety.
The KDF ships are incredibly pretty, the fed ones are nice to. The Rom ones ? They are terribly ugly, and looks like Xindi insectoid ship, not Romulan, except for the green hull.
Stats are nice, and I would definitely be interested if cannons were not subpar compared to beams. Also, it's way overpriced (120$ for a pack of rather similar ship ? Yeah....).
I'll stay on the fence, the only redeemer would be the pilot skill that allow for a ship to slide around a target, and keep it in the narrow cannon fire angle while moving. If we can use that all the time without much issue, perhaps when the ships are on discount.
That's really too bad, because ~2 years ago, I would have bought this pack. But cash grabs, grind, DR, T5 obsolescence and beams powercreep happened since then.
Nice looking and I'm pleasantly surprised that the traits don't look OP. Still not a fan of 9-packs and think its kinda lame that two of the consoles are basically the Risan set, but still, net positive first impression.
The ships all look great, and the "Stay On Target" trait is hilarious.
I'm loving the cross-faction bundle as a model for new ships, going forward. Hopefully that remains the standard, so that there's some equality in new ship releases across the three factions in the future.

I think you're mixing 3 Mastery packages into 2:
Destroyer
Precise Weapon Systems
Enhanced Weapon Banks
Devastating Weaponry
Enhanced Weapon Systems
Escort/Raptor
Precise Weapon Systems
Tactical Maneuvering
Enhanced Weapon Systems
Devastating Weaponry
Raider

seriously.... came all over after that.
Curious...so not the potential escape maneuver they would have appeared to be...hrmm.
Was thinking about the spin...and...how even if folks turn off Camera Shake, the devs are intent on making folks Shake Da Booty...puke or not.
T6 versions of the Andorian Escorts, as "Pilot" ships?
.... nah. Would never work.
What about Reversed-Tractor Beam Repulsors?

There will be a fleet version of those ships ?
I'd be shocked if these were not released tomorrow after the patch.

Absolutely this. T6 Defiant and a T6 Bird of Prey. That's all I want right now. And a T6 T'Varo if it's not too much to ask.

They already have 11 consoles.
No fleet version for you!
Wonder when and if we'll see the Tier 6 Defiant Variant, it will still have the 4/3 layout?

The positive note on this is the KDF having multiple 5 tact console ships not to mention this has the 5/2 layout plus that lol.
