Great, looking forward to the new gear and powers. Although not so sure about going full Tron there. I love Tron, just not necessarily in my Star Trek. Wonder how tough the queues are going to be to get those datacores.

Somewhat related: can we get that armor in Champions Online? :P

The Iconian Resistance is an alliance comprised of forces throughout the Alpha, Beta, and Delta Quadrants.

I wonder who the Delta races will be. Probably some of the Vaadwaur alliance species, hopefully with the Voth and the Undine as a new addition :)

so... we should be using antiproton...

Can we get an Iconian Grind dance emote? Hopefully the queues will be popping or this is going to be painful.

i wish there were more short stories obtained by reaching each tier, like in new romulus rep which eventually led into sphere of influence, or in dyson rep which ended up with giving us an unique boff.

it sounds like it'll be another reputation without any actual storyline importance, like counter command or delta reputations were.

while i don't think a renegade iconian boff would ever happen, something leading into one of the events would be cool.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

Hmmmn, more CritD... more stupid DPS racing.

On the other hand, they should give the Iconians and their servitors Antiproton defense bonuses... that would be sweet. For that matter, they should give across-the-board Antiproton defense bonuses to all NPCs in STFs to balance that out... deviously funny

All I read there was more of the same (Damage, resistance, heals) except one thing, which is still damage in the end.

    Particle Generator Amplifier (Passive)
    +Bonus damage Exotic Damage

Frankly, I think the devs are suffering from brain drain, because they can't figure out how to create science boosting rep powers (non heals or damage ones). Oh and this one:

    Energy Refrequencer (Passive)
Receive a portion of your outgoing damage as hull healing to you.

    combined with

Advanced Radiant Antiproton Directed Energy Weapons Mk XII - Advanced Radiant Antiproton Beam Arrays have a high innate Critical Severity, as well as a chance to provide a small amount of Temporary Hit Points. Additionally, they continually reduce their recharge rates the more they are fired.

I just had to laugh at these. The power creep is strong with these. Hull heals and DPS combined in the most glorious way possible.

There's some interesting stuff there, nice.
    :)

But... Combat Engines (efficient at lower power) combined with a Hyper Core (increased power to engines)?

Some of those skills/traits are among the most horrible design decisions I've ever seen.

Not that it matters, but hey. I will keep fighting for sanity in design as long as this game is up and running. Or until I get tired and move on.

Iconian Resistance Resilient Shield Array Mk XII

Iconian Resistance Resilient Shield Arrays offer a high shield capacity coupled with the ability to reduce and absorb incoming energy damage. These shields continually run an internal sensor sweep, periodically removing debuffs.

and i do love this thing whit no 20% to some type of dmg res

If anyone questioned Cryptics push to the Antiproton Master Race, this should put it to bed.

All hail the glorious Antiproton Master Race.

I don't know if I should craft up some CrtDx3 or CrtDx2 Pen AP Arrays or just quit the f**king game.

Either way tears will be involved.

Lol, a big "TRIBBLE you all" to science PvP players. I just felt like they gave me the middle finger.

So the thinking is, Iconians use subnuc (intel), so lets give players a way to counter it while making science in PvP useless?

Take that damn after effect off PvP!

The more I read that thing, the more I'm convinced they gave up on keeping DPS in check and just decided to give heals and DPS to all.

The Sustained Radiant Field console was designed to give a substantial tactical advantage to ships it is equipped on. It enhances damage output of all ship weapons, while enhancing the effect of Hull and Shield restoring powers.

So will there be a way to get datacores without playing Advanced, as the other reps now do with their special items?

(Also, will there be activities besides queues that reward Iconian Marks?)

I'm sorry.. but.. reading all that.. just leaves me disappointed.. and a bit disheartened.

A reputation.. gated exclusively behind advanced/elite queues(I suspect even the ordnance set will require elite marks, like the Delta rep).. that's heavily catered towards power-creeping the current meta(Critical Severity, Exotic damage, Bonus Damage, and Movement Stacking) even further to absurd levels that are already unnecessarily out of wack.

(As a side note, I'm disappointed we still haven't gotten a single reputation healing kit module for Science Captains yet - that's a core feature of ground combat for them.)

The one silver lining from this.. is the torpedo. When combined with the Neutronic, it might very well make Quantum Torpedo-boats worth building again.

Well... on the bright side... I might be able to make a decent Roll.EXE look for my Engie depending on the customizaton options. Still gonna be a while for her though. My main is probably gonna get it first.

I really don't think effects on PvP are even an afterthought. They frankly don't even take it into consideration.

And just by looking at those aesthetics of the armour one needs to REALLY, and I mean REALLY imagine oneself in Star Trek. With each update I start to wonder if any of the designers/ developers have EVER watched Star Trek. Its like they trying to redesign the game to appeal to an PWE Asian market like the rest of the [expletive] PWE churns out.

    Please be careful balancing this...

Thank you for making Quantums a rep weapon option again. Now release a T6 KDF carrier w/ bop pets so I can do my torp boat setup again. ~.~

Yeah sounds like bops are gonna be further behind in this dps race as well as any science setups of any faction lol. I was almost getting back into this with the delta recruit thing but I guess I better go back to my little hole and wait for what season 11 or whatever comes out next see if it gets any better.

Edit: As far as DPS racing its what makes reps and lockboxes sell I get that but it is rather frustrating when certain parts of the game like raiders and science are left in the background to collect dust which this is happening in season 10 based on this information. They could have atleast thrown in some warp cores that perform performance for the science ships and cloak ambush duration to match that of reman infiltrators lol. Just my suggestion but like taco said that one time by time you get to talking about a suggestion its already too late lol.
