Three TAC Consoles just don't cut the mustard.

A: Yes! Each of these ships gain +1 Engineering console slot and +10% Maximum hull hit points and +10% Maximum shield capacity. They will be made available upon release of these three new ships. They are unlocked upon reaching tier 4 in your starbases shipyard.
Geez, 3 is just fine for most cruisers... Unless you're aiming for a High-DPS build, in which case a Galaxy/Negh'var/D'Deridex is not for you anyway.
Just be happy they didn't upgrade the Ens eng to Lt. Eng instead.:P

That and thei turned the Lt. Com Eng into a command seat, so no more superfluous boff powers like on the T5 variants. Great job cryptic.
Too bad they've done goofed on the negh, lowest hull + most crew of the batch.

Seriously though anything without 5 Tactical consoles is Mediocre at best in what we know as DPS online let alone only 3 Tactical consoles.
Sad really, the Tier 6 remakes haven't even been released yet and they're already useless.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. The overwhelming negativity on this board is depressing. I feel sorry for the devs.

Wow, just... wow, I guess all those people getting 35k+ DPS with Pathfinders are cheating, eh?
Not everything is a DPS race, besides about ~75% of all content/missions in STO can be done with a T5 running Purple MK XII, so the only places you really need the firepower that 5 tac consoles provide is in Adv. Borg STF missions where the NPC's are damage sponges, everywhere else 3 is sufficient. (unless you PvP, that's a whole different story)
You forgot no console set bonus for it either. Big time TRIBBLE-up with that one.
5 is too much for a cruiser, 4 would be nice. Not all ships need the 4 tac console you can leave the galaxy with 3, or even 2 for all I care .
Enjoy your non 50,000 DPS ships, watching the DPS league tear things apart before you have a chance to get into weapons range must be fun. I'll just have to wait for the Tier 6 Galaxy Dreadnought remake.
Actually it makes sense as how can they make a console set for the Negh'Var when there isn't C-Store versions like the Galaxy and D'Deridex?

However I am not like you, I don't have integrity, I need to feel like I am doing something and being useful, and watching other players melt everything in their forward arc while It takes me five minutes to destroy a single Borg cube is not my Idea of fun.
Still, it's not fair that the other two get all those bonuses while the KDF one gets TRIBBLE hull and crew penalty.
The Negh'Var is easily the least compelling of the 3, even though I really do like the new Negh'Tev costume. My KDF officer will likely be staying in his Ty'Gokor.
And I'll keep hoping for a T6 Bortasqu'.
I wont be buying the galaxy pack because three tac consoles with no fourth from going fleet means the ship is inferior to other ships I've recently bought. Trade a tac console, commander command seat, and a hanger bay for weapon cruiser command? At best you could say its a wash, in truth the presidio is still a better ship. There are other ships we already have that are superior as well. So the only reason I can see to buy this bathtub in space (still has that abysmal turn rate) is for the looks. There is no new interior to make the purchase more palatable either.
But I'm not crying. I just wont spend my money on it at this time. Perhaps later they'll add this ship to a new galaxy bundle with a better gal-x and a new interior and I'll reassess. But if they had a fourth tac console with or without paying for the fleet version they'd have gotten me to buy all 3 ships. Just sayin'
It is what it is. Yes its unfair that Romulans and Feds get a set bonus, but the fact that there are no C-Store variants of the Negh'Var pretty much means it can't have a set bonus as there is nothing to make a set out of. Now if they went back and made a Venture equivelent, along with a Negh'Var retrofit... THEN they can give her a set bonus.
But as it stands... there is no drive to make a brand new T4 and a T5 variant just to make a set for the T6.
why?
it was never built to be a warship, what is this obsession in giving every ships 5 or 6 tact consoles.

fair enough, but wasn't directed solely at you. It does seem many people obsess over tact consoles and whine if it doesn't have 5 or 6
