Vote with your wallet. With that said, why do people expect cruisers to be dps monsters? Escorts sacrifice survivabilty to put out that monster damage. People want both from a cruiser? Yeah, that is bs.
it was never built to be a warship, what is this obsession in giving every ships 5 or 6 tact consoles.
honestly if u cant hack it with 3 then you are doing something wrong.
The fact that the last 2 cruisers I got have four tac consoles and one of them has a hangar bay and superior boff seating too means that this is a poor value.
I could succeed at most pve things in the game with much less. That doesn't mean I'd pay 30 dollars for the privilege.
The "obsession" is that the game is very clearly telling us that dps is more important than extra tanking ability or more heals. For challenging content, you want the most dps. Nobody was asking for more engineering consoles at the expense of tac consoles.
So even if we could "hack it", why would I?
They lost an opportunity with this latest ship.
I used to be Shakkar with thousands of posts. My very identity was stolen from me so now I am originalshakkar, the original.
It is what it is. Yes its unfair that Romulans and Feds get a set bonus, but the fact that there are no C-Store variants of the Negh'Var pretty much means it can't have a set bonus as there is nothing to make a set out of. Now if they went back and made a Venture equivelent, along with a Negh'Var retrofit... THEN they can give her a set bonus.
But as it stands... there is no drive to make a brand new T4 and a T5 variant just to make a set for the T6.
Being that it won't have set bonuses they should have made it a bit more appealing to buy.
Out of those 3 ships only the NeghVar is described as a battlecruiser .
But it gets only 3 tac consoles, 2500 crew hendikep in exchange for 9 base turn rate and the lowest hull.
Enjoy your non 50,000 DPS ships, watching the DPS league tear things apart before you have a chance to get into weapons range must be fun. I'll just have to wait for the Tier 6 Galaxy Dreadnought remake.
See me in game after 'Delta Recruitement' is over and I'll show you how I cut the mustard with this 3 tac consoles + Lt.Cmdr Tac + Lt. Uni Galaxy class. And the ketchup. And the mayonaisse. And a slice of rye bread.
Seriously, I can't understand some of you guys. This ship is rock solid. Everyone complaining about this doesn't really want a good and balanced ship but wants some OP TRIBBLE like the Scimitar.

They feel Cryptic trolled Galaxy fans w/Scimitar, but Cryptic just doesn't care about "balance" in factions and/or classes. T6 Hero ships have to be the clear sign that Cryptic just wants easy money from ST sheeple.
Now I remember why I stopped viewing these forums until just recently when I picked up the game again.
A lot of you guys are really, how to put it... acting like spoilt children?
"But mummy! I wanted this many tactical consoles not that one, change it now before I rage on the forums! WAAAAAAAAAAAAA".
Cryptic did an alright job here, we've got a Galaxy that isn't a total joke and a brand new model... yet you still have to complain? I personally love the new ships, they're not uber pew pew machines of death nor should they. If I wanted an all out combat ship I'd jump in something else, I'm going to reroll a Delta recruit tomorrow, enjoy myself playing the remastered missions again and then jump in this baby; stick phasers and photon torpedoes on it and have FUN instead of worrying about how much DPS I'm kicking out. I play this game more casually now, simply because I got bored of the DPS races and because my lifestyle no longer grants me the time to play games seriously.
Suck it up, grow up and enjoy what they've given you. If you don't like it, then for the love of God just keep quiet and let everyone else discuss it without making these forums so depressing.
Cryptic, not an ace in the hole... but a damned fine effort.
THANK YOU.

I'm actually considering the new Negh'Var for my KDF. I had the Mirror variant, and... tossed it for space. Starting to think I should have tossed my old Mirror Qin instead since they released the new skin for the Negh'Var.
Anyways... Good Captains will be able to take this ship and make her dance. And since I had the mirror Negh'Var, Mirror Skin for it. ^^
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Funny, I thought blatantly OP-ed TRIBBLE like the Scimitar and the bugship was the clear sign Cryptic wants the easy money from people.
T6 hero ships is just a sign that Crpytic realized what their customers desire, as T6 variants of iconic ships were the first thing asked for ever since T6 was announced for the first time.

All I see is "MOAR DEEPZ" "Where is the pew pew?" "WAH WAH WAH" same old whining...already been proven people can do great DPS in weaker ships...only reason I can see people complaining is because they need every extra bit to compensate.
Compensate for what...either lack of skill or the need to show off their e-peen. Are people really that insecure with themselves? I guess so...
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
With me, its a Love/Hate thing I guess. I am so happy to see a T6 Galaxy that I could scream but, I do agree the console layout, especially when everything in the game is Pew Pew should have been at least 4/4/3 or 4/3/4.
Damn Cryptic you had a chance to make History with this sihip bundle but for some reason you always, I mean ALWAYS end up shooting yourself in the foot. Worst part, Giving the Galaxy T6 a 4 Tac console would not even have made the ship in anyway OP. The only thing it would have done was made alot (I mean alot) of people happy and put a Good chunk of Cash in your pockets. Sometimes its just more than I can comprehend.

You know, you could rise above the nonsense and not categorize those you disagree with as crying with "WAH WAH WAH" for emphasis. When I see this I discount the person's credibility by 50%. Everyone who does this could easily have their own posts responded to as crying as well. You just make the world a tiny bit worse when you do it. Don't be that guy.
That said, there is a difference between a ship being viable and being worth $30. Sure I could do everything I do now with the T6 Galaxy, but I'd be $30 poorer with no better ship for my purchase. If all the other cruisers had three tac consoles and they didn't just sell me one with four in the last month this ship would be fine.
So thanks in advance for reading my reasonable post and not categorizing it as crying.

I could care less about the console slots. I was more interested in the uni console which is a waste now too cause it is ship locked. Not gonna be buyig this one simply cause I cant stand the new strat cryptic is doing with c store ship consoles.
The DDeridex-Variant doesnt gain anything compared to the T5U. The Neghvar, well, not really the battlecruiser it should be.
And the galaxy? Finally it gets a lt.cmd. Tac, but still only 3 Tac consoles, meaning it is stil less powerful than the excelsior, Odyssey, Avenger, Assault, or to sum it up, less powerful than 3/4 of fed cruisers. They dont really learn, do they? Making an iconic ship and making it one of the most powerful, thats how you get money and costumer satisfaction, as it is, only those who really want a galaxy will buy it.

I know as well have to make it do more dmg, but can you say that for everyone?
I'm just saying the devs should not be surprised when metrics say that not alot of people dig the new NeghVar.
Lol, they gave you a both a damn lt. cmdr tac and sci station and pretty nice everything else. Just slot the all hands on deck trait and reciprocity traits and you're all set. Or go with the usual stupid aux2bat doffed if you must. You can spam that spacebar left and right and pew pew everything without that precious 4th tac console you desire.
So your saying that to make these ships work one must buy 7000 zen in other ships.
Crystalline Energy Torpedo (Anti-Proton)
Ancient Omni-Directional Anti-Proton Beam
Omni-Direcitonal Anti-Proton Beam
Kentic Cutter Beam
Bio-nueral Torpedo
2 Anti-Proton Beam Arrays (Fleet)
Dual Anti-Proton Beam Bank (Fleet)
Multiple Fleet Tactical Consoles that modify Anti-Proton energy damage and any other console that effects Anti-proton damage.
You'll have a butt kicking Anti-Proton starship that is equipped with three 360 degree beam weapons and the Crystalline Energy Torpedo and Bio-neural torpedo gets modifiers from the Adapted MACO set and the Obelisk Warp Core. The Bio-Neural Torpedo's anti-proton energy weapon receives modifiers from your anti-proton consoles and the Obelisk Warp Core. I also use Rule 62 for the bonus torpedo damage.

70k+ T6 Pathfinder and T5F-U Nova from Ryan
I know, ermergerd, such low DPS.

Well I stand corrected
Not that I mind,
But this still doesn't disprove one of my points that DPS is more or less everything in STO.
To be honest I will still probably be buying the Tier 6 Galaxy and possibly the D'Deridex aswell

And it might be a shortcut but again, I have school work to do, can't blame me for taking the quick route.

Hey! What what I said!
3 Tac consoles are fine, if the unis go somewhere else.

I was expecting a pilot station. The command station actually makes these more firepower-heavy than I thought.
I know as well have to make it do more dmg, but can you say that for everyone?
I'm just saying the devs should not be surprised when metrics say that not alot of people dig the new NeghVar.
Loving it.
Especially T6 ships with those useless command seats.
Bring on more intel commander/tac ships with 5 tac consoles.
I'm NOT buying two ships to get full functionality in ONE.
Dunno bout that I've poped several scims in my sheshar. Was like I was shooting at paper lol.
I honestly would be shocked if they ever put a piloting seat on a cruiser. I expect them to be on escorts.
So your saying that to make these ships work one must buy 7000 zen in other ships.
What if you don't like the look of the Scimitar.
