    (they cannot be the only ones aboard who have kids...even though i would hope that the federation has learned by now that having kids on front-line ships is a royally IDIOTIC idea

    can you imagine if the yamato or odyssey would've had kids on them at the time of their destruction? or, heaven forbid, any of the 39 ships at wolf 359)

    (I can see them allowing more families on Galaxy class ships in peace time. But if I remember correctly there weren't any on the Enterprise-E, and right now the only children on the Lexington are TRIBBLE and Ezri.)
