Well if they did start making it they would just tease us the way they do for the ENT maco costume
But note: You can copy how Janek dresses if you have a female Romulan, and If you replay "Empress Sela" and "Shadow Play" then you will se male Romulan commanders wearing a differant version of the Tal Shiar uniforms. But that doesent change what I want

Don't see why they can't just unlock this asset as standard for Romulans, it's already all there. I've been hoping for the Romulan uniform featured in Nemesis (reused in ENT) since LoR's release. Perhaps they just don't want us using Imperial uniforms while the "civil war" is going on? The Tal'Shiar uniform we get is used in a spy mission after all.

I want those TNG movie uniforms too, they're some of the best Romulan outfits. I would agree with that explanation for not getting them, but we already have access to the 21st and 24th century Imperial Romulan uniforms. It wouldn't really make since to exclude others.

I concur; though I wonder when the Civil War will actually be over.
I think the Tal'Shiar Uniform would be quite profitable, certainly more than the Klingon Academy or the Open Jackets.
To us, yes I would agree but, to Cryptic not really, as once a outfit is bought via C-store, than it need not be purchased again normally and, this doesn't spell big profit to them.
Now lobi outfits, that would be a different story and, can be quite profitable, provided enough people have interest in spending their lobi on them, even if they turn around and sell them on the exchange. [Provided they have the option to do so, like so many other lobi goodies]

Now THAT would be nice. I wonder if the "Sela set" has anything to do with this?
Lobi uniforms would be a great solution. They are really nice uniforms overall...much better than the Republic 'Bellhop' uniforms. Opening them up for not just republic players, but all players would be very welcome.
Pretty interesting stats, I suppose. Extra secondary damage might be pretty good.
I'm more interested in why they didn't give us the rest of the Tal Shiar uniform set as a reward for this mission. We got the entire range of Kobali outfits for the last one, so I was hoping that a Romulan centered episode would include some kind of Romulan outfit. At least give the Romulan players the rest of it, Sela could give us some spare uniforms for our trouble.

Perhaps the tree has not been shaken enough, or perhaps it is the the wing? Either way, this issue should still be pressed.

Bellhop? Oh really? While I would like certain parts of the tal Shiar uniform, like the sash, the Republic uniforms are some of the most practical uniforms in sto. The most military looking, at any rate. Better than starfleet pajamas, better than the Klingon bortascrew uniform, and unlike the tal Shiar shiny shirt, won't turn you into a living mirror ball.

At least the Republic uniforms look military. And like something you can wear without momma worrying about your clothes getting dirty.
That's the weakness of Imperial Romulan uniforms, in my opinion. Sure, they might look pretty, but like the dress clothes your mom got you, they don't look comfortable. The uniform from Nemesis is actually the only one that does..
Guys lets not turn this into a flame war. The of the matter is that while the Republic uniforms look more utilitarian they aren't something that gives off the air of authority that players want in an end game character. O the other hand a full Tal Shiar uniform gives off that air (more or less) and looks like an end game piece of sci-fi equipment.

The Tal Shiar uniform also shares quite a few design similarities with Romulan uniforms from the actual shows, which is more than can be said for the Republic ones, which were pretty blatantly developed off of the popularity of the Winter Jackets. I'll take actual 'Romulan' Uniforms anyday, personally.
'Practicality' doesn't count for much when phasers etc can just magnetically adhere to one's waistband, ammo is meaningless, everyone has a personal shield generator, and everything a doctor can need to treat field injuries can be carried in a small satchel slung from the shoulder.

None of what you said refutes my point. Practicality is always important, especially in a military uniform. A comfortable, durable, hard wearing uniform is more important than a cutting edge weapon. Sure, your shiny scales shirt may look cool, but what use is it if I can see you coming a mile off?
"Ammo" is surely not meaningless, unless you think that phasers and such have infinite power. We've seen replacement power packs being used in the shows. A personal shield does not protect you from heat, cold, wind, and rain. And yes, medical supplies do fit in bags, if you are talking about the stuff to treat minor illness, scrapes, cuts, bruises, and burns. Which has nothing to do with a uniform anyway.
could be worse... could be puffy shoulder pad from hell pajammas the TNG romulans had :P
seriously tho, just unlock the damned assets already so this thread can die
I'm in agreement. The Tal Shiar uniform may look silly in some respects, but its much better than the TNG Michelin man suit. Just unlock the damned set and be done.
I would still wear the hell out of these uniforms.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Lol, no need to see them coming, that's what tricorders are for, just scan them coming from large distances away!
And, I highly approve for us being allowed to use the full Tal Shiar uniforms, because as it stands right now, we cannot even use all of the pieces we should be able to right now.
Heck, Sela can use the chest pc. & belt of the Tal Shiar, yet our own FM boffs, can only use the belt, while the Males get the chest pc. only!
Kind of dumb to have it being able to be worn by npc FM's but, not PC FM's!
