Well sorry for those who worked so *hard* on these but especially the Klingon one it has the ship parts of every ship part I *never* use on my vo'quv lol and yeah not a smart move making it another bortasqu' roflmao.
Anyways it doesn't matter what I think anyways so have fun with that cryptic. Awaiting my infractions for not liking it
Also, why the hell does everything on the zen store have to be a cruiser or a sci ship? For Feds, other than the T6 Phantom or the Defiant Retrofit, there really aren't a whole lot of escorts. There's tons of cruisers and sci ships, how about showing escort pilots a little love for a change?
For me, there's really no incentive whatsoever to buy anything from the zen store. NONE at all.
Well the romulan one looks super pretty, I kinda want it, but my rommie is all about the DPS so its a no go. my Klingon is a cruiser captain, but the klingon command cruiser, eehhh I really don't know about this, why can't you just like make a more heavily armored looking D7 instead these really strange box ships. looks like I'll be cruising in my Kamarag for a while longer.
OMFG, ENOUGH WITH THE FRAKEN SHIPS! There's more than enough in the game to suit just about anyone and you still insist on making more. The Delta Pack was fine enough (even without the T6 Voyager that should have come with it).
Y'know, if you really want us to have fun with our ships, how about working on PVP for a change?
Romulans and Klingons got no T6 science ships from the Delta pack. Romulans and Klingons only got 2 ships when the Federation got 5 with that pack. More then enough ships? I think not. If anything they should release a few more intelligence ships for the KDF and Romulans along with these command ships. That being said, it's about time for more Romulan and KDF ships at the T6 level. Especially the science varients which I would hope have proper science seating for Boffs on release.
That being said, kudos to Cryptic for remembering they have more then one faction in the game to release ships for in the new expansion and especially giving KDF and Romulans a large increase in science ship options.
Meeh. 12,000 Zen is a lot. A lot for nine cruisers.
At Steam prices apparently 10,000 + 2,000 Zen is £83 + £17. So £100 for nine cruisers at the very least.
Gonna need more persuading, honestly.
In my mind I was trying to work that out. so thanks for the help and it is proper bad
while some of the romulan variants look pretty good. the fed ship variants look like a mix of good and awful. kdf just looks awful.
I think my wallet will be staying firmly shut once again.
DR and now these. your not doing very well out of me in the last 5 months. considering I've bought a stupid amount in the past.
Selling new ships is one of the main ways this game keeps its doors open and it's not like there aren't an abundance of free models for you to use. And as ever you are free to not purchase.
Yeah, that's why it's a "FREE TO PLAY" game, right? Like I said, there is more than enough ships already in game, most of which you aren't free, so why do we need more ZEN ships than we already do?

I always thought thats basic knowledge, but the STO forum proves otherwise

Ladies and Gentlemen,
the first forum poster to complain that STO doesn't care about DPS Escorts ..
Yeah great idea but KDF and ROM ships were clearly second best as all the development time seems to have been lavished on the Feds, AGAIN!. SO we get Command ships and T6 Sci ships that the ROM & KDF factions desperately needs, welldone Cryptic!
Or you get the same result refusal to buy the Bortasqu series did: No KDF ships for months.
I was trying to go with the 'silver lining' option but yeah, thats the most viable way it'll end - I mean you truely have to hate the kdf to create such bug ugly monstrosities based off the poor Bort....
It's unfortunate that the Command Ships have such a defensive/support focus, considering the heavy, pure dps focus this game has always had, and especially since the difficulty changes of Delta Rising. It's possible that one of the Command Ship variants might have a more tactical focus (more tactical BO seating, tactical console slots, etc.), but that won't change the fact that the weird "Inspiration" mechanic requires the use of Command BO abilities to function, most of which, as I understand it, are fairly underwhelming, especially from a dps standpoint.
Which is especially unfortunate considering that the Romulan Command Ships ships look incredibly sexy.
I feel bad for the KDF, though. Between the possibility that there might no longer be exclusive story content made for them, and now, seeing the rather...blocky design for their new Command Ships (to put it politely), they've been having a rough week.
"There will never be enough blood to wash away my need for vengeance! A single world...I could destroy a million worlds and it would not be enough! Your existence is an insult to the memory of my people! I will continue my fight, even if I must fight alone!"

It gives a nice variety of options so everyone is not stuck with the same ships, the same build, the same weapons, etc.
Some people will embrace the new ships and enjoy them, some people will pass on them as they do not fit within their playing style.
DAT background. Each ship, in the Ship Editor, Paper Doll, whatevah ya'll wanna call it. WE NEED THAT.
The current ship editors are too dark. We need to be able to see how our ships looks first w/o having to make a few changes, orbit spacedock, look at it for real, then go back, and forth till we like it.

Uh, I personally think more effort went into the Romulan designs this time. Feds just reused an entrant design from the Enterprise contest (specifically, the Fuzzyprise). You do have a point with the KDF though. Looks like a repurposed Bortasqu.

Because Command ships in real life and sci-fi are usually specialty cruiser ships. With larger ships such as battlecruisers, battleships, battlecarriers, or carriers also being able to perform the role.
Of course, there are occasional exceptions; where some sci-fi games have a tiny dedicated Command vessel; but those are usually fragile and just there to support fast-attack vessels. So while we might not see a full Command Escort (which would be hilariously useless), we could see an Escort with an Lt Command hybrid seat.
Yeah, very underwhelming at the minute. More details might change that, but at the moment, it looks like a set of ships to skip given the last 9 pack was kinda bad.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.
Between the Zen I've nabbed on the exchange, my Zen wallet from adverts and questionnaires, the Dil I have, and the Dil I've harvested this week and need to refine, I've got more than enough readies to buy the 9-pack, but I think I'll hold off for at least a 20% off sale anyway...
Technically, Fuzzy Modem did as part of the Design the next Enterprise competition. Here is his entry. A YT vid of his if you need.
There's a list somewhere of other entrants' designs being turned into STO ships.
Edit:
2nd place became the Avenger.
4th place became the Chimera.
Or you get the same result refusal to buy the Bortasqu series did: No KDF ships for months.
I remember seeing this awhile back and, while I find this design and the work on it very beautiful, I would like to point out to him that he made a couple tactical booboos, by missing a few strategically needed arrays and torpedo bays!
Of course, having some actual blueprints would help a lot regarding this!
while i don't like the idea of buying the pack to get acces of all the costumization options, the blog entry is really nice done. nice gifs and better presentation with helpful informations

Yes. The D7 is the most baddass looking Klingon ship EVER made. Along with it's the K'Tinga and K'orotinga.
Yet these models sit unused.
Maybe if I dunk my head in freezing cold ice water it would make sense? Or stab out my eyes like Event Horizon?
I get a sense of DUNE when I look at the Klingon ships here. The look like the flying mausoleums of that movie. Kind of like Warhammer.
The part i don't like is if i can only afford 1 ship now, and buy it later on i can't buy the bundle that contsains it. WTH? you don't want my money? Am i to be punished becuase i don't have 120 dollars to buy all 9 at once? This is forever TRIBBLE the little guy at cryptic and it needs to change if i decide to buy one ship for 3k zen now and then bundle up later then oh well i get the discount instead of buying each at 3k per.
I have to say, I think those Romulan ships look pretty snazzy. Too bad I really hate Romulan ships and being stuck with Sing cores and having -40 power. I get that it makes them unique, but it also keeps me from playing and enjoying them. Hence I won't be getting them.
The Klingon ships look like a bunch of garbage scows. Actually, I think they should just be hauled away as garbage, but that's just me. I won't be getting them.
The Fed ships look alright, some of them even look good. I'll have to wait and see more shots from different angles before I can really make up my mind though. So for now, hesitant, but may possibly buy depending on future information and screen shots.
So *if* I get any of these ships, it'll be the Fed ones only. That's 1 for 3 if I do indeed get them, but I'm betting it's going to be 0 for 3 to be honest. There are already plenty of ships in game. While adding more will make Cryptic some money, I kinda doubt any of it will be from me. I just can't see myself spending any money on the game anymore until some of the serious issues are resolved.

The KDF Battle cruisers look like someone decided to get payback on the KDF for all the comments about Federation ships looking ugly. Just saying.
I see nothing to move my KDF Eng from a Matha or my Federation Tac from an Eclipse.
Any new mischief things planed? A team-up with Crashdragon?
Anyway, I am looking forward to fly these ships within the next few months.

Is that just a design thing or does this have a super duper mystery function?
Does it transform?
How about Rom/KDF Sci ships, or maybe some actual content to use the 25 ships you've put in the game in the last few months on?
If I buy your 12000 zen, how about you spend the money on more story/content?
You know it's gotten bad when my first post since beta is this one.
