For all those having trouble with the ramps, use a fast shooting weapon, like a compression pistol. Of course start with the normal difficulty and avoid the electrified plates at all costs. Those plates never reach the border of the ramps, so you can move right on their edges if the electrified plate is right in front of you.
I'm happy to report I finally managed a clear run (on normal, for now).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
I've got it down now but the first time I died a lot. Trial and error.
Equipping a pistol, turning auto-fire on, and tabbing through the targets is the first part of the key for me; the other part is to not rush, run at regular pace or make very short sprints to beat the countdown stripe. So, I quickly shoot the first 3 targets and take off. It also helped me to put on my tux and hum the theme to Mission Impossible.
(I had originally tried in manual aim-mode... and that's normally how I play since I love the effect... but it just wasn't working here, for me.)
If the next plank is all electrified plates, I turn and run parallel along the joint, and jump across the first smaller plate I see.
After crossing the first 2 planks I shoot four and five so they're extended in time for when I get there a second or two later.
The only thing I'm watching are my feet. Watching ahead of myself for electrified plates or countdown stripes got me dead a lot. I also realized I had been trying to count the planks or targets, which was distracting. Instead I just say fire the first volley, run, second volley, run, third volley, finish.
That's what's worked for me. After that, I was able to make a couple of minor adjustments to shave a couple seconds off, and do it on hard mode.
We can;t contact the ships to do that as bald kim TRIBBLE up the communictions as said in the beginning of the temple
Yeah, KIM screwed it up. I kind of guess old KIM knows what and how young KIM would do things, and the old KIM probably knows a few tricks young KIM have not even heard of yet (he is a few decade behind in knowledge and experience). :P

Yeah! Someones done it.
I tried it again yesterday. Did not die nearly as often the last time. Surprising few actually. About 8, I think. Felt sooooooo much better about this mission. Tippy-toed on some of the bridges ( btw - the lips are only on the right as you cross if someone needs to try it ).
A couple of times I tried to back up the camera view, tapped the weapon key like cra-zee and ran for it. Some times it work and other time I was in the drink any way.
We're pleased to announce that our latest Featured Episode - Dust to Dust is now live! We've gotten disturbing reports of more Vaadwaur incursions on Kobali Prime! Captain Harry Kim needs your help on Kobali Prime fighting them off, as well with uncovering why the Vaadwaur are so drawn there.
Each week we'll be rolling out an additional reward for the Dust to Dust featured episode, for a total of four distinct reward options at the end of its four-week run.

As much as I loved the story, voice acting and visuals of 'Dust To Dust', I don't think the Kobali Space Set is enough compensation for putting up with the utter fail which is the Bridge Slider shooting 'puzzle'. It's just a shame that the experience of such a high quality episode, like 'Dust To Dust', was marred by the inclusion of the blatantly, anti-player-friendly, time wasting, timer 'puzzle' bridge slider. Completing the mission for a single character was more than enough of that bad design element for my sensibilities. I have no desire or intention to grind through such nonsense again for a set that is no better than current Rep gear. As an asides, if you ever get the urge to revisit/revamp/reboot 'Dust To Dust', ditch the bridge slider garbage.

Nooo!
Just add a 'very easy' mode.
What is it now for easy? 8 secs? 6 for hard and 4 for very hard?
Make it 15 for very easy. That should be enough for everyone to slowly walk around the electrified plates and finish the mission.

Better yet:
Normal: Unless you walk on electrified floor plates the slides stay up.
Hard: 6 sec before slides retract.
Elite: 2 sec before slides retract.... and get it up on screen for all in Cryptic to see so they don't have to take out their sadistic pleasure on the rest of us that are not insane enough to do it on elite. :P

The first week was the Kobali Uniform costume set.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!
You should get the gear set at the lowest level you can. that way you can upgrade it and maybe get a higher rarity version.
But yeah, someone else already mentioned that trick. I've never actually tried it though.
Well, I've got one officer that's 30th level ( YEAH! I'm a Captain! ) and two others that are not even 6th. I figured I make one of each - a TAC, a SCI and a ENG - since I don't really want to be a Kling or a Rom.
I would have liked to have the whole set for all my characters, but if sufficiently bored having to repeat this mission four times with one only character, with several would be hell.
They could have put at least different missions ...
Totally confused now. Are we even talking about the same thing?
I'll ask the question clearly: Does this mission, Dust to Dust, end and go away in four weeks or not?
Well as myself and many others have said already, the only anniversary mission to be removed after the event was the 2nd year anniversary where we took the Odyssey for a test flight. The 3rd and 4th year anniversary missions just got moved into their progression in the main story arc. Since this mission is a continuation of the main story arc, it will no doubt be added to the end of the current DR content and listed as level 60.
Also, when the Devs were responding to our concerns over the dated rewards (which we were worried meant they were limited time) they said that once the rewards became available they'd "be available forever".

Some of my Fleeties pulled me thru this mission and I appreciated it a lot
This has to be for (me).....The WORST mission I have ever played in the game
I will never repeat it
I sign in to STO to have fun not to be agravated
Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
I enjoyed this episode, even the story, my only complaint is that the very hard options weren't very hard. I like the fact this was a completely independent story and it wasn't all blowing things up and becoming a mass murderer.

Well, that would make it impossible for me to get two of the accolades from 'Dust to Dust'. So I'd rather not this change.
However, is it hard for you to simply walk around the electrified plates, since you propose to have the easy mode with only that 'challenge' left? I mean, there has to be some obstacle thrown at the player, no?
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
The location of the electrified plates seem to be randomly generated. Sometimes it's very difficult to avoid stepping on them. especially with how unresponsive the controls seem to be.
On the positive side, they made them much more noticeable at some point.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode. The plot was interesting to listen to, and never got in the way.
It's pretty fun mission. I like most found the sliding floors and maze a bit long. Only the first and second sections respectively were needed but it tied some nice real episode information into a an STO one.
I do wish that replays unlocked the gear for alts as well (an issue with all of these type of things) but beyond that there is nothing to complain about here. It's pretty well done.
I really liked this mission. The voice acting was good, and it was a very Star Trek-like story. My only complaint is that the conversation between Jhet'leya and Captain Kim took too long, so I had to stop in the middle of the maze to wait for it to finish to be able to hear it all.
I enjoy most of the mission. I don't like the last stage under the temple, with the chasm bridges... I do wish there was an alternate method of keeping them active that wasn't dependent on my personal dexterity and bandwidth, both of which are terrible. That's bad enough on this awful minigames for mining and resource accumulation, but this is to finish a mission. blech. I also wish the uniform was for account instead of character. I have a lot of alts and this is getting tedious. Otherwise, it's all pretty cool. I like the Kobali Boff from the maze, just wish I was able to make more use of her.

Actually, no. The plates are always at the same places. In theory, you could make a couple screenshots and learn their positions (unnecessary if you have a lot of alts or eidetic memory ).

In that case then I can take a small break from STO after the event as only getting them for the zombies ship which i want for the Tier 5 specialisation after that it will be relagated into the junk pile as not a fan of kobali or ship and it means I dodn't have to rush and do the mission every week

I must say from the bottom of my heart..... I really hate those floors. :P
And the horrible thing is I have to redo it for the other parts as well.
Whoever came up with that idea for an anniversary mission should really have his head examined.
