I loved this mission, I just wish I knew how long it was going to take when I started.
Anyway as an almost 50ish player whose reflexes have to degenerated to a level approaching Stephen Hawking let me give you a hint for getting across the floor panels;
Plant a turret on both sides of the platform. They'll auto-fire at the switches leaving you free to watch where you're walking.
Yeah, tacs and scis don't have those.

I'm a tac officer... didn't need any fancy tricks for the floor, just good timing.

you can accomplish a similar effect via teaming. Have another player/s stand on the platform and shoot the switches while you run.

Looks like that line would make a great quote for somebody's sig.

I only did this mission once. I died like a millions times. I've never had the kind of hand/eye coordination needed to be great at games that demand it. Long before MMOs I depended on my last save to make it through most games.
But in this case, I eventually got a thought and tried something that Golum would call tricksy.
Am I the only one who figured out that you could jump up onto that little bit of lip or ledge that the bridges come out of to keep from falling? Actually (long pause) it may have been to opposite side the side that the bridge tucks into. Maybe I need to try it again to be sure. All I know it that some times I could hop up onto it and other times it would not let me.
Yup. Before I figured that out, I just about cried when I saw that last batch of bridges. Too many for me to shoot and run and while crossing my fingers. I had to find another way. Hopping up onto those ledges was my only hope. Still died a time or two, but thank the Great Bird of the Galaxy I figured out to use those ledges.
It just occurred to me.... Anyone try to cross that maze from on top of it? That first set of steps allow your Captain to see the maze from above and in every direction. Perhaps a creative "Captain" can just walk toward the exit from above the maze. Since both Kirk and Riker were supposed out of the box thinkers, maybe the Devs / Writers thought of this and allowed for this. Perhaps the Accolade - Head Held High - has a double meaning?
Maybe I will try this mission another time. Or you guys could and report back if it works.

I tried walking on top of the maze, which it does not let you. But, I memorized the path, so it only takes a minute or two to navigate.
The retracting floor gave me a lot of anxiety the first time around, but I found that by directing my view with the mouse and running/shooting with the keyboard, it made it much easier to cross right down the middle. The respawn point in the centre of the chasm is very handy, too.

I'm pretty sure the maze has a few variations. Perhaps it was just perceptual because the Kobali was in a different location each time so I had to navigate to different locations, but I'm pretty sure my first and third play through were the same maze and the second play through was different.

If it does have variations, I haven't gotten another one yet. I've done it 4 times and it's been identical each time.
What kills me is that between the maze, electrified floors, walkways and jumping retractable platforms . . . the whole time I'm just sitting there thinking - "Wow. A zip line would SUUUURE come in handy about now."
I checked early this morning and it was listing 2 identical copies of the deflector, has anyone else seen thie, and do we know if one is bad?

Oh please please please put the Kobali Uniforms in the Lobi Store later, pleeeeaaassssee
I promise I will be nice again to everyone, and I will never again go off-topic in threads,
and I sell you my soul, and I will end any existing relationships I have begun here.
Just checking that this mission will be slotting in our mission journal afterwards, and if so what level requirement will it be? I am assuming it is 60
Did we get an answer to this question?
Assuming the mission will be available after the Anniversary Event ends, are there any rewards or accolades which will not be available? I understand that new rewards are becoming available over time, which are not replacing existing rewards.

My Lt. Commander managed to acquire the mission and finish it. I think he was around 20th level or so when first tried it.
Have not tried it with a Lieutenant or and Ensign. Anybody else know the lowest level you need to be to get this mission?

Fail.
Or hover boots. Spock had in the 23rd century (ST:V) so why could we not have them here?
Now the Devs are supposed to provide the Treknobable that explains why Hover boots would not work in this maze.

Why would you wanna pay Lobi for something freely available as mission reward?
(The Uniforms remain a mission reward, you know...)
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
1. PC slows down after a while.
2. 2 Hairy Kims.
3. I am a terrible player.
Only one hairy Kim. And in fact, even only one Harry Kim as well.
I presume the 'terrible player' remark is raised at the ramp challenge? I don't know. I'm a pretty bad player as well when it comes to speed of reflexes, possibilities with a touchpad... But I came to enjoy the 'minigames' in Dust to Dust. Still haven't managed to get a perfect run over the platforms, but I'm getting better.

I was referring to the part about the mission being available after the event ends. Does anyone know?
The missions from previous anniversaries, with the exception of the test flight mission for the Odyssey, have all remained after the event ended. They just got moved into their 'proper' place in the mission arc. The devs had said that the rewards will be permanent so I see no reason this mission would vanish.

Sorry for the confusion, the rewards are accessible starting on that day and afterwards. So on February 24th, you'll be able to choose all the rewards listed.
Basically, they are unlocked to choose starting on those days.
Wait, so how long is the costume reward available?
This has got to be the worst Anniv episode ever.I hated the the electric floors and those that dropped down.Harry should be doing the work not us it is his douple.
I would go thru. it few more times if it wasn't for the electric floors and drop down floors as well.

After my first time there I would not mind pushing Kim out on those floors, while saying "Watch the first step". :P

I, like many others, had many falls of frustration until I finally noticed that the last part had those electrified floors. I was mainly focused on getting aim on the next panel I had to shoot at and move to the next sliding floor, so I was not looking down at the details of the floor. The mechanics of this section just make it frustrating unless your use to reflex games like this was modeled after. I finally made it through that maze and really had no interest in ever having to do that mission again just because of how frustrating the part was to complete. It was not fun or did it add anything to the mission.

You should get the gear set at the lowest level you can. that way you can upgrade it and maybe get a higher rarity version.
But yeah, someone else already mentioned that trick. I've never actually tried it though.

It is very possible it was just a perceptual thing. I'll have to pay more attention if I run it again.
