I can't complete the final long plank run. So I guess I will never get the items. I don't know if its me being older an not as hand to eye co-ordinated or not. Yet after trying to get past one part for more than an hour I gave up.
Normal/easy should be normal and easy. Like if you fail so many times you get to go across automatically.
I wish they would've made this episode different. I know other people have had problems in other areas, but for me it was the planks moving across.
And for all those people that thought it was easy. Please remember I'm an over 40 yr old ST fan, and tried many different things during that hour from people in the chats. After some 60 fails you just have give up on ever getting across.
Not as bad as I feared. I was hoping for an epic Reason You Suck speech at Q'Nel, but the ending was satisfying, even if the episode had a lot of needless Kobali hypocrisy.
Combat was ridiculously easy, even on advanced; I did everything on super-hard, enemy difficulty Advanced, tons of lag, and the only stuff I had any trouble with were the traps--those WERE difficult. At least, with every red option and lots of lag TRIBBLE with me.
Voice acting was good; Ballard/Jhet'Leya's Action Items were a bit annoying, but her acting was solid. Captain Kim was awesome, Ensign Kim was basically the polar opposite of Poor Dumb harry from the show.
awful, felt like captain mario from star plumbers rescuing princess peach from an existential crisis.
whoever wrote this episode is an idiot, whoever decided it should be implemented should be fired.
no fun at all
The issue I'm having beyond the traps being difficult is that for some reason, the combination of the colour scheme and everything is making me physically sick. I literally had to step away from the computer to recover a few times during the mission. This is getting really annoying.
Another character named Cooper on the horizon so soon after we disposed of the last one. :P The hint that we'll be seeing him again "soon" wasn't exactly subtle.
this mission is more than a little demanding for those of us who aren't twitch masters, but if you don't mind dying a dozen times on normal, it's pretty cool.
The electrified ground part was a bit annoying. It doesn't play well with network lag. The rest was okay.
A hint for the final puzzle: use shooter mode.
Overall, I didn't like it very much. Too many puzzles. I can see folks getting endlessly frustrated with some parts of this mission. I'd make Normal mode way, way easier, especially the last part. But leave the other difficulties as is. If you must, remove accolades from Normal difficulty. This gives Hard/Very Hard modes more of a reason to exist.
I can also see this mission being extremely difficult to complete for the movement impaired.
Loved the mission, and especially the rewards as well as the surprise in the maze. I died a few times on the last set of floor traps but made it without shooter mode (had a good mouse to help).
Well done!
Only complaint is that i did this one out of sequence. I am 3 missions shy of the What's Left Behind mission, and after this i already know the ending.

I was enjoying it up until the maze and the shooting gallery to activate the floor over the chasm. Damn near gave me an anxiety attack trying to do that. Thank the code they put a respawn point in the middle.
All in all, not a fun way to give people an anniversary gift. All the stupid grinds for something that's supposed to be a gift are just unnecessary and unsatisfying. Would rather just pop open the c-store instead.
man i hate mazes then i get through the maze and they brought the servers down ...sigh

I'm kinda of mixed about this episode. What's most annoying for me is that most of the accolades are in 1 section of the map--and there's no break between them. So if you are trying to complete the ramp/pit section without dying--VERY HARD--you have to beam out and do-over the ENTIRE TEMPLE SECTION before you can replay it. Significantly annoying to say the least. It was bad enough replaying it just to get to the electric grid. Having to replay the electric grid & the maze just to get back to the ramp area is just twisting the knife.
I missed the boff. Hopefully I can find him on replay. I was determined to play the maze in 2m for the accolade---because I sure a heck didn't want to have to re-attempt that if at all possible.
Well, I found the Kobali and when I read through the dialogue, she asked to join my crew. But the join crew option never displayed, and I have space on my crew roster and candidates roster. It is now saying that I can only have one of this unique item. I have checked my inventory, reclaim store, candidate roster, crew roster, etc. and I have had no luck... Never even got a chance to say yes for her to join the crew...
They say time is the fire in which we burn. Right now, Captain, my time is running out. We leave so many things unfinished in our lives... I know you understand.
Great to see/hear Kim Rhodes again, but my god, Garrett Wang couldn't act twenty years ago and still can't act today. Listening to that wet dishrag is terribly painful.
I finished the mission, beamed off the Kobali bridge and NO reward, no one to hail, just the prompt in space asking if I wanted to start the mission!!!!!!!
I did receive the Accolade "Magnificent Five" that does show up in my accolades.
I logged back in and my new bridge officer I got during the mission is gone!!!!!!
They moved where you would see officer candidates. You have to press a button on that page in order to see the candidates.
Also, folks. All the retraining you did with your bridge officers wasn't lost. Some of my officers reverted to their default abilities, but everything I've trained them in before was unlocked and available in their skills window. It's a pain in the butt, and the devs didn't provide any warning about it. Yet, I didn't lose anything but time.
The kobali uniform from the mission is underwhelming and plain. The damaged versions don't really look all that damaged to me, it just looks like they have a little dirt on them.
The instant death mechanics were annoying and last part with the moving floors was also annoying and frustrating. Though I finished it, I won't trying it again.

I am afraid you will have to do it again and again 3 times if you want the full Kobali space set. good luck
I found 'shooter' mode was a big help with the movable floor sections.
I liked the voice acting throughout and the additional history of the Supremacy was interesting.
And additional plot hooks are good too, so I enjoyed that too.
Gotta agree with you. The bits about the history of the Vaudwaar were the highlight of the mission for me and left me wondering what exactly happened towards the end. The shift in the tone of the entries and the contents of those entries left me wondering if there's more to the story of the Vaudwaar civilization's initial fall that we might discover in the future.
And yeah, I found that other than that last half of the last room shooter mode made the platform activation/jumping segment a breeze - and I was doing it on Very Hard.
One thing that did worry me though was a glitch/bug on the external map. The final few enemies were completely invisible to me and I couldn't target or shoot at them at all. I had to rely completely on BOFFs and fortifications (was playing an Engineer) to kill them.

Actually, there was warning. It was discussed here in the forums, and if you read the blogs about the upcoming features you'd know. Now granted, they really should have had big freaking banners all over every media outlet they have, and a splash screen on login that screams "DO NOT PANIC" with clear instructions on where to find your boff abilities. But the info was out there.

And I will say this. Best mission in the game. Flat out. Hands down.
Love it, love it, love it.

I was playing in RPG mode. Didn't even think about switching to shooter mode until I started swearing at the platform jumping section.

Every time I have a mission that gives me a new, unique BOFF--first fill my roster with TRIBBLE boffs so that I can put it in reserve.
Fortunately I had a choice this time, but I didn't for the voth/heirarchy ones.
