Yeah, I need to get around to figuring out what colors weapons should be. One planned feature is more named minors. I've tinkered with it and figured out how, but so far they all use the generic minor AI. That and there's not many of them yet. The tell that you've encountered an actual named Minor race is that their empire name matches their species name. The randomizer doesn't even use the same lists when choosing those at random. Oh and they have histories that actually reference the TV show.

I'm using version 2.2.0 or 2.2.1, whichever is later (AND real). I haven't tried 2.3.1 yet.
Never looked into it. I don't actually play a lot of games. Is it a free game?

Uh, early access on Steam for 15 €. It just added Workshop support, so mod distribution is a lot easier. :)

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg

    Nerf is OP, plz nerf
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

Way, way, WAY too many games to even list them and not all of them new and unplayed. I'm quite happy to lose 100+hrs to Final Fantasy 7 which I've played countless times. That's grindy, updating gear, acquiring resources but so much better than STO :).

My new laptop and Windows 8.1 do not like my games, so I am reduced to playing CnC Generals and the Warhammer: Dawn of War series. i also play something called tripleA. It is freeware which is based on the old Milton Bradley Axis and Allies game. It has a very active community and a ton and a half of mods and maps.

STO is the only MMO I play and that is because of the IP. Tried some of the other well known ones and they just seemed to want my money or to abuse me.

I dislike Windows 8 so much! I'm still using Windows 7. Waiting to see what Microsoft's new OS is going to be... I might be convert back to Mac :P

Shoehorning a tablet OS onto desktops = stupidest idea since ME. Even Apple is smart enough not to do that.

Champions Online and Perfect World International.

Somehow this does not surprise me.

For me it's just about anything that doesn't have Cryptic or PWE attached to it

I own dozens of Steam games I've never gotten around to playing.

I keep going back to the classics. The old classics: Master of Orion 2, SimCity 2000, Doom and Duke 3D.

Half surprised no one has mentioned SWTOR yet, or EVE, and Star Citizen.

Typically Civs or Simcity is my other poisons, but most of the time I'm just listening to music, surfing the net, or daydreaming and making up stories in my head.

I decided to play something less grindy than STO, so I started playing Warframe.

Haven't played STO in almost a week, and before that I only logged in for a 5 minutes to keep my delta rep going which I have since finished. No reason to log in now so I have plenty of time to play a less grindy game like Warframe.

Think STO is grindy, try checking out some other titles like SWTOR or Eve. Now that's a grinder's hell. STO is quite generous compared to some other games out there. That's not to say the game hasn't gotten more leaning into grinding, but that the grinding still isn't horrible when compared to the game's competitors.

The PWE/Cryptic sweatshop...not where the game is made, but where the game is played!

Take back your home, end the grind!

    Whut.
The grind is STO is far and above what it is in Eve. I can actually have fun in Eve and am not coerced into doing certain content through nerfs to actually accomplish what I want. And at least CCP gives a hoot about the state of the game. Might resub come the new year.
