In addition to playing STO, I have a lifetime sub to Champions Online (twenty-some characters so far!), and I have an XBox 360 (mostly Mass Effect series, some Halo, and occasional forays into GTA IV), an old XBox (KotOR, KotOR 2, and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2), and a PS2 (GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, and Star Trek: Shattered Universe).
I play a 2D rpg game called Omega Force Hybrida (My own game), a RTS called 'Supreme Commander', and 'Freelancer' with Discovery mod.
I prefer playing Real Time Strategy games that's not Star Craft.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
I actually don't play STO that much anymore (). I usually play stuff on my Xbox One/360; right now I'm about halfway through Assassin's Creed Rogue.
Recently? Fiddled around with Mount and Blade: Warband and Sniper Elite V2 a little. (Yes, I have a very eclectic Steam library.)
"Great War! / And I cannot take more! / Great tour! / I keep on marching on / I play the great score / There will be no encore / Great War! / The War to End All Wars"
— Sabaton, "Great War"
Other than STO, I play Minecraft, Firefall (FPS/MMO shooter), Five Nights at Freddy's 1 and 2 (both on my tablet), Neverwinter, Champions Online, and the various games I have on my XB360 (Mass Effect, Street Fighter, Deathsmiles, Trouble Witch).
And I play around with Darkbasic Professional from time to time to try and make my own games.
*sings* "I like Gammera! He's so neat!!! He is full of turtle meat!!!"
"Hah! You are doomed! You're only armed with that pathetic excuse for a musical instrument!!!" *the Savage Beast moments before Lonnehart the Bard used music to soothe him... then beat him to death with his Fat Lute*
Out of the Winter event, has to be LoTRO (lifer), LEGO Minifigures Online (lifer) and just restarted Guild wars 2. Also dabble a little in Diablo 3 and will do so until Shards Online is released.
Apart from those i Dip in and out of Anno Online, and Star Wars Combine on a daily basis for a few minutes each. The latter I have been dipping in and out of for the last 6.5 years it seems!
My new laptop and Windows 8.1 do not like my games, so I am reduced to playing CnC Generals and the Warhammer: Dawn of War series. i also play something called tripleA. It is freeware which is based on the old Milton Bradley Axis and Allies game. It has a very active community and a ton and a half of mods and maps.
STO is the only MMO I play and that is because of the IP. Tried some of the other well known ones and they just seemed to want my money or to abuse me.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
I have an LTS to STO, CO, DCUO, and LotRO. I have carried a continuous Subscription to SWTOR since in Launched. Other games I play consistently included ESO, GW2, MH2015, Rift, ***, MWO, and FF14. And then there is a whole list of games I pop into randomly: EQ, AO, WoT, etc.
Edit: I did not add any Console or non-MMO games. That list would be huge.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
FPS: Killing Floor (gore, coop-multiplayer), Call of Duty (series), Brothers in Arms (series), Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (it's TPS too), Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (same as SWJK II JO)
RP: KOTOR 1 & 2, Mount & Blade: Warband
RTS: Stronghold Cruzader
TPS: Gears of War (series), Star Wars: Battlefront II
I play Star Trek Legacy (TrekBattles Mod), Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity Edition, Europa Universalis IV, Civilisation V, Halo Reach (my first foray into the franchise), World of WarPlanes, Space Engineers, Freespace 2 (The Babylon Project Total Conversion Mod), Empire and Napoleon: Total War, and others which are basically play-on-a-whim. I'm a very casual gamer as far as how much I play any specific game.
Unfortunately, I haven't been on STO much lately, but I might jump on over X-Mas.
Red Faction: Guerilla, Frontline Tactics, Scribblenauts, Kerbal Space Program, Grand Theft Auto IV (not FIVE, FOUR), South Park: The Stick of Truth, Game Dev Tycoon, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Hitman Blood Money and a bit of Star Trek Bridge Commander.
Kinda wanna TRIBBLE on someone's b*lls right about now. But, I remember the Gentleman's Oath.
It seems most everyone in the universe hates it, but I enjoy LotRO. I have also played the Mass Effect Trilogy about 5 times now. I might play it again. I haven't wooed Tali yet.
Other than STO, I play Minecraft, Firefall (FPS/MMO shooter),
How is Firefall nowadays? I played it for a while back in the eternal beta, but I've heard there's been significant revamps. I did like what I played, though.
I dabble in LotRO and WoW. Which is ironic because I'm not a D&D type of guy. I much prefer sci-fi or superhero stuff. I moved recently, and had my game system down for some time, so, using the family laptop, I rediscovered Civilization II via FreeCiv on the 'net. Still a lot of fun for a game two decades old.
Space Empires 5 (great game with dozens of fan expansions you can play, some of them written by me.)
Starfleet uses bio-molecular phasers and photons in there. It is an interesting mod, though - I'm currently playing hotseat with my younger brother, my UFP just managed to form itself (through alliance naming shenanigans, the UFP is a member of a bigger UFP comprising the Abbidon, Klingons, Ferengi, a minor faction of avian Gorn, and the Haakonians' Borg Empire) and is waging a passive war against his Borg Collective.
Speaking of modding, what do you think about Star Ruler 2? I've only casually dabbled in modding SE5 (mostly Stargate-themed components, looking forward to Prometeu's shipset release), but this thing looks like it could support a completely different game under the same core engine.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

According to the game's veterans, there's a lot of changes. I only started on the game last September, but the thought of owning a motorcycle with oversized tires wore off. I go back once in a while (but keep getting driven back by the huge patches they have for their updates).
I guess in the end I'd rather have a starship than a bike (though that would be neat in STO even though it's not canon).

I would play World of Tanks because almost all my friends migrated thee after CoX closed and WoW bored them ... but I can only handle one MMO at a time and STO is it.
Tried some of the other well known ones and they just seemed to want my money or to abuse me.
...............
Back on topic, for MMOs right now only Anarchy Online and occasionally some SWTOR. Just finished killing the last warchief that ever managed to kill me in Shadow of Mordor, tons of Path of Exile (f2p done right), working on my Quake II speed run times, a fair amount of Borderlands 2, just finished replaying Arkham City for the 2nd time, started Half Life 2 again for TRIBBLE and giggles, and am finally getting into STALKER - bought it when it came out and never played it.
My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.
gave up WoT almost a year ago in a new years vow, i intend to keep that vow regardless. was in a moment of nerd rage, luckily it didnt get out of hand :P. but known to hold a grudge when something specific gets in the way, i always repay these debts in a nasty way on these games.
anyways, left WoT, arty is just an empty shell of what it was, and teams are always doing their own thing, usually loosing matches quickly. there isnt much in WoT anyways.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
As of late Ive reinstalled skyrim to fiddle with new mods and elite dangerous. But always loaded and played some Id say kerbal space, war thunder and vindictus.
I used to play wot but the anger I kept seeing in people after tier 6 just made me want to move on. I tried to work around it for a while. I think went up every tank and destroyer tree to 6 or 7. Later I gave war thunder a try. Its a different but fun and Ive rarely found myself wanting to put a sticky note over where the chat box is on my monitor. Not because the people are any better but being able to just jump into a new tank or plane after the one you were just in exploded give people a lot less time to spew anger all of the chat for the rest of the match.
GTA 5, Far Cry 4 (I'm almost done with), I jump onto Destiny from time to time, been playing WWE 2K15 (Been waiting 20 years for Sting dammit) and Super Smash Brothers Wii U....Also Random games on sale from Steam...or steam it self because sometimes just buying games on sale is the game it self.
That's why i Still enjoy STO, because I don't burn myself out on it like some others, then whine it's not fun anymore, and to grindy, or a Job.

Yeah, I need to get around to figuring out what colors weapons should be. One planned feature is more named minors. I've tinkered with it and figured out how, but so far they all use the generic minor AI. That and there's not many of them yet. The tell that you've encountered an actual named Minor race is that their empire name matches their species name. The randomizer doesn't even use the same lists when choosing those at random. Oh and they have histories that actually reference the TV show.

Never looked into it. I don't actually play a lot of games. Is it a free game?
sometimes I buy myself a month of playtime in WoW and play that for a bit, I also play The Secret World.
as to single player games, I play the Dawn of War franchise, Anno 1404 Venice, sometimes I return to the Red Alert games, preferably Red Alert 1, and then there is StarCraft 2 and StarCraft 1

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
