Yeah, the troll keep coming back in our channel. He is muted, but he is using the list as a way to get targets. Each time I remove them they just come right back in. I am sure he has a macro for that as well.

lol. Claiming to have patched the problem and yet it persists exactly the same way it was before the alleged patch is applied. Anyone starting to think that they aren't actually patching it at all? I mean, its not like defera city still spawns stuck heavies, or argala not instancing teammates together, or Delta rep helmet option being removed after being "patched" and addressed in patch notes.
Oh wait, they're all still exactly as unfixed as before their respective patches "fixed" them.

That is a bit of a concern. I know people will say stuff like "Oh, it's just a game!" Still, in today's world, people often live vicariously through their online personas and game characters. All it would take is one of them being pushed too far and then suddenly things get way out of hand. I am not saying this is the goal of the troll(s) but I hope they know that these things can and may happen.

Thing is a lot of people don't read the patch notes so they are probably not aware. I don't mind. I just want to make sure people are able to get the problem taken care of on their own.
Seems like it is working fine for me now. Game is so much better when I don't have to deal with that stuff.

Removing NoP and related channels from your website would be a step in the right direction. As it is, saying you are getting trolled by a fleet that more or less runs a channel that you still recommend people join, seems counter productive.

Unfortunatly the only solution is to "Group block" the entire fleet of toons, and prevent access without confirmed identity... due to complaints. Cryptic does not seem prepared at this time to take said action.

NoP Public Service Channel is not to blame here. NoPPS has almost overtaken RedAlert in the number of subscribers and provides a solution to all types of fleet access needs. In no way does NoP condone the use of this channel for anything other than the service of the community.

I have to agree with this. I am actually still a member of that channel. I have never been threatened in there in any way. I was never kicked from the channel either. I don't visit as often as I used to, but they are still in one of my channel tabs.

Abusing the invite system to aggravate others is by no stretch of the imagination something that would not get laughed about on those group channels. If it was me, I'd be handing out bans outright but I don't run the game and I'm sure roughly 10k people are thankful of that at the very least.

Now, could the spammer be one of the near 10k users of our PUBLIC channel? Of course! Do we condone it and support it in the channel? No! We are very hands off on our moderation in NoPPS preferring to allow a more relaxed environment and for people to self-moderate to a degree but I can guarantee you if someone started trying to organise something like this in there we would step in.
If after this patch you are still having problems despite the ignore/relog solution then feel free to add any useful information about it to this thread as bluegeek stated, but please don't throw around baseless accusations and random finger pointing.

It's for fleet map invites, advice, tuffli/suliban invites, etc. While I've seen the odd user offer something for free, it's not typical. I can see why Olivia took giveaways out of zone chat, it's terrible, but it's more convenient to create a channel specifically for her givaway gimmick than to use another channel where it might interrupt people asking/receiving invites.

That a reddit fleet also responds to requests for fleet map invites means nothing, it's just another t5 fleet providing a service in a channel made for that service.
