Indeed, as with season 9, xbox controller works, logitech devices not so.

I concur... my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro after I patch to Delta Rising is just dead weight on my desk. And I use it to pilot my ship in combat.

It was pain staking... but I manually key-bound everything I needed to it.

    Dear Friends.

Hungary is an little central europe country. It is a small country with big ambitions but are related to space exploration. Hungary has recently joined the ESA (European Space Agency). But running a fully-funded civil moon probe project of the country also, the name PULI. (I personally support the project.) After all, what I want to do research in space. People who can not get out into space, it remains in virtual space travel. Star Trek Online is the best option for this.

We know that the STO is a multi-platform MMO. (Ground FPS, Space Ship Simulator, and task management game.) We see that now the "Ground FPS" is in the forefront of its development. This is not a problem. But the problem is that the developers have neglected or even ignored the "Space Ship Simulator" section. I and many others are not soldiers or land-strike unit. We are starship captains, strategists, pilots. All we need is a joystick and controllers, so that we can navigate and manage the starship, as if actually sitting on the bridge. If we do not get this opportunity, the game is not for us to use, not enjoyable, does not work. We are not interested in ground combat. We want my realistic starship bridge.

    Development proposal would add two:
    - We want the thrust to continuously regulate the thrust control lever joystick.
    - We want you to work on the dual-screen view. (Primary display showing the environment. Secondary display showing the radar, the instruments, the map and the controllers.)

Thank you to swiftly respond to the kind development team.
I want to return to my starship's bridge as soon as possible.

    Best reguards:
    Captain Harkness

Quit nerfing things long enough to fix this. Does anyone at Cryptic realize how ridiculous a space flight game is without joystick support?

Time to examine your priorities. Nerfing things drives customers away and so does not fixing bugs. Combine the two and why should anyone bother with your game any more?

very strange the silence about joystick bug. I don't understand that decision.

Please, devs... Give us at least an answer...

I can see multiple versions of this question.
    - The previous update, although that was the problem. The new update has been used in the source code version, which was not fixed to the control problem, because the saved version of the intermediate version accidentally deleted. It is hard for human mistakes. Now, who are looking for a mistake, but will not talk about it.
    - Reduce the funding base. Closed some statistics based on the direction of development, but not so competitive behavior face to face to tell the users. In this case, you will be taken to the problem when all else has been conducted, and there is spare capacity.
    - The developers have decided that the game is too complex. Highly fragmented capacity during the development process, developers do not have enough, too much error. Was chosen as the most unpopular part. First, the development of neglect. Then slowly led out of the game. For example, the next major update of the starship, only to be used to transfer between two ground area with autopilot.
    - And much much more embarrassing can also cause you still have not found out the way it can tell us.

Same here... guess DR is on a delay for some of us. Oddly enough my logitech f310 doesn't work even when set to x-box mode. though because I use a custom keybind set for my controller I prefer direct input.

On another point, looked at the actual bind files, and button assignments have been changed to hex code, the same as the last time this happened.

Come on devs. not all players who rely on controllers can afford to go out and buy a $50 xbox controller and a $25 USB adapter to play STO. Stay with the directinput code and forget the x-input.

You have to have a $25 adapter to make an Xbox controller plug into a USB hole? Damn I'm glad I never bought one to use with STO. For some reason I just assumed an Xbox controller would be USBto begin with

This has been broken for a long time this go around.

    Please get it fixed.

Or at least tell us if a fix is even going to happen.

If you've officially dropped support for directinput devices, then please tell us so we can stop bothering you about it.

Another maintenance, still no fix for this issue.

I wonder if there's any way I can transfer my LTS to Champions Online, at least they still support controllers.

i must say, i am disappointed by this. Last time this happened, took as long for them to finally fix it, but at least they were keeping us informed.
This time, we getting nothing. It shouldnt even have made it to holodeck. I've just about had enough of this. Total BS

What's worse is they could have avoided it completely because the exact thing that's happening is exactly what happened last time, the button assignments in the bind files being changed to hex codes.

They simply used the same flawed code.

Don't try to "fix" what isn't broken idiots.

Your game is broken AGAIN. Fix the controller issue AGAIN. SMH, such amazingly talented devs...
Petition to add fly from bridge feature. Please share!!
Me: Did you read past the title? Posts about flying from the bridge are not allowed. They are prohibited.
Game Master Urizor: Yes, and while I understand your suggestions, however, the forums is the best place to discuss suggestions. I apologize for the confusion.

Finally, a step in the right direction! Gives some hope that someday it will get fixed. Looks like it is last on their list though.

    Hello everyone,

The team is investigating the issues with controllers and will be working to get this addressed in an upcoming patch.

We hope to have an update for you soon, but in the meantime we really appreciate your patience about this.

I know how hard it is for those of you who depend on the controllers to play STO comfortably, and we are looking to get this addressed asap.

    Thanks again everyone!

The tribble patch notes listed it as fixed.

    Tested on tribble, still broken.

I tried it on Tribble today, and it is working fine. Make sure your mode button is not active.

Can't wait for this patch to go live!
