Hey folks, I've changed the title of the thread, stickied it and put the latest update in the first post.
We will try to keep it up to date but I'm about to cook lunch for Jack.

Just ran a pathping test (and tracert but that didn't reveal anything out of the ordinary), my connection to cryptic is apparently falling off at point where it transfers from my ISP to the AT&T network (100% loss) before hitting Cogent...as usual.

It's the weekend...These people have lives too. By this happening on a weekend that means there people who's job it is to fix stuff like this have to drive into work and are not already there.
if they cant fix it they should get people who can simple as if thats disturbing someones weekend or not
ik u will prob troll this and come up with excuses and reasons but really come on, tell them to a player who cares what u think. ik i dont

Cryptic you can stamp out exploits or clerical errors like thursdays Mirror Incursion dil reward error with utter impunity.
So why can you not treat game bugs and server stability with the same level of contempt.
Sorry fellow players i am usually a patient guy but this company with its joke of a customer service department. Clowns in Quality Control, and muppet of a Dev team are really starting to pee me off with how they treat their paying customers.
I've been here over 4 years and i'mm not demanding much other than a company that fully supports its own products by
A. addressing any bugs in any new content before it goes live.
B. Dealing with existing bugs in game
C. Values and looks after its customer.
One wonders if they are been told by CBS the ST license isn't going to be renewed at the end of the year and are now just seeing out the final days of the game by making a huge cash grab with the vast amounts of dil required to upgrade items, ect
I do find the whole "It's the weekend" argument to be a bit specious, since the weekend is generally going to be the busiest time on an MMO.
There's usually only an emergency response and maintenance team working on weekends. All the other technicians and specialists are off duty. It's... you know... weekend So they have to make some calls, people have to go to the office/server room, they have to find out what's the cause. It's not done in a blink of an eye.
I'm sick of trying to play and getting disconnected!
if its going to be very long then you should consider extending the time on the Mirror Invasion Event. Or give us two Transporters the next time we complete a round.

I was wondering this myself, as the content in DR doesn't match the IP at all. Intel? Stealth? Infiltration and sabotage? Running around yet another combat zone? And again... the bad-guy is the puppet of another power which might itself be a puppet?
Feels like a case of "dump to server and grab as much cash as we can."

No, Deep Space Nine had nothing like that.

While I appreciate the tweet, why's it Zero doing damage control and not our community managers? You know, the ones that can put things on the STO Twitter people actually follow.
I have no problem with unexpected server issues, that's just the nature of online games. The lack of communication about it from the people whose job it is to communicate with us is shameful.
Dude Yo This is Heavy I think they are having trouble with the power grid over there lots of active weather lets be patient Nerds here all will be well :P

probably because certain people are in jobs that really should not be in those jobs that deal with the community as they clearly are not up to the challenge of informing said community!

This is a ridiculous idea. Developing content costs money - lots of it. Cryptic is also running two other games, one of which it is putting actual resources into, and needs at least some degree of customer good faith - especially from their heaviest-spending customers, who I'd hazard a guess are most likely to be crossover players (to play both STO and Neverwinter).
These things all combined, if they were losing the license the only sensible thing for them to do would be to basically cut off updates entirely and wait out the end of the license - not to release a huge, expensive expansion and make up some but not all of that cost on sales of large content packs and relying on long-term cash shop sales to make up the rest. Releasing Delta Rising with the license about to die would be a terrible investment in terms of both money and good will.
I often wonder if people who comment on MMOs have any idea how economics, business, or basic sense work.

Actually I'm going to assume a Homer Simpson -> Dancing Santa role here. I just reinstalled the game today and logged on right around when these issues started happening. Correlation = Causation!

Why bother having a forum if all the important info about the game is going to be posted on Twitter first?
Try to understand, this a high nerd-rage QQ containment system. Simply turning it off would be like dropping a bomb on the real world!
