I've given up. Its getting worse, it was a case of being disconnected after a few minutes, now I'm getting DC'd as soon as I log in. So I'm pulling the plug for the night.

As a LTS player and a customer of Star Trek Online (STO), I'd like to request an extension of the current events by 1-2 days, due to the server downtime.
There have been other recent occurrences before Nov. 8, 2014, resulting in server downtime or connection problems. In the past, extra event time has been granted; please strongly consider doing this again.

Yes...they should be chained to their desks and never go home.

Well, most of the staff has nothing to do with the server and I might even go so far as to suggest that it wouldn't shock me if most of them have never seen the server.
That's a bit like pointing out how odd it is that, say, most of the working hours logged by television actors are not when people watch their show.
When you have issues, your friends have issues and everybody around you has issues.. at that point do you really need an official statement that you are experiencing server issues? There are probably ony a few people working today and I prefer them working on the problem instead of holding hands with the community.
if they cant fix it they should get people who can simple as if thats disturbing someones weekend or not

When someone says it will take longer because it's the weekend this is what they mean:
Weekend crew notice problem, call in tech guy/gal
Tech guy/gal has to drop what they are doing and come into work.
Once at work Tech guy/gal has to identify the problem and fix it.
None of this is an immediate thing.
