It's really a shame to reduce the XP even lower than prior. Where is the CEO? What does he have to say about all of this! I don't play as much as I use too. Only that one night for one mission for several hours. They need to put the fun back into the game points wise. Now everything you need have to cough-up for. Where is the model for online gaming sure not like it use to be.. If the players are down in playing, lets bring in an event and add one prize to lure them in for 14-days so the home office (parent company) can see we're doing things right here in the states!

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

Why isn't there a delta rising marks in this event? I working on that and there is no marks. Don't tell me someone didn't bother to add it to the list. Just had release Delta Rising a few days ago!

Bort, keep something in mind... the EP said Elite would be 2X the XP of Normal.
"Normal Difficulty: Before patch Kazon carrier 316 XP, after patch 253 XP.
EDIT: Advanced difficulty, Kazon carrier is now 316 XP, same as normal was prepatch.
EDIT2: Elite Kazon carrier give 504 XP, same as before iirc." - Numbers from OP.
if Elite is suppose to be 2X the XP of Normal and Normal Pre-patch was 316... XP in Elite should be about 632 roughly. It wasnt. XP in Elite was 504... which is close to being 2X of the current XP of 253.
So either this Nerf is a correction of Normal XP to make the EP's statements true that Elite would be 2X the XP of Normal... or you guys need to fix this "bug" and boost Elite XP up to reflect the statement from the ExecProd that Elite XP will be 2X that of Normal.

Bortens was playing on elite. From what I saw the 25% reduction is happening with critters on normal difficulty only. Advanced and/or elite suffer from no reduction what I can tell.

One Example: Study the "Crumpled Dance" Waveform Analysis Technique. Prediction and in progress show 1.202 xp upon completion. Once you have completed it (and didn't crit) you only get 900sth xp.
However I have a 8 hour skill bonus running and I wouldn't be surprised if that might be the culprit.

UI variable prediction would be a separate issue from actual kill XP modifications. Let's focus on one thing at a time.
As far as I've been able to ascertain, none of the tables or variables that control XP calculations have been modified since 10/21, and those changes were all included in the patch that went to Holodeck on 10/23. Our revision history on these files indicates no further modifications of any kind.
There may be a bug here, still. But now I'm wondering if it might be related instead to the maps being tested, rather than something from the core tables.

These numbers are consistent with my own although i've heard of people getting more, and people getting less. I want to thank you for your quick responses, this is what cryptic needs some serious improvements in communications both internally and with the player base
I didn't really pay attention to kills per enemy, but I am getting between 4000 and 4500 Spec XP for one Argala run on normal, variance is due to the 3 different enemies encountered. This is no real change from what I saw before patch, so no nerf detected on this toon, who is level 60 Rom.
Those affected can you mention if you run lifetime/gold membership xp bonus (5%) or not, as well as have any duty officers that give bonus xp as active or some such? If there is a bug something must be causing it since it doesn't appear to be affecting everyone I think.
Are there any other ways of modifying xp other than difficulty levels and boosts?
I noticed tribble did not get patched for the exp nerf even though the patch notes say so (checked this morning before holodeck maintenance). Is it possible holodeck got patched twice by accident?
Note, I'm talking Expertise here, not Specialization Experience. I never really paid attention to the SXP so I couldn't say there. Expertise was the top of the two lines, so it's the one I always saw.
But Frigates were ~37, Escorts ~80, Cruisers ~187, and Battleships ~219ish (just can't remember that one).
Playing through, it does not "feel" like the SXP is any different...it's just the Expertise that's showing as off for me.
Level 60 character, normal Argala solo patrol seems to get the same amount of skill points as pre patch, at least for me. Other people may have issues, however. These should be unintentional bugs and not WAI, as far as I can tell though. Hopefully whatever issues there are, are resolved soon.
I still feel that the skill/spec points offered are still too low, period, post DR release, but that is a different matter entirely.

You wouldn't guess seeing the state of the game.
I hope that is a bug, and if it is, then I hope that gets corrected inmiedatly with an emergency patch, as the XP nerf was.

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.
I added some more to it, testing more places/mobs - just a quick addition. I'll quote that at the bottom.
It appears that in some cases they've dropped a "level" for their rewards - while some didn't and some dropped more.
Frigate = Fighter
Escort = Frigate & Escort = Escort
Cruiser = Escort
Battleship = Cruiser & Battleship = Escort
Note, I'm talking Expertise here, not Specialization Experience. I never really paid attention to the SXP so I couldn't say there. Expertise was the top of the two lines, so it's the one I always saw.
