Umm ... Thursday the 14th? To patch and add new expansion to "Star Online"?

Obviously someone from the Mirror Universe is now in charge at the STO studios.

It's a message from the future...

I wonder how many posts I'll have by October 14th, 2021...and if I'll remember to complain about something I don't like in the patch notes for some game called Star Online. ;)

But c'mon, we're joking in jest and not mean spirits, right?

We're saving the mean spirits for tomorrow! :P

And so it begins... The patch notes will take a bit to type up, rather than copy and paste from tribble notes.

I hope we don't get long queue lines like the last expansion. The line game was no fun. :(

So, with this announcement, we all know that Star Trek Online will be Star Trek Offline for most of the week until they get all the bugs cleaned up and all the crashes fixed. Plus the massive amount of server lag will keep most players at bay for at least 48 hours...

Funny, but even though we all know this will happen, there will still appear to be hundreds of disgruntled players whining about the doom-and-gloom destruction of the game...

The known issues should take twice as long then. :P

Well, I am looking forward to a good 10 or 15 minutes of playable time. Hoping for no more than two server crashes in there. I do play very late at night so it is possible.

In all seriousness, very much looking forward to experiencing these missions with full sound and voice overs.

Any idea what time we'll find out who the winners of the Operations Packs are? Would be good to have an idea so those of us holding off on buying it can get in before it goes up to full price. :)

You sir, deserve to die horribly in a burning pit of chicken fat for uttering those 2 words together in the same sentence.

There is nothing "bacony" about tofu. Just eat bacon: It's good for you. ;)

    Cheers!

No, I will not break my oath. Not even for bacon.

And, apparently, you have chosen to announce via twitter that by 'stay tuned' you really mean wait for tomorrow.

Are we to take this as indicative of PWEs commitment to giving their own official forum accurate, timely and useful information?

What kind of self-respecting vegetarian doesn't eat bacon?

One who acknowledges that you need to kill the pig to get the bacon.

And one who has actually met some pigs and found them quite adorable for grunting ungulates that enjoy wallowing in mud.

lol ... And Thursday always falls between Monday and Wednesday the day a new expansion goes live on holodeck. Of course, we could make it even easier: include a patch for the calendar that makes every day of the week Thursday.

I don't kill the adorable pigs for my bacon. They are already dead. Not eating them makes their sacrifice in vain. I eat the pigs to show my respect for them.

What I don't respect are the monsters that raise their livestock in super-small, inhumane cages. Those people TRIBBLE me off.
