With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
Soon you'll be able to craft and upgrade your kits, it's just a matter of time. this is next thing they will add to the crafting and upgrading system. i just hope, they will lower the required insane dilithium costs.
Citation? I hope it's true (I've got some kits/modules I'd like to upgrade) but I haven't seen any info that corroborates this.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
They should honor the old faithful players and give for every year you have played sto some dilithium discount to the upgrades. charge the new players, not the old stagers, we paid already enough for the game.
I no longer believe in miracles. They want to kill the game.
We have already seen the same system with BGO, the players left.
Can someone please confirm this? I think the dil price went down. I was able to upgrade my fleet science console from Mk XII to Mk XIII on holodeck for less than 2k. That's including finish now. I only used the freebie upgrades and accelerators.

fleet consoles are cheaper to upgrade then normal ones and thanks for that, you already spent fleet credits and dil on them in the first place.
I want to point out that when upgrading from MKII to the MKIII ITEM:
[Elachi Dual Beam Bank Mk XII [CRTD] x3]
has become
[Elachi Dual Beam Bank Mk XIII [Dmg] x3]
Well the console are soo expensive that I barely got any. Most of my fleet gear I shields and warp cores.
Fleet consoles are "cheap", actually more now than once we get to DR. If I were you, I'd hit the PvE queues to gather fleet marks. It's only 500 fleet marks per console, and the dil is easier to come by right now also.

That's your opinion. Don't come here stating your opinion as fact in an attempt to engage an off topic argument. Drop your feedback, which you already have, and gtfo.

While you complained I got enough fleet credits to buy 3 more.

LOL... so you stated your opinion as fact, and that's okay. He comes in and states his opinion as fact and you flame him for it. LMAO... priceless...
Guys, I've noticed that not all T-5 ships can be upgraded, at least on Tribble. A few ships I'd like to add to this list that I know of are:
Prometheus-class (I believe it's called the "Advanced Escort")
Hegh'ta Bird-of-Prey
Sovereign-class (I believe it's called the "Assault Cruiser")
Odyssey-class Star Cruiser (freebie anniversary event ship, not from the 3-set)
Bortas-class (freebie anniversary event ship. not from the 3-set)
also the Mirror Universe star cruisers & assault cruisers
These can't be upgraded to T-5U, but it'd be nice to see that possible.
Also, I couldn't pull out a T-6 ship to try out on Tribble. Are those stuck in limbo til the DR release on the 14th?
I'm sure there's more, but as I was playing with my maxed out KDF character, I kept getting practically chewed up and spat back out in my Hegh'ta BoP. I'd upgraded the weapons to XIV and I think my shields got up there, too, and I'm still really getting it bad...
On a side note, what really leeches my ship's health is those "X" things that the Vaadwaur ships kick out and detonate. Those things HURT!

Well you will have to adapt, the game finaly has become a bit harder.

That really does depend on your point of view;
STF rewards are nerfed, which used to be a lot of people's favoured source of income.
If you don't mind Dyson Ground then you're fine, however it is shoehorning people to do specific content if your trying to be efficient. However how long that takes does depend on how good you are and how many people are camping the Rex's like they usually do.
Fleet credit is a fleet to fleet issue, if you have plenty of projects to fill and the fleet resources allow for it that's one thing, but if that's not the case it can be an issue.
I suppose it could be said that it comes down to an issue with fleet leadership, but to be honest I don't see DR making people suddenly act properly towards their members if they haven't been doing so already.
As to the dil, I know a lot of people in this game are either very for ground or space and don't like the other much (usually ground). Truth is though it is bad design to not have some variety in where people can go that are competitive to each other.
However, as much as I'd like to keep poking holes in how this upgrade system and other related changes is going to work it's obviously not going to change anything at this point, they have made no effort to engage with us at all about the system, as ever.

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
I upgraded my Counter-Command Covariant Shield Array Mk XII to Counter-Command Covariant Shield Array Mk XIII [Reg] Ultra Rare. Item set stayed yet there was no bump in shield cap from Mk XII. The only change came from the [Reg]. Hard to believe that if someone were to go from Mk XII VR to Mk XIII VR there would not have been any difference.
So I saw above in the post chain that it appears that the Type 3 Phaser Rifle XI and Type 2 Phaser XI may not be upgradeable. Interestingly, I got both to go into the upgrade slot a few days ago. Now only the Type 2 will go . (Just checked now and confirm that the Type 2 will go, the Type 3 will not)
Hopefully they are still working on it and ultimately both will be upgradeable.
It would be strange if they could not be upgraded given that all manner of other ground weapons can be.
So - nothing that was unupgradeable before has been fixed? The only new things we can "upgreydd" now are the items from before, albeit to MK XIV Epic. Wow.
I would have figured that SOMETHING would have been fixed over the last 2 weeks.
After I upgraded the item, the primary fire mode in my skill bar, was switched from "Rapid Beam" to a martial arts "Left Palm Strike", let me be clear the "Rapid Beam" primary fire mode of this weapon is no longer in my list of available ground skills at all, it is my Romulan Captain's primary weapon and it is almost useless now, please help!!!!! Submitted GM report and after a clarification of the problem was told to submit a bug report, no response to date!!!!!
Want to know the worst bug? How about the fact you have to pay Dilithium to upgrade when all the other MMOs I know of only require the materials to craft and upgrade.
Yeah, we can craft the materials, but still have to fork over Dil to use the upgrades, along with paying Dil for damn near everything else as well.
Did you take into consideration that you're cutting the Dil rewards down as well, making getting Dil that much harder? Do you realize you are also killing your F2P players? Why not just go back to Subscription only, restore the game to the pre-Season 8 and make everyone happy?
Then again, all bug reports get replied by an automated machine that says you'll look into it, and you never give a TRIBBLE.
Hell, you promised Secondary Deflectors for ALL science vessels before Delta was even announced yet you failed to deliver. Seems like PW/Cryptic only wants what they want, and not the game NEEDS.
Also, your only answer to power creep was make things harder but give everyone better gear? Yeah, no power creep will happen there......HAH!!!!!!
Until Cryptic starts delivering what they promised, I hope STO, ARC, Neverwinter and other of PW games go under. They need to take a lesson from Bioware and Sony about the F2P models of MMOs.

Agree 10 fold with everything you said. PWE doesn't care about the players they only care about making money.

Fork over dil?? You mean the dil they allow you to get in game?? Why would dil be needed in the game if it was never used??
Do you have any idea how you convert dil to zen? Apparently not since you seem to think nothing in game should cost dil while other players should still spen zen to buy dil from other players...

That would indeed be cool, pun intended.

From the old mark system, I got this item back around 2/3 and it CANNOT be upgraded!
[Covariant Shield Array Mk X [Cap]x3]
I put it into the upgrade window and when I click on the slot for an upgrade item nothing happens.

Those ships are T5 but you won't be able to upgrade them you will need the C-Store or Fleet Versions of those ships.
Only a few selected testers can, you will have to wait until launch day, if you have the Delta rising Pack
