Why no giveaways for Romulan characters?

Federation Uniforms, that no one wants, Bridge Packs that far too many already have, and two ships... One Fed and one Klingon. So there's NO treats for Romulan Characters? What were you thinking? Oh Yeah! That's Right! You aren't... (At least you aren't thinking things through)

    Because the Republic is weak and has to beg for scraps from the Feds and KDF.

    Which is a shame because we loyalists of the Star Empire got plenty of goodies. :D
    Leave nerfing to the professionals.

    Probably means Romulan items are still selling well.

    they did it to stop the klinks from whining they are getting the shaft. (not that it will)

    At least the Klinks can no longer complain that they're the low man on the totem-pole anymore.
    In this case at least, that spot is currently occupied by us, the loyal servants of the Republic.

    Yeah, lol. After I thought about it for a second I added "in this case" to my post. It is still pretty sweet playing Rom (Scimy, SingCores, SRO etc), but we are definitely getting shafted here.

    Federation uniforms that no one wants? Um, excuse me, did I ever tell you (OP) what I wanted? NO! In the meantime, thank you cryptic for access to a free uniform that I have never had before and will use on my toons. Unlike the OP says, I infact did want this and many other players will thank you too.

    How about some more Tovan Khevs? Would you like 5 or 6 more of them for your bridge? They're all non-dismissable BTW.

    yep I like having a lot of green check marks next to my uniform options. still need the DS9 admiral, Jupiter, and section 31. really don't care about paris' racing uniform

    I was a little disappointed as well that there was nothing for the Romulans.

    Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that it's a free event and they don't have to do anything at all. I have a Fed character, and honestly I have always wanted the T5 Ambassador so I'm not going to complain at all, I'm happy they're offering these things.

    I do wish my Romulan could get something as well, but I guess that's how it goes. As for Romulans being lower on the totem pole then KDF, I absolutely disagree. Romulans have some of the best ships and the most detaled and complete story line in the game. KDF gets pretty much screwed on everything, I honestly admire those that are dedicated and patient enough to stick with the KDF Faction.

    I had a KDF for about 30 levels, the story was terrible, PVE Ques were empty, it was terrible. I quickly deleted my Klingon, made a Romulan and never looked back. I'm glad KDF is getting some love in this event, they definitely deserve it.

    I think it might be a while before Romulan stuff gets in a giveaway because there's so few things TO give away.

    I will make good use of the Season 1 uniforms I got. That is one set I liked the best. The Admiral version is a toss up though. As for the other goodies I can make good on most of them.

    I found a way of including my fed rommie in the giveaway. Just used it to claim the fed uniform from z/c-store. Can't wear it on the rommie, but at least he got to feel like he was a part of something bigger... ;P

    Complains about free stuff. Yeah sounds legit. Though not getting a freebie tier 5 ship for the romulans, yeah that is a tad circumspect. But hey it's FREE.

    They did this last time I think? I remember getting a Nebula refit last time, and some bridges as well-but I don't recall there being anything for Romulans then either.

    Anyways I suspect the disappointment has more to do with the double standard than the 'getting stuff for free' thing.

    Romulans have three c-store uniforms: TOS-era, TNG-era, and the Nemesis Reman uniform.

    Well two, one is reman so romulans cant wear it.

    I really don't get threads like these. In fact, I think complaining about not getting something free should earn you a long time out to give you a chance*** to think about what you said, and let the implications of demanding something that would normally put food on the table for not just the Dev's for STO that many on this forum love to vilify, but those just trying to make a decent wage, and are doing their honest best. However that seems not not be good enough for people that a FREE event should just give EVERYTHING AWAY or maybe only the BEST things in the game. As far as Romulan gear.... Seriously? so what, most Romulan gear is amazing, I am not surprised in the least that it wasn't given away, and I have Romulan/Reman characters, I am shedding no tears.

    I bet some people here could be dying of thirst in a desert, find an oasis of water, and would start complaining it's not bottled water.

    If you want a ship bad enough, do it the old fashioned way, work for it. Novel concept I know.

    Well because you don't think. In the last giveaway we had content that romulans could use (the acid horta and ships below T5.) Here we have items that are restricted to fully fledged members of the FED and KDF. That's nice, for those toons, but what would have been nicer is at least one inclusive item like a special boff or the tribble that could have reached more characters.

    This (at least from my point of view) isn't whining entitlement as you would oh-so like it to be, this is just a small complaint that the choice of give away items doesn't take into account a sizable section of the player base.

    Barely anything for Klingons even...a ship almost no one flies and a Bridge pack which sorta already looks like what there are for free.

    The only really good thing out of it all imo is the Ambassador...they could of at least let the KDF get the Kamarag...

    I'd also take it over the 3rd anniversary battlecruiser. Why? Well it's not a battlecruiser which is the rather obvious choice for KDF captains (meaning that most people have probably already found one that works rather well, like the Neg'Var, Mogh, or Bortasqu.) A KDF science ship on the other hand very much works as the sort of gift you'd like to try but would never buy for yourself.

    In short I do like Cryptics choice here.
