Explain to me in your infinite wisdom then. You claim that someone will not be affected if they know the difference between reality and fiction.
You claim to be such a person.
However, you clearly are angered by the Bajoran fictional race so much that you want create a murder simulator of them that involves various forms of r**e, torture, beatings, and the worst violence possible.
This shows that the species itself easily angers you. If you were one who knew the difference between reality and fiction, you would not be affected by this species and not be angered.
But again, you will deny it no matter how many facts are presented before you.
Why not just go on out and say you enjoy the sick things mentioned above? Instead of trying to hide it become some facade.
Okay now I'm not actually sure whether he's trolling. Because...he's actually making a semi-decent point, but he's doing it in an incredibly bizarre way. He seems to be slipping in and out of RP...Maybe he's quasi-trolling? Saying something that he legitimately believes, but in a deliberately provocative way?

Oh yeah there's no question that he's trolling there. I'm just not sure he is here. Maybe he's multiple people? That would explain the inconsistent RPing.

Simplest explanation to my mind? I think we've managed to make him angry enough at our continuous excoriation of his genocide fantasies that he's finally dropped his RP persona, meaning we're actually dealing with the real person now.
"Great War! / And I cannot take more! / Great tour! / I keep on marching on / I play the great score / There will be no encore / Great War! / The War to End All Wars"

Violating the name and shame rule is pretty low of you guys.
But yeah, I perfectly understand the request. Someone wants to have a mission that shows Space FEMA's Death Camps didn't actually exist (in space), and explains to the people who listen to every space-mail forward in their spacemail box that they're wrong. It's, after all, a set of fictional events, and whatever message you take away is the one you read into it, but I find it more likely that the Bajorans (who, as anyone who's played the STF knows, actively try to kill firefighters who are just trying to save lives) are not meant by the game's developers to be a portrayal of any victimized group in real life.
I applaud repetitiveepic for being willing to fund Star Trek's version of Snopes.

I don't know if you know this or not, but in this game you are encouraged to buy and sell slaves, do medical experiments on prisoners of war, and suppress the uprisings of people yearning to be free.
To pretend that this foundry competition crosses some new line is to tell a lie.
With that, the sole intention of the Mission should be pretty clear.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
Can I call a motion to have the furry stop posting and mucking up a thread with incensed, imflammatory questions?
The answers were given: this thread is to present a contest. A contest in the Cardassian side of the events leading up to the Gallitep insurgence being brought down is made, presented, and criticized, through the Star Trek Online mission foundry tool.
It is a game mission set in a space opera's futuristic history, with the Cardassian's worlds being squatted by Bajoran refugees that didn't leave and decided that squatting another world or two was their given right. Dukat gave them a chance to flourish. Bajoran seperatists wanted Cardassian facilities to get destroyed in turn. All-out underground war.
Again, it is a game mission set in a space opera's futuristic history, as it is presented by the mythos of Star Trek. Similes to real life conflicts and events can be drawn, but shouldn't. It's not about those real life, present-day and past conflicts and events. It's about the Gallitep insurgence. Nothing else.
Please, Ashkrik23. Stop mucking up the thread further.
____GREAT LEADERS LET THEIR ACTIONS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
By his own admission, this has absolutely nothing to do with creating a thought-provoking mission, which is what this community cares about. Why do you think we fight so hard to keep the loot grinders out? He just wants to slaughter Bajorans and he's mad that the game doesn't give him the opportunity, and that we have no interest in obliging him. And based on Exhibit B, multiple support tickets filed against him, we can also infer that he wanted to start a flame war.
And no, you may not present a motion to "have the furry stop posting", any more than we can apparently file a motion to get the serial troll who started this whole mess permabanned.

One. Holocaust denier? This is literally inequatable to the actual Shoah. Stop that. Please.
Two. That is not roleplay. Additionally, that was posted in General Discussion, which also is not a roleplaying venue.
One: You have forgotten the Word "equivalent".
Listen and Repeat: equivalent
Two: That a PART OF THE FORUM is not dedicated to RP may not stop POSTERS from doing so, wich the OP did, so Exhibit B -> valid.
And maybe you want to read my Post from earlier you replied to again? I was not the one who was Roleplaying (acually, i consider it mostly a waste of time, sorry), i have ABSOLUTELY no intention to "push" RP onto someone, thank you.
(Re-read my Post, it was just amused that his well worded mask of a war crime apologist cracked and pure HATE [his word, not mine] shined through the fissures.)

I Hate Spoon heads (Cardassians)
Maybe I should make a mission praising the female changling for the mass exterminations preformed during the finale of the Dominion War.
Or a mission in that crazy parrallel universe... where the Bajorans occupied Cardassia.
What do you expect from a paid Claqueur? (Yes, i know, a Tautology)
Profound Background Information?

"Have the furry stop posting", ahahahaha, this is gold.
"Surely it is clear that bajoran stories and voices were highly privileged in the show. The federation chose to ally itself with the bajorans, especially after the wormhole was discovered. It already saw the Cardassians as the "other," and I believe it was only too willing to privilege the stories of bajorans that bolstered bajoran claims and made Cardassia look bad."
No. Because a lot of the show was about how the Cardassian propaganda machine had covered up and justified war crimes that they committed during the occupation. The reason the federation was pro-Bajor was because once the occupation ended it became clear that the wool had been pulled over their eyes by Cardassia.
Whilst it also questioned the Bajorans version of the occupation occasionally and took on a more grey area we have to read what the show said as fact because it is our only source. Whilst there were exceptions the show clearly portrayed Bajorans as victims and Cardassians broadly as the badguys. In essence Cardassia looks bad because it is bad.
Anyway I think the way of doing it as a historical simulation made by characters within the game could be very interesting. Could say a lot about the problems of different narratives being created by different factions and the fluid nature of historical truth.
Also doing a more straight up adaptation is fine because just because you are controlling a character does not make them the good guy. There are thousands of video games where the player plays as a bad-guy. Everyone should get off their high horses and go play GTA.
I think people really need to get a grip and stop being so over sensitive and PC about a video game. If you don't like the idea of what is proposed, then don't take part and ignore it.
All the people commenting like he is talking about re-enacting the holocaust are absolutely pathetic. Making out they are outraged by a possible sci fi video game realisation of something created during a fictional sci fi TV show episode. Its ridiculous.
If you don't like it ignore it. I don't really care for it to be honest, but each to their own. I also do find Druk and some of his proposals odd, but as i said each to their own. Grow the **** up.

Rather than relying upon secondhand and biased sources about the state of Bajor, let's examine it firsthand. Get an impartial view of how Bajorans behave.
Beam into an Undine Infiltration STF. What will you find?
Bajoran 'civilians' who are heavily armed and armored, who attack all other humanoids indiscriminately. They will wildly accuse starfleet and klingon officers of all sorts of things, and shoot them in the back unprovoked. Heck, they'll even attack firefighters. Firefighters who are in the middle of saving Bajoran homes.
When three-legged alien invaders are actively trying to kill their religious leaders and steal their most precious artifacts, one might expect the Bajorans to attempt to repel those invaders. That's a foolish assumption. Instead, they hate other humanoids so much that the actively aid the undine, spouting their xenophobic rhetoric all the while.
From the firsthand experience every captain can experience, it's clear that Bajorans are an irrationally aggressive species, one unable to give an accurate summation of events - even events currently happening before their very eyes.
Based on how they currently behave, I'm sure in a few decades Bajorans will be talking about how gorn officers went around eating their children, vulcans pon farred everything in sight, and humans burned down their city and stole their orb. Killing thousands of innocent and completely unarmed civilians throughout, of course. Obviously there's no 'Cardassian propaganda machine' - merely Bajorans who have difficulty understanding situations when under any amount of stress.
You would literally be eligible for grant money from me to pay someone to make that foundry mission.
Are you beginning to see what's going on here?
Wow.
You really just continue to double down on this repulsive position.
Now you are offering up "grant money" for other people to come up with ideas about mass exterminations.
I am beginning to see what is going on here.
You come off as a sick, twisted freak (not saying you are, but you are really starting to sound like one.)
Do you have some sort of sick fascination with extermination and war horror scenarios ?
What is your problem.
Seriously.
You managed to just ratchet it up a notch from insensitive and repulsive to downright creepy.
(Nice Edit after the creepiness of your original wording was noted. I maintain my position. Unless you can tell us some non mass murder/non Cardassia Propoganda scenario that would receive your "grant" money.)

This is not the roleplay forum. This is not where we portray roleplay personalities.
Heck, I hate the way the Bajorans were profiled as the sympathetic victims in DS9, too.
EDIT: Addendum: Not every single person roleplays. Many people do not. Stop pushing your roleplay on us.

Exhibit A, the OP roleplaying as the outer space equivalent of a Holocaust denier. Even other Cardassian roleplayers thought he was off his rocker.
Any questions?
