I like the angles on the Romulan ship, very stealth bomber look.

The KDF one looks like the offspring of a Vor'cha and a Bortas, with a bit of Dyson padding thrown in. Quite nice.

The Federation ship is an odd angle so not sure what to make of it. I guess it's like a heavy cruiser retrofit sort of thing, and those 4 blade shapes at the back are necells? Very sleek though.

All in all I like them, certainly much better than those Dyson designs.

    Thanks for the link!

With the Klingon ship to me it looks like like the offspring of a Vor'cha and a Raptor. The Fed ship I'm not liking much but I do agree with others in that it's a bad angle. The Romulan one looks nice...kinda sorta get a 25th century Romulan Raptor vibe from it.

Need a better angle for the Fed ship. I mean, WTF are those nacelles...

Yeah, way too angular and squished for my tastes. The Romulan ship is neat, and the Klingon one looks like something they'd build, but the Feddy one... really, what is the deal with that thing? Do those nacelles move or something?

Really like the Rom ship, leaning again on that bird wing concept. The Fed ship is gross beyond belief and another example that Cryptic do not get the Starfleet look. Time to get some designers in who really understand the simple and elegant flow of a Fed design.

Not like you can say much better about the JJTrek ships, shark fins on nacelles and big ugly hulks with a large hole in the saucer. :P

Well the Pegh'qu got a fair bit of influence from the Raptor, my favorite raptor model looks a lot more like that ship than the other models.

Thinking on it with the Feddy ship. I think what it's trying to do is look like something that could be a predecessor or ancestor of the Aeon and Welles-class timeships, as well as the Enterprise-J. The idea being that Starfleet design aesthetic will eventually move in that direction so by the 29th century, Starfleet ships look like that.

Except the Ent-J was fugly and the thing here just doesn't look Starfleet enough. It should be classy, elegant in it's simplicity, a queen of the stars. Not all brickabrack and glowing.

The Romulan and Federation ships look a bit too angular for my tastes. Cryptic seems to have an unnaturally hard time grasping the concept of curves for Romulan and Starfleet ships. The Klingon ship looks OK, but a bit too busy for my tastes with all the huge cannons and paneling. (only the Brel/K'vort had visible cannons, so I don't know why Cryptic persists on covering ships with huge howitzers)

The NPC ships look nice though. Nice to finally have some more canon ships. I look forward to blowing them up/flying them.

Since the image is only concept art, it's not a "finalized" version of the ship anyway. It could be completely redesigned to look nothing like the concept art version. Only time will tell.

The Klingon engineers decided that their ships needed more dakka, and to look more bad@$$. So they killed two targs with one stone. :D

Personally, I would increase the angle the wings are at, and move the cannons closer to the nacelles.

    - Romulan ship - a bit too angular in the concept work for my taste and for the usuall (canon) Romulan flowing and curvy design, but still sleek and intimidating enough to qualify.

    - Starfleet ship - LULZ
I thought you guys finally got the hang of Starfleet ship designs with the Tempest, that one was flawless. WTF went wrong here??
    I can only agree.
    Romulan ship: good as always
    Klingon ship: ... well klingon.
    Starfleet: What the ....
I have no idea what the devs problem is with Starfleet ships...
Seriously, i'm out of ideas. This is supposed to replace all canon trek ships?
That thing doesn't even remotely look like a Starfleet ship.
It looks like a Tholian replica of the stargazer.

There are so many gifted people around that actually CAN create beautiful looking Starfleet ships, why is none of them working for cryptic?
I could have lived with something that looks like the (original) Avenger Starcruiser, at least it looked futuristic, but this "thing"... well i'm out of words.

Who decides which ship design gets aproved and which doesn't?

I'm sure as long as it get high enough stats most ppl will jump at it.

At this point we can all agree that all the KDF ships have shacked up some place for a party, and this new ship is a result.

I expect to see it on the Maury show soon enough. "Bortas. You are...NOT...the father!"

I am sure when the ships are on Tribble in about a month's time (estimating), we'll have a better idea of what these ships will look like as well as their power/abiity.

Apparently Kazons appeal to the same demographic which drools over the new fisher price DOFF GUI and DSD (Dyson) ships.

You're *seriously* ******** that a Delta Quadrant themed expansion includes the Kazon - the first villain race in Voyager's run?

Do you not see how stupid that is?

So these were the only ship designs shown? Was there mention of any others? Or are these 3 the "metric ton" we were told were being worked on?
I watched the video of the dev panel, and the devs showed a Federation Escort near the beginning of showing off the concept art for those ships (which they said was only a sample of the ships, by the way). The escort looked circular from the vantage point of the video taken at the time.

romulan ship looks amazing, would probably ditch my scimitar for it on shear looks

klingon .... it reminds me of a termite for some reason, would be cool if they squashed the hull inwards making it a bit bulkier looking stole some of the forward downswept wings starting closer to the middle of the hull and changed the front saucer section's armor? to kinda wrap around the front and curve down forming something like fang's, also could be a bit thinner. Would give it a kinda fanged helm look from the front with the space between the wing curves making eye holes and such.

fed... it reminds me of a squid, not in a good way a mecha-squid.... would suggest stretching out the forward saucer and bringing it to a more dagger like point, move nacell's ? up to kinda blend/merge with where the saucer tapers towards the aft and would be cool if they were animated to kinda tilt off the hull's line into more of a X shape from the front when you warp or something.

Lol, the Fed one looks like they're trying to have a 80s square like look compared to the sleek rounded 29th century ones.

Same here. It looks totally badass, to me it seems inspired from F-22 Raptor steatlh fighter (and Lamborgini Aventador too, wich was inspired by the same fighter I think...).

Fed and KDF ships are ok, have to see more of the fed ones, so far are meh...

    My Opinion:

KDF -> ok, but nothing special

    Rom -> awesome, love it

FED -> wtf is that piece of ...?

+1 (They need a ship designer that doesn't hate Fed design aesthetics as I can't state egough 'WTF is that?' Re: The T6 Federation ship shown in the linked thread.)

I'm not fan of new ships in general (there would be much more important improvements to be made IMO), but I have to admit that all of the concept arts look refined and well-made to me; much better than the Dyson ship, I would say.
