several forummembers that brought me on the right path when i dropped my first forum-rants "hax/cheat/op"-style

methous for recruiting me into nc after i rammed jorges recluse out of their middle (rip wasteside)

reg for kidnapping me to the company and for introducing me to premades (i refused yet, no idea how he made it)

ic premade 2012: we kinda never got that premade. have beaten a lot of premades, even ones that beated ic, but we almost never could do it ourselves :(. (samik, hannibal, t'lilu-ma-nightmare-sci, sry can't recall the others right now)

a whole bunch of peeps from my chat-channel which had a burnin time around mid 2012-2013. i only gonna drop some names here, the ones i mostly went with (kickassmade ftw):

lure: first bug to beat and a personality not easy to handle. but fun guy (first boom made me happy. took a while...)

rama: thx for the term and the times

nova fleeties by that time (toz, zap, wiggles, stark, papa, bloodmage...)

mdl: whole lotta burnin pugs in c&h (damn that bug). i think our gaming became much more relaxed after we started to team. my fav sci and the only one i want to be one.

mr x: same as with mdl and one of the best bug-pilots i know. synergy with x and mdl always has been like automated.

master adoy: fear the pwn. cc how it should be, u gonna die.

jif: synonym for untoppable bo3 hits and "demege"

alen: gal-x pwn when no one thought it was possible.

charlize: many good matches with and against. i miss that tag to appear.

detroitdemon: timezones are op, nerf plz.

viperg: same corner than mdl x and demon

berk: hot-blooded turkish-warrior. many good times.

andrew: king of trashtalk... one may got a valium?

jason: he's sexy and he knows it

lourens: ever saw an eng pwning 3 decent scorts in charal? there u go (burst-dps and eng can go with each other).

voxxie u sexxie... get ya a** back

cryox and zelda teamed: the incarnation of everything that has been "evul"

link: for having to fear the court

drkfrontiers: for a lot of power and good intentions! sadly we've to deal with this certain company, so any attempts had to be made, but were like doomed from the beginning.

naz: for sharing his knowledge and community-building. besides all the dramas, which always are a sign of life, i can't think of a single one that did that much for premade-pew.

virusdancer: how much more borked this game already would be without him?

only mentioned peeps i recall right now, there are plenties of others as well. sry mates.

as for fleets, of course my one-man-fleet. most cool tag ever .

but mostly remember i will a c&h where i dropped into with stark (kid d) from nc on my kumari. a whole lot of pandas in there, and us two just ripped through them over and over... a match to remember (and to not come again ^^).
so my most recalled fleet is the pandas due to all the panda-skins on my wall from that match... (on a sidenote: they took my skin many times more, in all editions one could think off ;D).

oops, wall'o'text ^^. sry, wasn't meant to become one :D

while u upcome i gotta think of another memorable pew-moment for me. no say about "blah, how good he is" (well... he is, just as joll and kira as well :D:)).

made me think off that bootcamp-session i accidentally jumped in as coach with mdl. just to find one of the best bug-pilots i know in there. it was like "what da hell im supposed to teach this guy and why it's not him holding the lesson" lol.

fun moment, hope u not got too bored between all the "eeerms" ;D.

    Fleets:
Sad Pandas - I hated their Vapors, you always had to be afright MT decloaking behind, infront, beside you or somewhere else around...

IC - Hard matches, and they always go with other settings than we do. This makes things interesting.

Omega Flotte - Good friends, good matches.

Hobo - Kerrat is boring? Just insult em and there are hunderts of KDF around.

    People:

    MT - ...

Link - best Caller i ve seen so far.

Hannibal - good escort and supreme rages on Forum/TS ;)

    Kax - for beeing Kax

Barom - "He's dead, ..., oh something killed me - [Barom deals 9999999 Damage to you with Rammingspeed III]"

JogiR - always warping when he's on the loosing team :D

Entrax, Horjen, Cardty - i feel save flying around with them.

Horjen, Entrax, Heizluefta - for teaching me how to play a sci in pvp.

Cris Carter - For kicking me out of 3rd Fleet, so i had to look for a new one
Helsing - for inviting me to RE.

Anyone who has ever written a pvp guide for me to read
OPvP dudes who always are entertaining.
Kerrat regulars- always have me come back for more, nothing really beats the atmosphere on a good night in kerrat. most notably mini, mindsharp, dius and Steve, r0ck, probably forgetting a ton of others.
Vash the Stampede for showing me that Wells's can be terrible

Fleets: Pandas, RE, hobo, TSI, 32nd vipers, and many more for always making life difficult if you met any of them in the ques, even if there was only a single player from those fleets in the match.

This is the current (net) record for a Javelin hit: Hil'bert deals 224167 (114792) damage to Stark with Javelin.
(Please note that this is not even a crit. Also, it is the second highest recorded net damage event so far, only one (critical) Ramming Speed was better.)

And this is the current raw record for a Javelin hit: Hil'bert deals 107401 (165346) damage (critical) to Dusty with Javelin.
(But the second best raw javelin hit is only ~1k less.)

Husanak - Probably the most defining pvper. Not because of his battlefield achievments, but TD. For me it gave me the motivation to remain in STO at least a year longer. Actually, just realised, most pandas devolved into TD which is why towards the end we hardly did premades. Thanks Husanak.

This post is dedicated to Talon Jones/Biggles/etc/etc/etc

Without you I would never have been able to stay near the top of the "who gets accused of cheating the most in pvp" list for so long.

Without you I would still not have gotten death threats for beating people too hard in pvp.

This is for the endless entertainment from your flaming, the joy I got from knowing you were in FS and not telling Tami until he found out for himself, the hilarious chat logs, and the fun of refusing to let you into FES over and over again no matter how many times you came begging to our door.

I play other games now, but they're just not the same without you.

Live long and prosper, Talon Jones. May your /logout never fail.

TSI for being my first example of a premade in STO.

Those guys would team up in the morning (my time), and proceed to annihilate the queue for 2-3 hours. lol.

Get good or get the **** out. :D

Shift for pushing me learn PvP communication. It made me better and took my game to the next level.

Hank for being a tenacious PvPer and a good mentor. He showed me to power through the worse possible **** and come out victorious on the other side.

Jorge for being a funny guy, and one of the best scis I've ever teamed up with.

Zelda for being a good friend in STO and an Ace tactical. He pushed us in -nC- to the next level when he joined us. We will pound on people in SC next.

David for being an awesome partner Sci in our battles against the rest. And for showing me that kindness is not dead in STO.

Minimax never surrenders! He was flying BoPs and a busted TRIBBLE B'rel when you could decloak him when healing him with a HoT. No one in this game has more right to be called Klingon than him. He has also been a catalyst in a lot of the most insane burst possible in the game. He got me interested in burst way back when I was new in the game, and my Tac decloakers are mostly modeled using his theories.

Husanak for showing me some early insight into timing and piloting in his many forum threads.

    Edit:

I'll edit this post as I remember more people.

pfft so many candidates, too much to name on my ipad keyboard before i start making typos lol

At the end of the day everyone I ever played with or against regularly fits on the list. Friend or most hated foe, at the end they all had their personalities which is an awesome memory upon itself.

Though if I had to choose only ONE guy for nomination next to all the great players this game has/had, it would be Mikey aka. Raveness / Vaajeeta / MrYocCM / VenWar.

No matter how bold and insulting he could be, it was just who he was. And it always brought me a smile :)

Because of this somewhat sentimental and emotional thread Ive decided to re use my oldest avatar and signature all the way back from 2010/2011 :p

Funnily this is actually back in the days where aux2bat was truly useless and defiant + aegis was king!

Who was or is your most memorable PvPer / Fleet for good or bad reasons?

I'll give a few to start off with:

Era - The best healer ever grace this game

Hands down hardest to kill "tank" ever in sto. There was no greater victory than to one pass Era Skysni when the only way to get it done was tricobalt torpdeo crit (when the chance was ~10%). There was no rom cloak voth shield or even tac team auto-distro. There was only true skills.
    zorandra wrote: »

amen brother hardcore oldschool ftw. im talking about people naz would never know!

    //but seriously

We've all got our good friends and battle buds over the years. (ive got over 1000 on my f list in game a fraction of the 5k members of opvp) But what makes a player GREAT? Its funny the best player ever by all worthy accounts was Era, becus that TIME has long passed. Hardly a flash in the pan, but no hall of famer.

I'm talking about the LEGENDS. The players that defined a class/ship/style. Not just once upon a time, but EVERY time. Every nerf, every new season, every new challenge, every new threat.. every new hack...

They came back STRONGER. Few fall into this upper eschelon of truly LEET. Even fewer fleets can truly say they started day ONE. Even if they were never number one, they contended for literally years. Whether a Troy Aikman or a Jim kelly, the power players have been there from the beginning.

^^ seems like a slap in the face to most of you (post-f2p types, no offense guys). But I feel this thread needs an extra-special omage to the REAL veterans round here. BETA BROTHERS. Were u there for the only klingon space invasion of esd!? Did u max out ur toon on pvp and kahless expanse missions!!!!!!!!!!!?
    ahem i digress

So yeah check ur /played and get back to me. Whether u started blue blood and ended up red team or kdfed from day 1 like urs truly; YOU GOT TO PUT SOME SERIOUS TIME IN THIS GAME IF YOU WANNA BE SOMEBODY.

I'm a start with honorable mentions and also rans.
Pandas subsection:so many pandas so little time
Mt-Tie: It truly saddens me you arent around anymore. Always fun to see what we would pull with the same setups. You know, like manual vs automatic........................

Naz: Later comer then mt(who was a noob once) again a misfortune for the game u have moved to greener pastures. Your will to compete and bring idreas to the table was a blessing for us all. Tis why I often came to your ts to talk shop and gossip about the latest op. Ahh tricobalt whirlwind good times. Even tho we didnt always see eye to eye and u were a noob.. gg

Jorf: oh hurleybird and the noncloaking bop. If only i had a crystal ball to show u the future back in 2010 u wouldnt have used 2 rsp on ur bop. DAMAGE FTW

    Old-timers

Guys like DOB made this game for me. The first real challenge, the first real threat. The megaold school feds were a different breed. Ultime, Ninjaboy and s 31. By the time TSI came to dominate the stage was set, and "op klingons" fought against true hacks....

but for the grand hoorah liek i said so few people qualify. so many have dropped off, so many have quit. Who was a somebody as long as i can remember? AND IS STILL ARoUND?

    Minimax's STO Hall Of Fame

    //tsi still alive!
Hilbert: Upstanding, never trolling, never qqing, an everlasting presence and contributor beyond most of craptics dev team by far. LONG LIVE LEADERBOARD
Thecylus: Admin of opvpchat and one of few remaining members of that oldcrew. Good times. Many times. Good tank, friend from the very begining.
    //NCALLSTARS
Snog: i could be wrong but snogs been around forever puttin time in multiple fleets. This guy is all over the place, gettin it done, time and time again. U never forget the first tiem you got snooped. oouch
Zan: The coolest chic in the game that i know. A living compendium of mmo experience and a tremendous asset to the best fleet in the game! And doing her darnedest to get the stink of fed off playing kdf ftw. Tournament champion.. all around bad TRIBBLE.
    //sneaky panda
Damian CaptHorizon: cadence.staying power. getting it done 1v1 (handing myass to me) until the power of proton. But didnt quit the game!
//OriginalMembers of MY DBD FLEET AT ONE TIME!
Husanak: even tho u were good enuff for stardagger and i wasnt, we remained friends many good times over the years.
Kilawpath: Whether in the very begining, last year in durdens or last week in kerrat, Kila fights for the kdf! His contributions never forgotten.
The entire fleet of RE. Never really got to know those guys too personally, but had many a great fights. I fought entrax as RE, as a member of 6 different fleets over the yrs myself. Props to Rampatoulle elysion for bring it it yr after yr. I really dont think any other fleets qualify. Altho im unsure about 32nds origin.

Seems liek thered be more but i cant think of many people who were here form day1.

    HOBO FLEET ALLSTARS
altho its lame to toot your own horn, it must be done. While its a damned shame alot of these guys were playing fed v fed while i was begging for a pop fvk... the past is the past and the future is BLOOD RED.

Zelda: fleet leader extraordinaire. In the history of the game Post bug ship, NO PLAYER has been more dominant. Escort healer vaper ALL STAR LEGEND. I had my most fun times since joining HOBO fleet. QAPLA!

Kell: Unofficial number 2 HOBOpvp champion. No hate on Ncore, but once hobos moved to a proper kdf teamspeak and centralized from there, **** got real. Anybody and everybody in kerrat knows to fear the ethercircuit

Tal Devolved One- I feel liek this guy was around since the very begining but im not so sure. What is sure is dedication to hobo! The yin to my yang, one of few hobos WITHOUT proper vaper. "immdie here" .. "ohnice good healing"

Zan and snog show up here too, double duty as dastardly fed foe and bff.

Ygg. when i say gamma two piece he says rdy!

    and~500 more.

So to sum it up, keep living in the past, was some damned good times Aytanhi and faithborn BLAH BLAHBLAH......

Bring it to the NOW. The FUTURE is suffering for all who remain. Dare oppose the KDF and BE PUNISHED

    PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-PUNISH THE FEDS-

Knowing Gripple Chews or Ash and ghost or Kila where cracking up as hard as I was off the mic between the Form on wings and Pri and Sec and Tersh target calls was just golden.

Getting in a match with you and listening to him rage when you didn't follow Orders was just so damn funny. I swear I remember one time I teamed with you I didn't answer him for a couple minutes cause I spit milk out my nose. I don't think he ever knew how much fun we where having. The battle sphere was a very serious place after all. lmao
