Before it crashes, the label at the bottom says: Error 4: Attempted view is invalid. Restart in 6..5..4..3..2..1 -> Crash.

Getting the same error readout here too, allthough I was able to log in and play twice today ( only after about 20 attempts).
I got the following script error when the launcher crashed on exit:
    line 10
    char 1
    Error 'switchcontent' is undefined
    code 0
    http://launcher.startrekonline.com/js/switchicon.js

The link at the end is part of the error code

Same story as above, on the two machines that I regularly play on (both Windows 7)

    Star Trek Online.exe 2010.3.22.1132

What strange is I have a another copy of the launcher for champians Online. I launch them separate for champians and for STO. both are the same version number but each is setup to only dispaly the games they are for. The champian one does not crash on exit or restarts on exit.

edited: made a copy of my champions online launcher and renamed the sto launcher to sto_old. I then renamed the champion online launcher copy as Star Trek Online. I ran the launcher got in game play a bit then when I lexited STO it did not restart or get a invalid view error.

This should be fixed for now. More permanent solution to follow some time next week.

Good. Just tried logging out of game and did not get a crash this time. Must have been something done on server side to stop this...I suppose.

Thanks for staying on top of this coderanger. :)

Would like to add that on one of my two machines I typically use, the client doesn't start up again after logging out, so therefore it doesn't crash. I'm assuming that's the "workaround." I've yet to see what happens on the other machine, but I'mma guess the same.
