Also that defiant variant with the two little horns that stick out the front, it just looks like some really bad TOS ship that's been stuck in as a variant without much thought.
If I recall, the Gallant is based off concept art for the Defiant that was rejected for exactly that reason. That being said, I do like the nacelles, and use them on mine.
As for the designs I hate, the Star Cruiser Family and the Klingon Vo'Quv family comes to mind, as do quite a few of the alternate skins for Romulan ships.

Galaxy class. Only because it seems they got all the proportions wrong. Go back and watch an episode of TNG. ENT-D looks graceful and powerful and swift all at the same time. The STO Galaxy does not look right when the two are compared side by side.
To be fair, the game engine and the model app used may not allow for all of the correct curves in all of the correct places. Having been involved in some mod projects over the years for other Trek based games, I can well understand how frustrating it can be to get a Galaxy just right. In the other games, we always seemed to be just a bit off. And it showed enough to be annoying.

Forgot the Fed Science Ships. Not the Nebbies, the Lunas or the Vestas. The other ones. The ones with the Science Pod hanging underneath. Yeah, those Science ships.
Been tempted for a long time to get one and name it U.S.S. Banana Hammock NX-99101

LOL!
Thanks for the laugh!
I have to say, I have enjoyed Kit-bashing with those ships.
Confession:
I have more than a passing interest in pods. In fact.. I ENJOY them...
Kar'Fi may be one of the better ships, but it's definitely the ugliest :P
Question of taste. I love it. The devs did an excellent job capturing a "ghost" ship look. And watching it firing every beam array from those things is really cool
The hobus bop ( i think, cant remember now) is one of the most ugliest ships in the game, i never liked the ody as well.
But the ugliest ship for me is the new luxury cruiser.. :P
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

But for specifics:
Fed: Alternate skins on the Galaxy-class (Venture is ok)
KDF: Tor'khat skin on Fleet Vor'Cha
Rom: The entire non-canon Warbird lineup
ALL: Dyson Science Destroyers
Lockbox/Lobi: Bulwark

Wow, the Avenger really does look like a Lego ship now that you mention it. That's kinda hilarious.

Do you mean HoH'SuS class?
Since I'm here ... I hate the ShiKahr and Gladius-classes.
