the date for the next UFPAC has been announced yesterday!
The UFPAC is the United Federation of Planets Award Ceremony (pronounced U-F-P-A-C).
The event is held roughly every 3 months and awards members with rank advancements, as well as medal achievements. It is also used as an opportunity to announce important events or discussions within the UFP and allows members at the end of the event to have the floor should they wish to bring any subject forward with the community and/or the present members of the Federation Executive Office.
I recommend this fleet for anyone looking to join a fleet. I joined a few days ago and the community is very nice and active. I have even had some in game assistance during missions and tips to improve my game play experience. Let them know that TerranEmpire4Ever sent you over!!
did you know we are also running a special division dedicated to serious gaming: The Elite Strike Force. It is a Star Trek Online division responsible for end game support across the Federation, Klingon (and Romulan) factions. Unlike most divisions, members must apply and meet a certain gear and experience standard in order to join this division. This standard is set so that all members in the ESF can game at the Elite-difficulty level for STFs.
I had some spare Zen so decided to invest it in 5 lock box keys so that I could get a little more Lobi to put towards buying some pearls to get me to the Risian Cruiser that little bit faster and on the last box I opened I got the 8472 Bioship!
Haven't decided if I will use it yet or sell it. Thoughts on whether it is a keeper? The BOFF layout looks pretty good.
It's a very good ship, however I wouldn't fly it because...Undine. xD
That being said, it would fetch a very good penny on the Exchange, so if there is another lockbox/lobi ship you are interested in, it might net you enough EC to pick it up.

I usually like my characters to be as authentic as possible so a bioship doesn't really make much sense to me. With previous lockbox ships I've tried to fit them with a character often involving creating new characters, got a Ferengi in a D'Kora, made a Hirogen for the Hirogen Escort, made a Jem'Hadar for the Bug ship, a Vorta for the Dominion Heavy Escort, Cardassian for the Galor Class.
Problem is I just have too many characters with all the grind, getting them to 50 is easy but getting them top quality gear, completing rep and doffs is just far too much effort.
I am half tempted to sell it, I got one of the Elachi ships and sold that as I couldn't justify it and the money came in nice. I'll likely hold on to it for a while and think it through.
Well, depending on your interests...I can heartily recommend the Voth Flight Deck Cruiser. It's an enemy ship, true...but it's a heck of a lot of fun. xD
But yeah, personally I would cash it in on the exchange. Who knows what the next lockbox will have/what the next expansion will bring, and EC always spends.
The Risian cruiser isn't a bad ship, I made mine pretty and pink! The Breen cruiser the winter before last was also good, there have been some nice free ships that have come out. What I would really like to see is a T5 Miranda... :cool:

For those who are not only playing STO but are also interested in all other type of Star Trek games too we are also a running a special division called "Starfleet Reserves". They support classic games like Bridge Commander, Star Trek Armada 2 (+3), Star Trek Elite Force etc...
Our Federation News Service (FNS) will be able to do an interview with Cryptics staff.
This interview will be touching on several subjects with regards to upcoming content, specifically season 9.5 and Expansion #2.

Yes it does have a unique bridge, doesn't look very attractive to me but I'm not a big fan of the whole biological construction aesthetic.
I love the Galaxy class such an amazing looking ship but I just don't enjoy it in STO as much as I think I should.
