Our servers didn't make it back from the Holiday weekend here in the states. We are currently experiencing some unscheduled downtime. Our team is investigating and we will post updates as we receive them. Thanks for the reports everyone!
No, it's affecting me as well. Was fine an hour or so back, but now I'm getting interface lag, severe rubber-banding, disconnects and problems logging in.
You're not alone. I've been disconnected three times in the past half hour, and the game seemed to lag around that point too. I'll be giving it a miss for the rest of the day (cause I'll be at work).
same here, got kicked several times from an ige, a lot of rubberbanding, but only since 1h from now...
i did a traceroute to patchserver.crypticstudios.com and got stucked in the last hopes before the server, i lost packets on 38.111.40.114 .... idk
After 8 disconnects during surface tension mission, finally got into ESD and due to lag Tuvok will not follow me so mission is borked. Guess it is time to call it a day until servers settle later on.
NO, its not the cogentco servers, since i never had these issues before and i am from Europe..
The TraceRt shows traffic from Europe goes through the Cogentco servers so them playing up affects us badly. Each Cogentco server I hop through is a 115ms+ ping.

115 is about normal for those servers from here in Scotland, but my trace showed one of the Boston servers spiking at 300+, which isn't of much use for anything let alone online gaming.
It's not just you, and it's not just STO. I just had problems logging out of Neverwinter, and when I tried logging into STO, I got an "Unable to Authenticate" message at the login window. Having the same results through both Arc and Steam. Looks like the cannibal tribbles got into Cryptic's wiring again...
Each time I try to log in useing the Cryptic launcher I resive the message: Unable to authenticate
I am the only one or is a general issue?

No, you're never the only one. In a world of 7 billion people, you're never the only one.
