One quick note about the dev blog that needs correction: it states
" These missions will also give out a Tal Shiar Lock Box that comes with a chance to win a Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser in addition to its normal rewards..."
Actually, it's the Destroyer, not the Battlecruiser (that's the Lobi ship). This may have been pointed out elsewhere in the thread, but I wasn't going to dig through 11 pages to look for it.

Well the Staging area has seen some new life into it since S9 went live. Fairly easy way now of triggering the Daily Bonus (actually if you are there and get a Red Alert, finishing that triggers the Daily Bonus as well).

My main has been at T5 rep for quite some time and is still collecting these Marks. Had almost 11k during the Bonus Dilitium event and turned in over 6k Marks for dilitium. Now I have four alts that just within the last week reach T5 and two more within a few days. I was really relegated to just buying the rep torpedo, console, and in a case or two the array. Now however I may just pick up a Romulan or Reman space set or two out of those six alts.

Now while it was stated that Epohh Tagging daily missions are not affected by the permanent doubling of rewards (as they give out Research and not Marks) it was never explicitly stated that turning in the Epohhs would not get a permanent double. Anyone check this out?

And to the person who asked about the pitiful awards being given out by Vault: Ensnared - today's patch notes stated:

"The Vault: Ensnared queued event now gives out the correct rewards."

Well the Box can give out both during this event, including the Lobi one.

The Bundles are, the individual ships aren't. If you don't have the T'Varo, getting the Starter Pack is a good plan at the moment since it also comes with 2 Bridge Officer slots for each of your Romulan faction characters as well as the ships... and a Reman Liberated Borg Bridge Officer, but the boff version of Efficient is inferior to the Operative, Infiltrator and Subterfuge otherwise available, so meh. If you have disposable income, the Legacy Pack costs 6.24 times as much (at the discounted prices this weekend) but gives you pretty much everything but the Scimitar 3-Pack.

Not as good as the ship sale, but not bad. I still wish there were Federation and Klingon versions of the Starter Pack and Legacy, though in all honesty the Klingon ship roster needs more to it if it wants a Legacy Pack equivalent and the Federation one would have to leave out a chunk of the ship lineup to pare down to an equivalent. Okay, maybe just Federation and Klingon Starter Packs?

The Radition Reports turn in isn't calculating properly.

    The box says :

Turn in 100 Radiation Reports for 8 Romulan Marks
Turn in 200 Radiation Reports for 18 Romulan Marks
Turn in 300 Radiation Reports for 30 Romulan Marks

When I clicked on the the turn in 300 Reports option, I received 45 Romulan Marks.

So I didn't get the double nor quadruple bonus of marks (since it's during this event and on New Romulus).

Unless my math is wrong, new bonus should be 60 and with event 120.

Also I tried the option of turn in 100 reports and received 12 Romulan Marks.

Shall I send in a Bug report and try to get the additional Romulan Marks? Or is this Working As Intended?

In other news, this "patch" has completely destroyed what it was supposed to improve by twofold. What an amazing fail.

Stuff that's not specifically a mission award such as collections, get a 50% bump in reward rather than the double reward that's for mission rewards. So this is as intended.

I am trying to finish my Romulan V reputations with power source/secrets of the ancients. The door is dead/no blinky. I have finsihed all the other missions.

Is this area shut down for the weekend? Bugged? Etc???

Yeah, I picked up the mission. I also tried the power source daily on other characters. They get the same result. The door is not glowing. Can't get into the place.

    Season 9 Dev blog #21
All mission rewards on New Romulus have had their Romulan Mark rewards doubled permanently. This includes all neighborhood missions, local events and reputation instances. This does not include the epohh tagging daily mission (which rewards epohh research and not Romulan Marks). The Romulan Rock Analyst will now reward 30 Romulan Marks for turning in 10 Resonating Rocks. Similarly, the Romulan Plant Analyst will now reward 30 Romulan Marks for 10 Glowing Plants. Additionally, during New Romulus Weekend, which will run from May 22nd at 10AM PDT until May 27th at 10AM PDT, Romulan Mark rewards on New Romulus will be doubled again! During these missions, the Tal Shiar Lock Box can drop which now comes with a chance to win a Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser in addition to its normal rewards (this still requires a Lock Box Key to open). Romulan Mark rewards throughout the rest of the game, including PvE queues, will be rewarding 150 percent of their normal rewards. Jump into maps like Atmosphere Assault, Azure Nebula Rescue, Defend Rh’ihho Station, Mine Trap, The Vault: Ensnared, and Vault Shuttle Event.

Definitely seems like the descriptions don't match up with the Dev blogs stated rewards would be and since the patch entirely broke New Romulus interacts I can't have faith that the left hand knows what the right hand is doing in Dev land it seems.

Yeah the plants and rocks aren't glowing in a lot of areas. I completed the Tholian ruins area, but it's on a 20 hour cooldown. The crater can't be done. Not sure if I feel like testing the other spots on NR.

What a joke. They reduced the amount of Romulan marks you get for events then have a "special event" to increase them?

This is like a store marking up their products by double the price then having a "50% off sale."

    LOLwut?

They DOUBLED the amount of marks that you get from the previously-interminable NR ground missions, and added a bonus on top of that for the event.

They didn't reduce ANYTHING; if they had, especially with a grind as bad as rommie rep, people would've left the game en masse.

    Thanks, Smirk...

I just hit New Romulus and accepted the Staging Area daily... except, nothing's reacting - suspicious persons and lazy Romulans aren't reacting, there's no interacts for repair machinery (Not even the shuttle) and the report collectables aren't working.

Additional; Even the Warehouse door isn't interactable...

It's honestly frustrating; I was making good progress with the old Mark rewards, I got excited about the boosted rewards cutting down the amount of time my Rep projects would take... Except with the New Romulus Dailies and Instances not working, I've lost time since I'm not earning any marks at all. Net result of New Romulus Appreciation Weekend; the exact opposite of the intent since I'm not appreciating New Romulus at the moment...

Additional; And the New Romulus Red Alerts aren't 'alerting', either - I beamed from the Staging Area to Paehhos Crater to test a second location and beamed right into a Red Alert situation that the 'Red Alert' button had never shown up to inform me of and offer me a site-to-site transport...

    So there's about a 1 in 200 chance of a TSABC, and about a 1 in 200 chance of a TSAD?

Interesting. Might actually be worth opening the boxes with the explicit aim of getting a ship...

The blog implies that there will be a battlecruiser automatically added to every box on top of the normal rewards; could you please clarify that this is not the case in the blog before more people get confused? EDIT: NVM, I see that this has already been fixed. That, or I misread the blog on my first read.

    Thank you!
    125 zen (price of a lockbox key) x 200 (keys/lockbox) = 25,000 zen

    25,000 zen / 2,000 zen = 12.5 (instances of 2,000 zen within 25,000)

    12.5 (instances of 2,000 zen) X $20 (price to buy 2,000 zen) = $250 (price to obtain a ship)

...and, that is with no guarantee of obtaining a ship. Since there is no guarantee in obtaining a ship, you could literally blow $400 on nothing.

As more and more people throw lockboxes out, while others put them on the exchange, the chances of obtaining a ship will diminish over time.

    Good luck.

Appreciate the update notice Capt Smirk,

Just some info for the bug hunt team,

several characters have the same no interact button issue, but the characters that I have gotten it to work for all of them have never run the staging area mission until today not sure why that would make a difference but the only different thing between my alts that can get the missions to work and those that can't. tested on over 20 character so far and is the common point.

Maybe our characters are looking for old coding that no longer exists because they're somehow still 'registered' to pre-Mark Boost coding and not the new post-Boost coding? A character that didn't 'register' to the old coding wouldn't be looking for and not finding it, right?

It was always pretty surreal for Vulcans, too. In fact, a Romulan not knowing the details of Surak's death makes more sense than a Vulcan not knowing them, not a lot more, mind you, but more.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
