flowerpots and ramps and bland walls everywhere was certainly enough.

so players want it all in one? why not mix the lounge and club into one? a dance floor in the middle, chairs and tables around the outside with a bar at one end. a large enough passage for people to come and go.

my initial idea was something along these lines, but more like the shape of a keyhole for the dance floor so people dance there and zuza's on her decks at the central point. on the side you have a darker lit area with chairs and tables, with a glass wall separating the lounge and dance floor, no windows or anything like that, so it looks and feels like something from underground in a sense.

This is what i had in mind.

Mass Effect was an excellent choice to draw some of their inspiration upon for ESD. All they have to do now is continue that trend by drawing from M.E. clubs Afterlife & Purgatory (mainly the latter) and we will have one, Epic, Club 47!

not unless there is a mechanic put into the c47 map specifically that disables any use of being disco ball bombed.

A Jukebox players could control that would cost Latinum to put a song in? A currency that not so easy to get, but not difficult with some effort either.

    Club 47v2 worth fighting for

Again, I don't expect us to have 100 tracks to go through. We MIGHT be able to get 3 or 4 out of the Audio team. So having a way for players to "pick" a song between 3 options, seems pointless to me.

In trek, lounges seemed to have multiple uses..plays, orchestral and many musical performances. On the more casual side, i could see a type of step stage, maybe with a grand piano, and stepping up to the wall for orchestral events (probably circular steps)

    @Taco

If the 2 levels are problematic and light from the earth view is a problem for the disco lighting then why not make an inner and an outer club with the lounge having the window seat to earth and the dark disco dance floor closer to the center of esd. Think of it like a club with a patio outside.

No it isn't. It is insipid, monochromatic, uninspired, soulless etc etc.

The old ESD was the absolute TACKIEST place in STO. The colors, the decorations, the big Playskool signs were absolutely hideous.

Next you'll tell me that you have shag carpet in your house.

There are some conversations that are not worth starting...

We need a party button somewhere over the bar or dance floor. Like a combo air horn baloon discoball for free with a couple minutes cooldown or something.

We also need a wall that's a bigass fish tank full of crazy glow in the dark space fish. Like the fleet starbase, but with more lsd.

And we need an occasional distinctive guest dj

What wouldn't be out of place is this: Put music from now (like 60s or 70s on)..... IN CLUB 47. It'd be funny as hell to see a bunch of aliens dancing to rock or something.....

Also, make the NPCs get angry whenever Bieber or 1D is played.....

I rest my case, gentlemen. :D

I don't know what sort of music should be played but as long as it is different from what has been playing the galaxy over, as for the new C47 I would like it if it had a clear dome like roof giving a 360 view of space, possibly have 3 or 4 beams to allow light fittings etc to be attached but mainly to have a big open look.

    Just a thought

    Ooby Dooby from "First Contact"
Where my Heart takes me "Enterprise Theme Song"

Those wpuld only play when the player drops a few bars latinum, otherwise we get a couple of wallpaper club music trackson rotation.

A party button like that would be spammed mercilessly, instead I'd suggest a button that makes your toon (Just yours, no one else's) dance automatically.

I like the guest DJ idea.

It's not even a Star trek theme song, it was the ending music of the Robin Williams movie Patch Adams. If they decide to play that music I hope the club is going to have razor-blade dispensers.

A quiet lounge area would be a good place to park all of the Diplomats standing around in Admiral Quinn's office, the pad sitting on the floor is a good sign that the guy has only so much patience, at some point he's gonna want to throw all of those windbags out.

you can't spam something that has a cooldown longer than a minute, and he said a couple minute's cooldown

Make the Captain's Table door a door in the club, BUT make it a door that opens to a broom closet or something like that unless you have the LTS/400 day vet reward code (it's the access code or something), then it pops up with a "enter the portal" command that takes you to the Captain's table.

I really like your broom closet idea. Hope to see something along those lines. It'd be a neat little bit of flavor. Then again, perhaps it would be considered too much work for too little reward. Not sure how difficult it'd be. If simple/quick to implement, it could be cool.

We need a high roller's couch like Aria's overlooking the dance floor.

We also need polls. Seriously. That nimbus club had the right vibe.

And if not dabo, some kind of mini game, if at all possible. Slot machine, space invaders, whatever.

    Taco,

I know the Captains table is not on the docket here... but the entire map is just pitiful and useless. The windy corridors are aggravating and are reminiscent of how things were done in the past. You can get what you need to get done on ESD faster and there is more stuff. It is awfully designed and really adds no value other than an homage to Pocket Books...

Unfortunately there is little to no financial incentive to do anything with the map and that stinks.... What can we do to change your minds?
