Your lamest death? (story-sharing)

CSE. Everything went like clockwork, freaking surgical, but then the third cube pops and I go after a parcel of lose Negh'Vars. We pop 'em in a barrage of gunfire ... and I get caught in all three warp core breaches one after the other.

As I wait to respawn, I go, "KDF regrets to inform you that your sons are dead because they were stupid."

    I just got hit by the planet killer in 8472 Assault... And it did'n even target me... AND I was a full health.
    And while I was waiting to spawn, Everyone else died, so it went from 7% to 100%....


    Don't think it gets worse than that.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    Today. Undine Battlezone. I do side beam boat style damage with my vesta (I am not here to discuss my ship setup). I was on my side firing at the planet killer and realized, I parked to close. Tick Tick BOOOM. I went down with it o.O; That's the only time I've ever died in the Undine BZ and I get full hands on with the enemy.

    Well, not MY death, but I would beam in Romulan Reinforcements on Nukara Prime. They kept bursting into flames! Took a few more time to figure out why... :confused:

    so far the one that takes the cake remains the time some bunghole used tractor beams to drop an exploding ship on me in a fleet alert.

    Step Between Stars, fighting the Voth. I selected the beam things for support.

    First wave went good. Tuvok was knocked unconscious on the second wave. Third wave, I hit security escort, my horta, and shard of possibilities. I'm pretty sure all my doffs procced, because a glorious army appeared and marched into battle ahead of me...

    Right into the beam, vaporizing them all and leaving me to die alone, unable to fight back in shocked disbelief.

    I was in Ker'rat and had been flying my Fleet T'varo for about a week. I was looking around for a target and was watching a Scimitar FAWing every NPC in sight. Well I drifted into firing range and I automatically decloaked, fired a torp and instantly died from buffed faw spam. When I respawned I realized I failed to turn off autofire on my torp...

    Otherwise, I've died a ton. Invisitorps, vapes, core breaches while held/placated/not paying attention, FBP while I'm attempting to alpha, ramming speed jousting, and most recently to blobs of goo in fludic space. But the only deaths I've had that I've kicked myself for are the ones where I forget to switch power setting presets or something stupid.

    Dropped a beta 3 pattern of tricobalt mines, then got tractored and caught in the AOE from them. Over 100K damage. SPLAT

    I was in the Undine Battlezone when one of the battleships spawns right in my face, and immediately uses it's planet cracker ability. . .






    . . . on one of my Peregrine Fighters. RIP. :(

    Old Mirror Invasion, pinned just under the 'hood' of the station by 2 typhoons both popping their TBR at the same time while my follow-cam spazzed out. Like being a bug on a windshield.

    Not mine, but pretty lame none-the-less. Last night, as I was heading away from the 10km kill range of the absorbtion phase of elite CE I watched a newly rezzed cruiser head full impulse straight towards it. He was still on full impulse when it popped. A whole 5 seconds from spawn to down for the count. I just had to shake my head.

    KASE: I hit abandon ship instead of fleet support, and ended up taking like 10 of some guy's fighters with me. Needless to say, he wasn't exactly happy.

    PVP with fleetmates, was going great (IE roflstomp in my favor) until my own omega high yield critted as I nearly collided with someone... yeah I killed myself.

    MU Event, i was in my fed sci destroyer and i was cruising around and suddenly I'm surrounded by 4 typhoons and get caught by all of them in tractor beams and every single one hits me with torpedo spread and i go instaboom.

    Quite sad really. On that one the federation says "The federation regrets to inform you, your service man was dead because the Vice Admiral in charge was stupid."

    Getting insta-gibbed by Donatra in KASE as soon as she decloaks, despite the fact Borticus says it is literally impossible for that to happen.

    five minutes ago..

    prior to this was all the times I have accidentally killed myself with the Borg/ Omega Plasma bolt- if it explodes within 1 k or so it kills you-

    but I just got player team killed in the first cure space stf, when a cube blasted the whole group with a super kill..

    and then the game crashed, hmmm...

    Earlier today. Doing Starbase 24 and attempted to tank 4 Klingon battlecruisers, with a Miranda.


    unfortunately, I had forgotten I was in my Newest character, not my Main Sci's antiproton 3.5k DPS Miranda...



    Still, for the first time I actually got ranked in first place in a PUG queue, so it wasn't all bad.

    The Borg Queen wee-dashing (I kinda heard her "weeee" actually) towards my ship, Aceton-Assimilator-happy-of-DOOM. Two hits that destroyed my tanking Recluse through full shields and hull.

    anyway, my funny death was I was attacking the flagship group of the terran DSEs over in Beta Usera....to put it bluntly they had FOUR escorts....and their PDS still hits hard even if they are level 32 and im lvl 50....I dided...and not 5 seconds later they all died due to my OP Grav well

    Any time I'm randomly one shot by anything, whether it be the "fixed" Borg torp of death, or any other time. My main is an engineering cruiser captain, and I should be getting 1 shot by anything, but yet it still manages to happen from time to time. I don't know if it's some crazy circumstance where a phaser shield disable procs just before I get slammed by the strongest torpedo ever, or what, but somehow, occasionally, I go from full shields/hull hp to warp core breach in .5 seconds.

    Was doing assimilation last night and somehow got one-shotted by the Assimilated Undine... no idea how that happened.... I suspect a lag spike was involved though.

    first time i did the revamped mission, got one-shot assimilated by it

    though, i did find out you now get an accolade for being borgified, so it wasn't all bad

    Yesterday I died standing in a fire because I had stopped running around to check on a completed doff assignment. I really needed the dilithium.

    as amusing as that is, i think walking through air after lunging at an airborne target was funnier...too bad cryptic fixed it so you can't do that anymore
